WND Exclusive – Leftist Cannibals Eat Their Own Over Warming

Note: On its 20th anniversary this week, I’d like to thank WND for being a platform for the reasonable in a sea of the irrational and to thank its editors for allowing me a voice.

I grew up being taught, and have subsequently tried to instill in my kids, that you don’t take pleasure in the misery of others – that it is just not charitable.

While this is a great sentiment, and I think we all (well, most all) try to live by this basic rule, occasionally it belies our baser human instincts. Sometimes you just can’t help but crack a smile or feel a warped sense of satisfaction when someone “gets their comeuppance,” as it were.

Regardless of your feelings regarding President Trump, if you are conservative, you, like me, felt elated that Hillary Clinton not only lost, but did so in humiliating fashion. We should merely be satisfied that she lost and not revel in her anguish. But I did, and admit it – you did also.

I know it’s wrong, but there is little we conservatives enjoy more than witnessing the crack-up of leftists. And even more satisfying is when they turn on there own, which seems to be happening more and more. read more

Trump Meets With Possible Supreme Court Pick – The Left Hates Him

Judge William Pryor

Yesterday, Townhall.com reported  that President-elect Donald Trump had just met with one of the 21 members of his well-publicized supreme Court selection list.

The man Trump chose to meet with this past Saturday is Judge William Pryor of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The 11th Circuit services the States of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Coincidently, Pryor served as deputy Attorney General of Alabama for two years under Jeff Sessions. After Sessions was elected to the Senate in 1997, Pryor was elevated to Alabama Attorney General. Small world isn’t it.

A few years later (2003) ‘W’ nominated him for the 11th Circuit, but the dems successfully stalled the pick. He was later recess-appointed by Bush and confirmed by a narrow margin. read more

My WND Weekly Exclusive

DO REPUBLICANS WANT TO CRIPPLE GOVERNMENT?

Do we really want a “nimble” federal government? Or do we want one that is slow, plodding and methodical. I suppose it depends on whom you ask.

Anyone (hopefully) on the right, and who is a friend to the Constitution, would surely say they would vastly prefer a government that operates much as does an aircraft carrier. Although much of these things are classified to some extent, it can take, for example, up to five nautical miles just to stop a carrier – much less to reverse course. In other words – far from nimble – which is exactly what the founders intended to slow the intrusive creep of government. read more

The Left Accuses Republicans of trying to Rig the Court

I’ve stated before that if we wish to witness where the left really wants to take us – don’t read the Washington Post, the New York Times or even watch CNN. No – to get the true pulse of the left, we must look at off-the-wall leftist sites like ThinkProgress.

ThinkProgress makes no effort to soft sell its Marxist ideology – no veiled attempt at fairness. Every article written and all commentary is unvarnished progressivism. These are the views of all leftist statists, if they dared to be honest. But they cannot, for if they were to be, they would never win another election.

A couple of days ago, Ian Millhiser, the “Justice Editor” at ThinkProgress, penned a piece entitled, “We may be living in the final days of the Supreme Court of the United States – Constitution, meet crisis.”

Without even reading, we should be able to surmise that Mr. Millhiser is going to whine about the lack of a ninth supreme Court justice – that it is a crisis – that it’s just not fair, and that the republican Senate is shirking its Constitutionally mandated responsibility. read more

Washington State’s New Wealth Distribution Tax

by: the Common Constitutionalist

There is a ballot initiative coming up for vote this November. It’s the only one of its kind in the entire country – but hey – things must begin somewhere. I suppose it’s possible that other states are taking a wait-and-see approach – to allow Washington to be the guinea pig before jumping on the bandwagon.

Like all Western States, Washington has suffered with drought and wildfires for quite sometime now. Evidently the only thing that can put a halt to these environmental catastrophes in a Carbon Tax. Yes –a carbon tax.

According to ThinkProgress, the people of Washington State “will have the rare chance to vote on whether the state should tackle climate change by going after the root cause: rampant atmospheric pollution of greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide.”

