The left loves to trumpet the Nordic countries as socialist success stories. But as Dane, Otto Brons-Petersen explains, they couldn’t be more wrong. In some ways Denmark is less socialist than is the United States. I like to call the Nordics, cuddly capitalist countries. They’re private sector is free market capitalism, but they pay very high taxes to maintain the socialist type safety nets.

But Petersen explains that as we in the U.S. march further toward socialism, Denmark is fast rejecting it, returning things like social security to the private sector.

You Can’t Agree to Disagree with a Leftist

We’ve all the term, when at an impasse during a discussion, one turns to another and says: “Well then , I guess we must respectfully agree to disagree.” This respectful disagreement can happen when the people involved are both reasonable and have shared goals.

The 3/5ths Clause Properly Explained

It seems whenever the Founding Fathers are discussed, that discussion invariable degrades into one of race and racism. Why should we look to old dead white guys for guidance? Heck, even the Constitution as originally written was racist. And those who make these claims point to the 3/5ths clause pertaining to the counting of slaves.

But the Clause in Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution is misunderstood by almost all today. Professor Carol Swain explains that the three-fifths clause was inserted by anti-slavery advocates to advantage the abolitionists.
