from the American Spectator:
The Telephone Bill Comes for Sundown Joe
New reasons to suspect Joe Biden will not make it to the nomination finish line.
You’ve likely never heard of Andriy Derkach, and that’s all right. If the Democrat Party and their media allies get their way, you’ll never hear of him again.
But Derkach, a former Ukrainian intelligence officer trained in Moscow and a member of the Ukrainian Parliament aligned with the party of Russia-friendly former leader Viktor Yanukovych, dropped a major bombshell Tuesday in a press conference in Kiev, releasing audiotapes of phone calls which seem very much like they include conversations between another Ukrainian leader, Petro Poroshenko, and former Secretary of State John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden in 2016.
Those audiotapes, which Derkach says he received from “investigative journalists” — it’s OK to call his sources spies — do not present, to put it kindly, Biden in a good light. The material they contain is apparently the same stuff that Rudy Giuliani was so fired up about after he made his trip to Ukraine late last year; Derkach was one of the people Giuliani met with. read more

The left is pinning all its hope on John Bolton. He is the latest “smoking gun.”
Honestly – it must be exhausting having to jump around from one smoking gun to the next. Their collective heads must be swimming by now.
How do they keep it all straight? I mean, we are so far afield from their original complaint, assuming you even remember, and I can’t blame you if you don’t. Recall that it was Trump who colluded with Russia, thus allowing Russia to tamper with the 2016 election. And due to the tampering, allowed Trump to “somehow” beat Hillary. Since Hillary wasn’t supposed to lose, Trump must have committed a crime to pull it off.
Remember that? In April of 2019, Adam Schiff stated unequivocally that there is, “ample evidence of collusion in plain sight.”
For how long did Schiff just hammer away at the “collusion” narrative? Yet all of a sudden, during that same April interview with ABC This Week’s Martha Raddatz, Schiff appeared to subtly switch to a new narrative – Obstruction of Justice! read more

The more I read about, listen to and watch coverage of the Trump impeachment show, the more I’m convinced that pound for pound, the Obama administration was the most corrupt in the history of the United States.
Oh sure, past administrations introduced more damaging policies, that have haunted our nation for decades – administrations like Woodrow Wilson’s, FDR’s and Johnson’s. But as far as criminal behavior, nobody even comes close.
And within the administration, nothing seems more corrupt that the U.S. “Deep” State Department. They worked directly with the FBI and the American Embassy in Ukraine. And all effectively working on behalf of George Soros. And if you know who that is you also know that you can’t look at a picture of George Soros without saying, “Look Mama, it’s the Devil.” (h/t the Waterboy)
Heck, one of the FBI supervisors involved in all this eventually went to work for Soros.

Impeachment Misfire: William Taylor’s Smokeless Gun
Like all poorly maintained firearms this one may do more harm to Taylor than its target
Since late Tuesday the nation has been deafened by media outlets declaring that diplomat William Taylor provided “damning” congressional testimony involving President Trump’s actions toward Ukraine. The New York Times, for example, produced this breathless headline: “Donald Trump’s Quid Pro Quo Is Now a Smoking Gun.” Evidently, the “reporters” responsible for this story failed to read Taylor’s opening statement. It consists almost entirely of hearsay, shows that he wasn’t on the fabled phone call between presidents Trump and Zelensky, and confirms that he was assured by high-ranking Trump administration officials that the president sought no quid pro quo arrangement with Ukraine in exchange for aid: read more

Knowing that progressive socialists will never give up on attempting to take President Trump out of office, some further steps and lies will come along before the end of President Trump’s first term. It is informative that now nothing is being said about the Russian collusion hoax that Hillary and the other liars in government set up to entrap our President. The American people understand that, as even Peter Strozk said, there was no there, there.
The progressive socialists who want power, so that they can wield it to force the American people to conform to the agenda that they have laid out for us, will not give up. They cannot admit what the President has done to make this country better. They can’t understand or accept that the America people turn away from socialist doctrine that they want so much for us. read more

Channeling my best Andy Rooney – Have you ever noticed that everything the democrats accuse the Republicans of is something they have already done or plan on doing?
It’s called projection and it’s quite common. As they accuse Donald Trump of strong-arming the Ukrainian president, we find out that Trump didn’t but Joe Biden did. The democrats are a collection of liars and cheaters, so they project their bad behavior on others.
Because they do it, they figure everyone must.
We’ve all done something similar from time to time – project our values or assumptions onto someone, something, or some circumstance.
In sales there is a maxim to never allow your values to cloud a transaction. You’re trying to sell something to someone and you hesitate to divulge the price because you assume that he or she will say it’s just too costly. You’ve “projected” your value system onto the other party. But just because you think something is too expensive doesn’t mean your customer will. Maybe they are accustomed to paying twice as much. How do you know?
And that, for good or ill, is projection. read more
Ukrainian military officials have unveiled an adaptable war robot that can switch up its mode of travel, and even the type of weapons it carries.
The Phantom ground robot can be fitted with tank-like treads, or move about on six wheels – and, it can carry anti-tank weapons, grenade launchers, or machine guns, according to DefenseOne.
The robot was demonstrated on Monday at the Association of the US Army show in Washington, D.C., and could hit the battlefield as soon as next year. read more
This vocabulary of cowardice emanating from Berlin and Washington is as disgraceful as the black-is-white propaganda produced by Putin’s regime, and even more dangerous
As Russian troops and armored columns advance in Eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian government begs for aid from the free world it hoped would receive it and protect it as one of its own. The leaders of the free world, meanwhile, are struggling to find the right terminology to free themselves from the moral responsibility to provide that protection. Putin’s bloody invasion of a sovereign European nation is an incursion, much like Crimea — remember Crimea? — was an “uncontested arrival” instead of Anschluss. A civilian airliner was blown out of the sky just six weeks ago –—remember MH17? — and with more than 100 victims still unidentified the outrage has already dissipated into polite discussions about whether it should be investigated as a crime, a war crime, or neither. read more
If Vladimir Putin had any misgivings about the consequences of invading Ukraine and taking the Crimea, the Obama foreign policy team gave Putin every reason to launch his invasion by soft-peddling the Ukraine crisis and publicly attacking U.S. climate scientists instead.
Nations signal their foreign policy priorities and resolve by choosing issues on which to focus and issues on which to tread lightly. As the Ukraine crisis escalated throughout the month of February and Russian military forces predictably prepared to invade the nation, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry chose to launch a high-profile campaign of attacks against American climate scientists and essentially give the Kremlin a green light to invade Ukraine. read more
