Podcast – Man Killed as a Result of a Hoax Phone Call

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

An author of a recent RedState article wrote how he was a victim of a SWATing incident. SWATing is a heinous act where some delinquent anonymously calls the police to report a murder, or kidnapping, or the like at a home. They often claim to be a demented shooter. The police rush to house expecting to find an armed thug and dead victims.

What they find is an unsuspecting, innocent homeowner and his family, safe and sound. It is quite often very disruptive and shameful for the family and now it has gotten an innocent man killed. read more

San Francisco P.D. has a Sense of Humor – the Left Does Not

Here is yet another example of the left and their complete lack of a sense of humor. The San Francisco police posted a photo in their newsletter asking: “Maybe it’s time we all just sit back and tone down the rhetoric.” The photo is of a couple of … well, just watch the short video below.

After watching, you’ll agree that the left is simply unable to laugh at anything anymore – except for any misfortune which may befall anyone on the right.

Country Music Stars Should Know Better than to Dis the Police

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Country stars have always espoused hard work, the military, the flag, traditional American values and certainly a reverence for our police officers.

Big names like Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have even poked fun at liberals and democrats on the national stage.

In 2013 on the nationally televised Country Music Awards, you may recall the two, who hosted the event, even sung a duet called “Obamacare by Morning,” where they lampooned how pathetic Obamacare was and even worse was the Obamacare website which, as you recall, was nearly impossible to log onto and navigate.

Country music stars have always been music and Hollywood outliers – or one could say even outcasts – much more conservative than their pop, rock and R & B counterparts. After all, musicians are supposed to be angst-ridden leftists – but not in the world of country music.

Then came the Dixie Chicks, who, while on tour in the U.K. and on top of the country charts and the world, effectively ended their careers with a single comment. Lead singer, Natalie Maines, learning of George Bush’s decision to invade Iraq said: “Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.” read more

‘Kids with guns’ — 2 incidents end differently

Two brothers were playing together in a park outside Cleveland when the police rolled up. It seems someone living nearby thought the two were acting a bit odd and called 911.

It was like déjà-vu all over again. The two brothers, ages 12 and 15, were playing near a park pavilion – they were black and had weapons. Does this sound familiar at all?

Does it not sound like virtually the same scene set up in the Tamir Rice shooting? In 2014 (hard to believe it’s been two years), the scene was virtually identical: a park in Cleveland, young black kid, playing near a pavilion, toy pistol. The only thing different was the outcome. read more

Was it Police Abuse or an Unruly Criminal?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

On the coast of North Carolina there are many wonderful beaches and islands to explore. Most of them are fairly serene where families go to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Islands like Ocean Isle, Holden Beach, Oak Island and Caswell Beach separated from the mainland by the famous Intracoastal Waterway. I can personally attest to the beauty of this area and understand why families go back year after year.

Across the Cape Fear River (yes, that Cape Fear from the movie) from Fort Caswell on the end of a peninsula is Bald Head Island. Bald Head is a resort and nature preserve. Being a relatively small and quiet area, the village has all but given up cars, opting instead for golf carts as the main mode of transportation.

The Mall family, like many others, has been vacationing on Bald Head for years and until last summer had never heard of or witnessed an incident on the Island. But last summer that all changed.

The family was in their cart driving back to their cottage one evening when their 11 year old son asked if he could drive the cart the last two blocks. Being that it was a golf cart and there were no other carts on the road/path, according to the mother Julie Mall, she and her husband said okay. read more

Man Has Legal Gun Seized

Am I the only one that sees a problem with the premise of the following event? How in the world are states and municipalities allowed to usurp the United States Constitution? The Second Amendment is quite clear about the right to keep and bear arms, yet we allow states to water down that right, with permits and licenses. Have a state try that with freedom of the press and watch what happens.

from TheBlaze:

An Ohio man will finally get his legally-owned pistol back nine months after police confiscated it following his controversial arrest in February. He was never convicted of any crimes and his arrest occurred after he called police to report a potential crime in progress.

The city of Cleveland reportedly agreed this week to settle the federal lawsuit filed by Derrick Washington over what he says was the illegal seizure of his .38-caliber handgun. Police had refused to return his gun even after a city prosecutor refused to press charges due to a lack of evidence. read more

You’ve Won A Bomb

They’re the bane of everyone’s life. But beware the fate of one Colorado man who encountered perhaps the world’s worst telemarketer – when he phoned and threatened to blow up his house.

The unnamed man got the menacing call on Thursday evening at his home in the city of Greeley, in Weld County.

At first the caller told him he had won some money, to which he responded that he wasn’t interested and hung up the phone.

