The following are excerpts from a MoveOn.org email I recently received. Yes, I receive MoveOn email alerts. It’s handy to get the pulse of the radical left.

Dear MoveOn member,

My name is Cyntoia Brown-Long. You may have heard my name on TV, social media, or if you’re one of the over 636,000 MoveOn members who signed a petition calling for my release from prison. But I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you my story myself and to say thank you.

I am a survivor of child sex trafficking. In 2004, at age 16, I was sentenced to a lifetime in prison for shooting one of my abusers in self-defense.

According to Wikipedia, “Brown said that Allen had paid her $150 to have sex with him, and that she feared for her life during their encounter, leading her to shoot him. Prosecutors argued that Brown killed Allen in order to rob him. Brown was found guilty and sentenced to 51 years to life. After renewed interest in her case in 2017, Governor Bill Haslam of Tennessee commuted her original sentence to 15 years.”

She was released from prison in August, 2019. read more

MoveOn Protests to Demand Release of Unredacted Grand Jury Data

If you wish to know what the radical left is really up to, there’s no need to wonder. All one has to do is sign up for the MoveOn.org news-feed to be sent to the email address of your choosing.

For example, yesterday came an email alert of utmost importance. Of course every “alert” MoveOn sends is of the utmost importance.

In part it read:

“Dear MoveOn member,

Last night, Donald Trump’s hand-picked attorney general, William Barr, missed the deadline set by Congress to release the full Mueller report.

That’s why tomorrow, Thursday, April 4—at nearly 300 events around the country—the Nobody Is Above the Law coalition is joining together to demand that Barr immediately release the full report and supporting evidence.”

WND Exclusive – WHAT PASSES FOR GENIUS AT MOVEON.ORG

It’s hard to tell whether the left is confident or concerned regarding the upcoming midterm elections – but I suppose we can say the same of the right.

For example, my man Sen. Ted Cruz is running for re-election in Texas against Democratic challenger and monumental phony “Beto” O’Rourke. Any reasonable person would think that Cruz will wipe the floor with this guy and beat him by double digits.

And that may happen, but one would never know by the email alerts sent from Cruz’s campaign. The alerts paint a picture of desperation – as if he is down by double digits.

Speaking of email alerts – nice segue, eh – I also receive alerts from the far-left radicals MoveOn.org. I think it’s good to keep a finger on the pulse of Marxists – to really know what they consider important without the media filter.

I’m not sure what to make of this last alert. It’s the first time I’ve seen anything like this from MoveOn. They are always asking for money to push one leftist cause or another, but that’s all they do: beg for money.

Yet this time they’ve stepped up their game by offering a MoveOn spatula. Yes, a spatula: read more

A Jihadist Storm May Be Blowing Our Way

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Surprise, surprise. MoveOn.org has begun another campaign that could potentially damage our country. Pretty much everything they do is damaging in one way or another, but this damage could have disastrous consequences.

In a blast email I received, they begin with the following:

“Here’s the situation: Millions of families have fled terrorism and their government’s bombs, only to face the impossible choice between trying to survive the winter in tents in refugee camps, or making the often lethal trip to Europe. At present, the United States only plans to welcome 10,000 Syrian refugees next year.”

So what do they want of the useful idiots who believe in the MoveOn movement? Well, as usual, they want money. But they also want the useful idiots to contact their Senators and ask (more like demand – we know the left never asks for anything) that they co-sponsor Bill 2145, “the Middle East Refugee Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act.”

The Act would provide an extra $1 billion in emergency money to “allow funding for the resettlement of up to 100,000 refugees over two years.”  read more

Witness the Left Turning on Their Own

by: the Common Constitutionalist

For years the political class, both democrat and republican have been steadily shifting to the left. The democrat party has moved so far left, it has virtually run out of room, and the establishment republicans have shifted left to fill the big government progressive void that remained after the dems democratrepublicanshift.

We can all see this shift to the left in the Republican Party, beholding to their big money, pay to play donors, and others who think a big bloated federal government is okay, so long as they run it.

It has always been us conservatives who complained about our party not doing our bidding, so to speak – that the GOP was the fractured party. Many would gripe about a lack of republican unity. Why can’t we unite like the democrats?

Well, it seems the days of democrat unity may be coming to a close. It appears we may have entered the era of the loony left. An era when merely being a liberal isn’t left enough. read more

The Left Rewrites History Again

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Obama and the left have a habit of distorting and rewriting history to bend to their warped views of how the world should look and how history should have been recorded.

I’m starting to wonder if maybe they are that deluded, that like Dorothy, clicking her ruby slippers together, if you wish hard enough for something to be so – if you want badly enough for it to be – you may then record that fantasy as factual history.

“Auntie Em, Auntie Em.” “Oh little Barack – it’s okay now – we’re all here.” “But Auntie Em – I had the most horrible nightmare. Reverend Wright – you were there, and you Mr. Ayers. Frank Marshall Davis was there.” “Here I am son. No need to fret.” “And Mr. Alinsky…” “Don’t worry son. You’re awake now. The Constitution was just a bad dream.”

Yeah, it’s like that. Or maybe it’s like the wife of a deceased union leader and activist completely turning history on its head to fit the current narrative. read more

The She Woman Man Haters Club

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I was not aware that there are different types of voters. All this time I thought there was just one. In one respect, I guess I’m correct. If you’re a Republican, or certainly a conservative, there is only one. However, Democrats, you see, have more options.

