Roberts Rules Against the First Amendment

 If you are an American, you should be very worried about the latest decision – this latest precedent, decreed by the nine person oligarchy that currently rules our nation.
Whether you’re religious or not, this had better chill you to the bone.
And it proves, without a shadow of a doubt, what we “paranoid” conservatives have been trumpeting for years. That our country has indeed passed into a post-constitutional period in our history. Like everything else, that document, the Constitution, now serves but one purpose – that of a political tool, to twist and spin and wield against your enemies.

The First Amendment could not be any more clear regarding religious liberty. read more

On Easter Sunday my wife and I took a long and probably illegal drive through rural Virginia, where we saw many people practicing a pious form of social distancing.

Christians. Pastors in parking lots and fields, preaching through bullhorns and over loudspeakers to their parishioners seated in parked cars. We drove past about five of these churches, all of which were on the verge of committing a series of misdemeanors. For, while drive-in services do not violate Gov. Ralph Northam’s stay-at-home order, if anyone were to get out of his or her car — that’s an illegal gathering. read more

The Church Militant

The refrain that is heard from the right when they refer to liberal actors is “Shut up and Act.” The same goes for leftist musicians: “Shut up and Sing.” Don’t involve yourselves in matters you know little to nothing about. Leave the politics to politicians, and leave armed conflicts to the military.

Because one is popular, famous and has a large following doesn’t automatically make an actor or musician an authority on matters political or military. Save for a very few, history is not on their side. Not many have gone on to become great political or military leaders. read more

The Right to Be Muslim Free

Recently MailOnline posted an article regarding a gun range owner in Arkansas. The posting wasn’t about a spotless safety record. It didn’t regard the owner’s advocacy for gun rights or the second amendment. They didn’t write about a successful woman owned small business. No, it wasn’t a feel-good story.

Evidently Ms. Jan Morgan, the owner of Gun Cave Indoor Shooting Range in Hot Springs, has declared her establishment “Muslim Free”.

Well, hearing this, CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, sprang into action. Did they protest her establishment? Did they contact Ms. Morgan to meet with her and try to belay her “irrational” fear? No, of course not.

They did what all radical organizations do in America. They whined to the federal government on the grounds of racial and religious discrimination.

CAIR, the well-known, at least to us, front group of the Muslim Brotherhood with ties to Hamas, asked the “Social” Justice Department, Civil Rights Division, to investigate Ms. Morgan.

As an aside, can we all just stop with the “racist” claims against Muslims? Muslim isn’t a race. There are Muslims of practically every race on earth. Drives me nuts! read more
