You Must Comply…With Your Dentist

from Michelle Malkin at Townhall:

The Snitches in Your Kids’ Dental Office

How sharper than a serpent’s tooth to have a despotic pediatric dentist.

Parents who decide, for whatever reason, that they don’t like their children’s oral care provider should be forewarned. Empowered by government “mandatory reporter” laws, dental offices are now using their authority to threaten families with child abuse charges if they don’t comply with the cavity police.

Mom Trey Hoyumpa shared a letter last week on Facebook from a dental office called Smiles 4 Keeps in Bartonsville, Pennsylvania. It informed her that if she did not make a dental appointment for “regular professional cleanings” for her child, she could be charged with “dental neglect.”

Judge William Pryor

Yesterday, Townhall.com reported  that President-elect Donald Trump had just met with one of the 21 members of his well-publicized supreme Court selection list.

The man Trump chose to meet with this past Saturday is Judge William Pryor of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The 11th Circuit services the States of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Coincidently, Pryor served as deputy Attorney General of Alabama for two years under Jeff Sessions. After Sessions was elected to the Senate in 1997, Pryor was elevated to Alabama Attorney General. Small world isn’t it.

A few years later (2003) ‘W’ nominated him for the 11th Circuit, but the dems successfully stalled the pick. He was later recess-appointed by Bush and confirmed by a narrow margin. read more

Are We Out Of Bombs Or Not

And here I thought we were running out of bombs because Obama is a he-man and he is kicking ISIS’s butt. Isn’t that what the media is telling us? Why yes – yes it is.

From CNN:

As the U.S. ramps up its campaign against the Islamist terror group in Iraq and Syria, the Air Force is now “expending munitions faster than we can replenish them,” Air Force chief of staff Gen. Mark Welsh said in a statement.

But then there is this. So who is telling us the real story? Gee, I wonder.

If We Can Save Just One Vote

by: the Common Constitutionalist:

With the midterms less than a week away, we are being bombarded with campaign ads. The radio, TV, Internet – they’re everywhere.

We are also being deluged with stories of campaign fraud. Yesterday I wrote of Colorado’s new all mail balloting and the potential for massive fraud in that state.

But in fact the fraud doesn’t need to be widespread or massive for Democrat hacks to claim victory. The Wall Street Journal reported that, “In 2014, 16 local races in Ohio were decided by one vote or through breaking a tie. In 2013, 35 local races in Ohio were that close,” and the Obama rubberstamp, Al Franken, won his Senate seat by 312 votes.

Many local, state and even national races are often decided by 500 votes were less. Various types of Democrat fraud could more than tip the scales.

The Journal also reported that, “A Mississippi grand jury indicted seven individuals for voter fraud in the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral contest, which featured voting by ineligible felons and impersonation fraud. A woman in Polk County Tennessee was indicted on a charge of vote buying – a practice that the local district attorney said had too long ‘been accepted as part of life’ there.” read more

Impeachment Isn’t Just the Right Thing – It’s the Only Thing

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Rush Limbaugh has this list he calls, the “35 Undeniable Truths of Life”. One of these truths that isn’t on the list, but should be, is that to the Left, everything is political.

After all, not a week goes by that he (Rush) doesn’t remind us of this. And good for him – because he’s right. It’s absolutely true.

Everything the left does or says is to gain some political advantage over the Republicans, or frankly, over the American people.

My only problem with Rush’s statement is that it’s only half true. Rarely does he equate the Republicans with this statement – as the establishment wing of the party certainly also feels this way.

The only difference might be that the Dems attempt to gain advantage on every issue whereas the establishment thinks only in terms of an advance for the next election. It’s micro vs. macro.

For the Democrats, it’s always the next cause – the Republicans – the next election. That’s the only difference. The sameness of both is to put party above all else – namely the country and what they swore an oath to uphold.

A shining example was a piece at Townhall.com, penned by Matt Towery entitled, “Why Republicans Should Avoid the Temptation to Impeach“.

He begins by extolling the virtues of born-again progressive, Newt Gingrich, writing: “Other than Ronald Reagan, no Republican elected official has had a more positive impact on actual public policy of a real conservative nature in my lifetime than former House Speaker Newt Gingrich”. read more

Victory or Purity for the GOP

by: the Common Constitutionalist

By now, most everyone, at least geeks like us, have heard what Haley Barbour said last week in New Orleans at the Republican Leadership Conference.

For those in need of a reminder, here are a few highlights (or low lights), as reported by the Washington Times: “Being the purest, most conservative loser does not allow America to improve one iota,” Mr. Barbour said. “We have to be careful to remember in the mathematics winning is about addition and multiplication. Losing is about division and subtraction. Our party has lost ground in the last few years that we need to get back.”

He cited the loss of Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, where she lost in the general election after defeating the establishment RINO, Mike Castle in the primary.

“We defeated a guy who was going to get 60 percent of the vote, and we gave that seat to a left wing Democrat who doesn’t vote right five percent of the time,” Mr. Barbour said. “We have done that more than once in recent times.”

He then added the money quote, “Purity is the enemy of victory… Victory stems from unity”.

Well Mr. Barbour, as an undesignated, self-appointed representative of constitutional conservatism, I can tell you that you and the rest of your Karl Rove establishment cronies are full of crap. read more