A Democrat can be a standard off-the-rack voter. Or he or she may be an illegal alien voter. A Democrat can be a multiple voter, casting several ballots – he or she can be a multistate voter or a multiple mail-in voter. The options seem endless. It’s a great time to be a sleazy Democrat.

But now, according to MoveOn.org, Democrats can be “Supervoters”! (no link – it was a email blast)

Unfortunately this moniker is only reserved for women.

Isn’t that sexist, you may ask? Of course not. Don’t be silly. Sexism, like racism is a one-way street. Just as “minorities” can’t be racist, women can’t be sexist. Come on conservatives – try to keep up.

Anyway, Anna Galland, the head harpy at MoveOn.org says that, “Women across the country do amazing and powerful things every day, but we have a special superpower right now: Our votes.”

She asks rhetorically: “Why are we so powerful now? Why are we Supervoters?”

She then explains that everyone wants them (trust me Anna – no one wants you). Both Republicans and Democrats are trying to lock up the female vote – because, you know – the female vote is so much different than the male. She says that Senate candidates in particular are trying to “woo” women.

Galland cheerfully exclaims: “Lucky for us, women tend to be more progressive than men.” Yes, it’s those evil Republican men that have made it so difficult for women all these years.

And just what have the Republicans done? Well Anna ticks off a whole laundry list of complaints. Oh, I’m sorry. Was that sexist to mention women and laundry in the same sentence? More than likely.

Evidently, Republicans have slashed education funding, closed abortion clinics and given control of contraceptives to the women’s employers. Wow – Republicans sure must hate women.

Galland claims that, “We understand that putting some of these guys in power is like giving our most misogynist, anti-choice, creepy uncle a leading role in deciding how we and our families should live our lives. No thanks!”

I wonder if she hates all males or just Republican men? My guess is that she is fine with the sniveling metrosexual weenie liberal men who say “how high” when she says “jump”.

She continues with a litany of liberal issues that will somehow all be in jeopardy if Republicans take the Senate. Issues like abortion and contraception, of course – illegal immigration – education funding and social services.

According to Galland, these are the only issues women care about. Evidently they don’t care about jobs. Women are apathetic over the pitiful economy – the deficit and debt. Apparently they don’t care about staggeringly higher Obamacare premiums or reduced medical coverage. I guess they don’t care about Ebola or terrorism. They apparently don’t mind that the price of everything is going up, save for a temporary reprieve of the price of gas.

These “Supervoters” are not supposed to be concerned that their own children are falling ill to a strange respiratory disease sweeping the nation, that just happens to coincide with the massive influx of illegals. I guess as long as they have their condoms and abortion on demand, the whole world can melt down around them.

If I were a woman, I would be insulted by someone or organization who thinks I’m just that stupid. This post is an insult to all intelligent women, but of course, that’s not who she’s appealing to, is it.

Good Economy, Bad Economy – Which One Is It?

by: the Common Constitutionalist:

Over the weekend I received an e-mail alert from MoveOn.org. Yes, quite some time ago I signed up to receive “alerts” from them. I think it’s instructive to see what the enemy is up to – what they are thinking and what they feel is important. Plus, they are fun to read.

And yes, they are the enemy. Any person, group or Army that attempts to destroy our freedoms and dismantle the Constitution is the enemy – whether the means to that end is by bullets, court order, or “Executive Action”, the and will be the same, but I digress.

The alert was written by the Mussolini midget, Robert Reich, Bill Clinton’s Labor Secretary and a socialist. What does Reich want? What every leftist wants. Money and power – and lots of both. read more

Bloomberg Finances Another Anti-Gun Group

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Last week I received an e-mail from my good [email protected] regarding Michael Bloomberg’s latest attempt at confiscating all our guns.

The e-mail blast said that Bloomberg will be spending $50 million on gun reform. Now since I don’t know what “gun reform” is I read on, asking myself whether I believe my guns needed reforming?

It turns out that the e-mail blast was not focused on Bloomberg’s efforts, but one of the many wack job organizations that he will be funding with his $50 million.

The organization, and particularly its founder, that MoveOn.org was focused on is “Moms Demand Action for Guns Sense in America” and its founder Shannon Watts.

MoveOn describes Ms. Watts as a supermom, who evidently has time for her five children and also to fight the evils of “gun violence”. They describe her as a force of nature communicator and the NRA’s worst nightmare. Ooh – scary! read more

Democrat Voters Are Lazy and Stupid

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Why does MoveOn.org have such a low opinion of Democrat voters? It appears they think Democrat voters lack patience, are lazy and stupid.

You might say; those are pretty strong accusations. What proof do you have to back up such incendiary claims?

Just this. I receive alerts from time to time from our friends at the reasonable, middle-of-the-road group, MoveOn.org.

A few days ago I received one asking me to stop by Democrat Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter’s New Hampshire reelection campaign headquarters in Manchester to support their fight. What fight?

Well, the alert stated that MoveOn recently, “Launched a Defend the Vote Campaign”. That sounds nice. Who wouldn’t want to defend the vote? Naturally, being a voter, I too would like to defend my right to vote. So what do they feel the need to defend exactly? read more