Ballot initiative 732 is directly modeled after what the article calls the “successful and widely popular carbon tax in British Columbia (BC).” read more

The Feds to Regulate Homeless Shelters

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Earlier this week ThinkProgress gleefully announced  some really great news as they reported on yet another usurpation of the Constitution by the Obama administration. This time it’s Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD – which constitutionally shouldn’t exist) turn to impose illegal regulations.

Their target is homeless shelters. Yes – homeless shelters – many of which are not even run by state or local governments, but by religious charities.

It seems homeless shelters all across these United States are discriminating against a certain group of people. I wonder if you can guess which group? I’ll give you a hint – even two.

Hints: It’s all the rage today and Bruce Jenner. You are correct. ThinkProgress is reporting that our federal government wants to protect “transgender individuals from discrimination by homeless shelters. The thought of ensuring that transgender people can find shelter if they need it has enraged many conservatives.”

Has it really? We evil conservatives are angry over homeless transgenders and wish to bar their entrance to homeless shelters. Really? read more

What Happened to Republican Tom Coburn?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I never knew much about former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn. The few things I had read in years gone by led me to believe that the Republican was kind of a middle-of-the-road guy. Not conservative, but not full on establishment. This is no longer my position.

ThinkProgress , as we know, is about as far left as one can get without falling off the edge of the earth. I usually glance at their site just to see what the extremist extreme left is up to, but then I saw this title: “Former GOP Senator Trashes Party Presidential Field: ‘Scares Me to Death,’ ‘Not Ready for Prime Time.’”

Okay, that intrigued me enough to read on, only to find that the GOP Senator is the aforementioned Coburn.

Now, back in 2011, the New York Times wrote that “Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma was a Tea Partier long before the movement even had a name, the family physician who came to Washington to hammer on Democrats and Republicans alike. His years of bill blocking earned him the nickname Dr. No.”

Now fast-forward to 2015 and MSNBC quoting Coburn as saying: “I think Hillary’s experience would make her a very effective president, I think, if she were to win. First of all, she’s been on the inside of politics for a long time, so she knows the inside game inside and out. She also knows the relationship game. Her husband was great at it.” read more

Podcast – Feminization of the Military – Everything Causes Cancer & What’s Bugging the Radical Left

On this episode I discuss what the American Spectator claims is the Caitlynization, or feminization of our military. Oh look, now it’s yummy fried foods like potato chips that cause cancer. Hide your children! And ThinkProgress doesn’t love Mitch McConnell over his comments about confirming, or not confirming Obama judges. read more

Black Lives Don’t Matter – But White Women Do

by: the Common Constitutionalist

These days it’s hard to count on anything or anyone to be consistent, so when I look for such a constant, I turned to ThinkProgress – yes ThinkProgress.

I turn to ThinkProgress to be consistently wrong on every issue. Their latest post is no exception, as they gleefully report on some establishment Republican women whining about a House bill to limit abortions.

Ellmers

Rep. Renee Ellmers

Tara Culp-Ressler writes: “The GOP controlled House will vote on a proposed 20 week abortion ban next Thursday – the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court case that legalized abortion throughout the United States. The legislation has passed the House for the past two years and was expected to have broad support in the 114th Congress, particularly as Republicans have set their sights on later abortions as an area where they believe they can advance their agenda.”

Oh look – another leftist woman with a hyphenated name. Shocker!

Ressler reports that “a group of GOP women led by Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) have started pushing back against the legislation, expressing concerns during a closed-door meeting of House Republicans. Ellmers reportedly said she is worried that even voting on the 20 week ban will alienate young female voters, urging her colleagues ‘to be smart about how were moving forward’.” read more

Podcast – Scott Walker – Think Progress – The Cuban Embassy

Today I discuss the possible presidential candidacy of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker vs his state legislature’s desire to pass right-to-work – Four things Think Progress touts as Obama victories, despite predictions to the contrary – and did you know we already have an Embassy in Cuba? read more