Extreme reaction: After the man hung up the telemarketer phoned him back and threatened to blow up his house

He thought that would be the end of it but the salesman called back almost immediately, this time turning nasty.

‘I’ve placed a bomb in your house,’ he told the man through a thick accent, leading him to believe the call might be coming from abroad.

The man hung up once more and made a call of his own, to the police, telling the operator about the alarming threat.

Police arrived and evacuated surrounding houses while they searched the man’s home for signs of explosives, taking them to a nearby fire station and town hall.

Officers scoured the property but found nothing, determining that the call had been a hoax.

Sgt Tim Schwartz of the Weld County Sheriff’s Office said they are trying to track down the mystery caller, adding that the bizarre threat was ‘completely out of the ordinary’.

The man was at his home in Greeley, Colorado, when he got the call‘I don’t know how to explain it,’ he said. ‘They’re just pretty pushy I guess.’

As evacuated residents returned to their homes one, Elaine Stanchfield, told the Denver Channel: ‘It was like Oh my God! A bomb threat.’

She said people are sick of getting harassed by persistent phone calls but that she couldn’t believe what had happened.

‘I personally think that telemarketers are a big pain because they constantly call you even when you ask them not to,’ she said.

‘But to go to those lengths to actually threaten someone is just ridiculous.’
Deputies fear it may be next to impossible to track down the telemarketer but if they do they will issue an arrest warrant.

If it turns out the call came from outside the U.S the FBI will be alerted.

Bring Back the Flip Phone

A Pennsylvania man accidentally called 911 in the midst of a drug deal, allowing dispatchers to listen in on the entire transaction and send police to arrest him.

Officers arrived to find Justin Kryzanowski, 24, with pockets full of drugs, syringes and paraphernalia — as well as the phone, the line still open to 911.

The phone call recorded everything, police say, including Kryzanowski’s own arrest at his home in Scranton.

Drug deal‘Good stuff on there,’ David Hahn, the Emergency Services Director in Lakawana County said. ‘I mean, these guys aren’t brain surgeons, if you know what I mean.’

‘You can even hear the police knocking at the door.’

The Scranton Times-Tribune reports that dispatchers tracked the phone call to a car near Kryzanowski’s home, where he was making a drug deal with a man called Rick.

‘Rick’ wasn’t in the car when officers arrived, but they found Kryzanowski with several syringes full of Suboxone, a medication used to treat narcotics addiction, according to a police report.

He was also carrying a pair of brass knuckles, police say.

Pill bottles littered Kryzanowski’s apartment, as well.

He is charged with is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited offensive weapons.

Kryzanowski told officers he took the drugs that ‘Rick’ gave him when they were in the car together.

The cell phone in his pocket matched the phone number that had dialed 911.

Just Another Peaceful Gathering

From Common Constitutionalst contributing writer, Beverly Smith:

Why does the left always resort to violence, vandalism and mayhem?

On Saturday, in Oakland, the peace loving occupy wall streeters took to the streets and city hall, reeking havoc for the police, citizenry and government officials.

Naturally the taxpayers will, once again, be stuck with the cleanup bill.

They burned flags, smashed glass and scrawled graffiti. Why? No one ever asks why. What’s the point they are trying to make with the violence?

Didn’t they tell the world, when the movement began last summer, their protests would be peaceful? I swear I read that somewhere, way back when.

The mayor of Oakland, Jean Quon, is now at her wits end. She has called for an end to the violence saying, “Stop using Oakland as it’s [OWS] playground.”

Can you imagine if kids acted like this at a real playground?

That’s a marked change from her unwavering support of the movement in October(2011).

At the protests inception Quon said, “We support the goals of the Occupy Wall Street movement: We have high levels of unemployment and we have high levels of foreclosure that makes Oakland part of the 99% too. We are a progressive city and tolerant of many opinions. We may not always agree, but we all have a right to be heard”.

Tolerant of many opinions, eh. I wonder what opinions they wouldn’t tolerate? That was a rhetorical question.

Now that the OWS crowd has predictably turned violent, Quon says, “People in the community and in the occupy movement have to stop making excuses for this behavior.”

So also must all government officials everywhere, as well as the media.

The OWSers actually had the nerve to criticize the behavior of the police! Isn’t that rich?

Of course, what we do hear is dead silence. Nothing from our fearless leader Obama, Pelosi (her home state), Eric Holder, etc. Where’s governor Moonbeam, Jerry Brown?
Mayor Quon is left dangling in the wind and the more deafening the silence becomes, the more emboldened the protesters become.

Chaos is just what the left truly wants. Let the violence escalate, suspend habeas corpus, declare martial law and Obama becomes dictator.

Maybe I just answered my own question. After all, some of the originators of this movement are confidants of “The One”.
