Good News for Texas Voters

from: the American Thinker:

Thanks to the Supreme Court, the new Texas voter ID law was in effect when early voting began in the 2014 midterm. The court upheld the Fifth Circuit’s stay pending appeal of an October 11, 2014 District Court injunction barring implementation of the law’s voter ID provisions. The last-minute injunction was issued by Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos in an opinion whose content and timing make it smell suspiciously like the grievance industry’s race card.

[E]ven where specific discriminatory practices end, their effects persist. It takes time for those who have suffered discrimination to slowly assert their power.  Because of past discrimination and intimidation, there is a general pattern by African-Americans of not having the power to fully participate.

The Civil Right of Voter Fraud

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The hysteria has begun, although it never really subsided.

Like the IOC (International Olympic Committee), president declaring the Olympic Games open, so too has our beloved leader officially declared, in this election-year, the protection of voter fraud has begun.

Yes, Barack Milhouse Obama has kicked off the commencement of the seven-month full-court press to protect our “precious” right to vote and the closer we get to the upcoming midterms in November, the more ridiculous the rhetoric will become.

As an aside, some may wonder about the “Milhouse” thing. Mark Levin started it years ago, when people would complain about the use of Obama’s real middle name, Hussein. So Levin simply took Nixon’s and inserted it.

You see, the use of Hussein makes Obama sound like a terrorist, which he is, in a manner of speaking. He is, after all trying and succeeding in “blowing up” the Constitution. read more

Democrat Voters Are Lazy and Stupid

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Why does MoveOn.org have such a low opinion of Democrat voters? It appears they think Democrat voters lack patience, are lazy and stupid.

You might say; those are pretty strong accusations. What proof do you have to back up such incendiary claims?

Just this. I receive alerts from time to time from our friends at the reasonable, middle-of-the-road group, MoveOn.org.

A few days ago I received one asking me to stop by Democrat Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter’s New Hampshire reelection campaign headquarters in Manchester to support their fight. What fight?

Well, the alert stated that MoveOn recently, “Launched a Defend the Vote Campaign”. That sounds nice. Who wouldn’t want to defend the vote? Naturally, being a voter, I too would like to defend my right to vote. So what do they feel the need to defend exactly? read more

Odd Coincidence

Quick Hit:

It’s now been confirmed how racist and discriminatory the new Florida voter I.D. law is.

Since a new set of state voting laws went into effect more than a year ago, the number of new Democrats registering in Florida has all but disappeared, according to a Times-Union review.

During the 13 months beginning July 1 the year before elections in 2004 and 2008, registered Democrats increased by an average of 209,425 voters. From 2011 to this year, that number was 11,365.

In Duval County alone there were about 13,000 new Democrats, meaning the rest of the state lost them.

Over that same time, the number of registered Republicans increased by 128,039, topping the average of 103,555 during the past two presidential cycles.

Overall, Democrats still hold a 445,794 statewide registration advantage.

Double Standard?

by: Dana Loesch

At a recent Obama rally in Ohio, prospective attendees were told to brandish their photo IDs if they expected admittance to the rally. No word yet on whether Attorney General Eric Holder plans to file suit against the Obama campaign for infringing upon Ohioans’ right of peaceful assembly by way of a racist photo ID rule.

Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign’s Ohio Press Secretary, confirmed in a statement to BuzzFeed that the campaign checked every supporter’s identification at the door.

“We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out,” she said. “We did this for every person who came in.”

Since President Obama sides with Holder in thinking it’s Racist™ for states to require photo identification to vote, he must be apoplectic at himself for discriminating against those who don’t get state-issued photo IDs. By asking for rally-goers to provide photo ID before entry, the Obama campaign is silently sanctioning the effectiveness of photo identification.

What makes a rally different from voter integrity? What makes buying cigarettes, alcohol, renting a car, a hotel room, cashing a check, opening a bank account, membership at the Y, buying cold medicine, or entering a club any different? You check photo identification to protect the thing which such an exchange accesses and to confirm that you are the age you claim. Is a person’s vote less unworthy of protection than buying Sudafed — or attending an Obama rally?

Evidently, for some, it is.

Let My People Vote!

by: the Common Costitutionalist

The Huffington Post writes that Attorney General Eric Holder told members of the Congressional Black Caucus and the Conference of National Black Churches last Wednesday that the right to vote was threatened across the country.

“The reality is that in jurisdictions across the country, both overt and subtle forms of discrimination remain all too common and have not yet been relegated to the pages of history,” Holder told the audience, made up of black church and political leaders, during a faith leaders summit in Washington.

Foul! Foul! Separation of Church & State! Sorry; couldn’t resist.

“If a state passes a new voting law and meets its burden of showing that the law is not discriminatory, we will follow the law and will approve that change,” Holder said. (comment: which would be never) “When a jurisdiction fails to meet its burden in proving that a voting change will not have a racially discriminatory effect, we will object.” (comment: which would be always)

Once again, as it always is with this administration, it’s all about race.

HuffPo continues by stating that Voter ID laws, which require voters to present official government identification before they cast a ballot in an elections, have become a hot-button issue this election cycle.

Ooh; official government identification. What is this, Nazi Germany; “Papers Please”. You mean like a driver’s license or non-drivers state I.D.? That official identification?

HuufPo claims that critics of the voter I.D. laws say that the groups most likely to be harmed by the rules — blacks, Latinos, the poor, and college students — are groups that are key parts of the Democratic voting bloc. Name one college student that doesn’t have a photo I.D.?

A study of “Voter Disenfranchisement” was done by the ultra-liberal Brennan Center for Justice. What a shocker, I know. I bet they found all but white males are “disenfranchised”.

Their “study” found the restrictions fall into five major categories: (1) requirements that voters provide specific kinds of government-issued photo ID to vote or have their votes counted; (2) requirements to provide documentary proof of citizenship in order to register and vote; (3) new restrictions on voter registration; (4) cutbacks on the availability of early and absentee voting; and (5) actions permanently depriving previously incarcerated citizens of their right to vote.

So, first you have to prove who you are by showing a photo I.D. Tragic! Get your butt down to the DMV and get an I.D. It costs less than a couple of packs of smokes these days. Heck, some states are starting to give them out. All you have to do is get there.

Second: You have to actually prove that you are a citizen to vote? Those bastards!

Does this sound as asinine to you as it does me?

Third: The new restrictions are that states are finally figuring out the “Same day Registration” nonsense. It makes it harder to cheat when they have time to check. States are also wising up to the phony “ACORN” type registration drives, where dead people,  Mickey Mouse & Abe Lincoln are mysteriously registered to vote.

Fourth: Early voting is a complete crock. It’s not as if election day just sneaks up you. You should kinda know when it comes around. Do voters have no responsibility in this country?

Fifth: They describe it as “incarcerated citizens”. Call them what they are, felons, and almost all can regain their right to vote after they’ve done their time.

The bottom line is, these so-called advocates for the “disenfranchised” just want the right to continue to cheat if they so choose and we are racists if we stand in their way. If any citizen is “disenfranchised”, it is because they choose to be.

I’ve compiled a list of things, off the top of my head, for which one would need a photo I.D. I’m sure there are many more but here are some that come to mind.

To get a job, many employers require to see a photo I.D. You need an I.D. to test drive and purchase a car, to open a bank account, to close a bank account, to buy a house, to rent an apartment, to apply for any loan, to buy booze, to buy cigarettes, to receive welfare, unemployment or food stamps.

I think that covers folks in all three of the classes in which we like to lump our citizens; Upper class (the evil rich), the sacred middle class and the disenfranchised lower class (the poor).

As long as one never has to do, or purchase, any of those things, I guess they wouldn’t need an I.D.

Voting should be treated as a privilege in this country. I’ve spoken to more than just a few immigrants from communist countries about this subject. They tell me it’s absurd that so many in this country take the vote for granted. They’re right!

Live Free or Die, Then Vote

I hope everyone is already aware of this outrage. If not, here is a quick recap.

New Hampshire has no voter I.D. law, which means that theoretically, anyone can enter a polling place, claim they are someone else and legally vote. The more remarkable thing about the law isn’t that the poll workers don’t have to ask for I.D., it is that the law states the poll workers are required to NOT ask for I.D.

Live free or Die, my ass.

Well, it has to come light nationally, via a video that has gone viral, that this is exactly was has occurred, with remarkable ease, I might add.

The people that made the video evidently checked the obituaries, walked into the polling place, claimed to be the dead person and were handed a legal ballot.

The first video is more of a fun showing, but certainly drives the point home. The second video is the actual raw footage. It’s a little long but worth the watch.

As you watch these, keep in mind, New Hampshire is a tiny state with a small electorate. Imagine what will happen & undoubtedly has happened in large states like New York, Pennsylvania or California.

A few of the clips in the next video were at the polling place where I voted. Ugh!!
