WND Exclusive – Reality Will Trump Perception as Paychecks Grow

On Nov. 29, the prognosticator website FiveThirtyEight announced that, “The GOP Tax Cuts Are Even

More Unpopular Than Past Tax Hikes.”

“Poll after poll shows that more voters than not are opposed to their efforts,” wrote the website. They claimed that only about a third of voters support the tax cut plan, and that, “the GOP bill is one of the least popular tax plans since Ronald Reagan’s day.”

Well, at least Trump and the Republicans are in good company. You may (or may not) recall the left’s visceral hatred of Reagan. His tax cut and economic plan was also to be the end of the world, but actually gave us the longest period of sustained growth during peacetime and the second-longest period of sustained growth in U.S. history.

Maybe FiveThirtyEight should instead do a little research on how often the Democrats are wrong about pretty much everything. read more

For Krugman – Up Is Down – Right Is Wrong

by: the Common Constitutionalist

This is the world, according to Paul Krugman, as he shares with us his genius in his latest New York Times column, “Triumph of the Wrong“.

Anyone who knows of Krugman can guess from the title and its proximity to the elections that he is referring to the Republican drubbing of the Democrats last Tuesday. Oh – and that he’s not fond of the result.

He begins his learned piece with this gem: “… of another Republican Party sweep, politics determines who has the power, not who has the truth. Still, it’s not often that a party that is so wrong about so much does as well as Republicans did on Tuesday.”

I actually agree with this statement, save for replacing the “Republicans” with “Obama and his policies”.

He continues by saying: “So now is a good time to remember just how wrong the new rulers of Congress have been about, well, everything.” read more

China Says – No He Can’t

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Obama will be making his first post election international trip next week. Reports are that his travels include a stop in China, Myanmar (Burma) and Australia. Apparently he is headed over to discuss policy between the United States and the Asia Pacific region.

He will be focusing on the world economy of which China will soon become the leader.

Okay, that’s nothing out of the ordinary – President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping – two of the world’s most powerful leaders getting together.

What is out of the ordinary is an editorial, just published in the Global Times. For those unfamiliar, the Global Times is the mouthpiece, or propaganda arm of the Communist Chinese government. In other words, nothing gets printed or released by the Times without the approval of Xi Jinping and his Politburo. read more

Jokes On Us – With a Republican Victory

Two days ago The Hill reported that Senator Jeff Session of Alabama said: “The Obama administration has announced that after the elections it would issue an executive order allowing nearly 5 million immigrants to remain in the United States on worker visas — many have U.S. children.”

“These orders, planned for after the election, would implement by executive fiat the sweeping amnesty that was rejected by the Republican House,” Sessions wrote. “If the president’s promised executive amnesty goes through, we will functionally have open borders in America. But the citizens of this country, through their vote, have the power to stop it.”

Sessions said if Republicans control the Senate next year, they would vote to stop Obama’s executive actions…

It was a pre-election plea to get out the vote for senate republican candidates.

As I explained in my article from yesterday, “No More Compromise for This Conservative”, I would no longer vote for a Mitch McConnell, establishment rubber stamp like Scott Brown, and I didn’t. If he wins, so be it. If he loses, my conscience is still clear. read more

No More Compromise for This Conservative

by: the Common Constitutionalist

For the first time I had to switch off the Rush Limbaugh radio show. I can’t recall ever having to do that, and I’ve been listening since George H.W. Bush was president. He was positively schizophrenic.

The topic was a Politico article regarding a potential Republican victory and the impact of the establishment Republicans on the party. The piece by Alexander Burns begins with him stating: “For the Republican Party’s leadership, taking control of the U.S. Senate might not even be the sweetest part of a victory in 2014.”

And what could be sweeter than that? What could be sweeter than ousting Harry Reid? Well, blowing up the conservatives in the party. He quoted GOP Senate Whip John Cornyn: “Where we ran into problems was that small sliver of the party insisted on nominating people who could win the primary but couldn’t win the general,” Cornyn said of the past two election cycles. Of the party’s successful 2014 course correction, Cornyn said: “I promise you it’s a lesson we will not forget.”

In other words, conservative Republicans need not apply. We don’t want you to run. What they do want is for us to just vote for these hacks, then sit down, shut up and let them govern. read more

Latino Ingrate or Shrewd El Politico

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Perusing the inter-web, I found an article that intrigued me. The man who wrote it, or the editor, or someone entitled it properly, causing me to click on it and read.

The article is, “Latinos Should Withhold Support From Democrats“, posted by Arturo Carmona at Real Clear Politics. Mr. Carmona is executive director of Presidente Action.

Well, it turns out, this post wasn’t “Real Clear” at all. I was going in expecting to read about “Latinos” seeing the light and voting conservative, or at least Republican, and although it kind of reads that way, I’ll guarantee that’s not his motivation.

Mr. Carmona is angry because Obama and the Democrats haven’t done enough for them, and by them, of course I mean the millions of criminal aliens.

Yes, Mr. Carmona claims that Obama has betrayed him and his lawbreaking “people”. He writes: “For months, president Obama promised that he – and the rest of the nation – were done with Republican obstructionism on immigration reform. On March 14, he indicated he would instruct Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson to produce recommendations for executive actions to bring relief to millions of immigrant families suffering in the shadows.”

Republican obstructionism? Really? So now, in 2014, current immigration law is considered obstructionism. And there are no recommendations to make. What Johnson suggests or suggested and whatever Obama does will be both illegal and anticonstitutional. But to Obama, it’s only illegal if you can stop them. read more

The She Woman Man Haters Club

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I was not aware that there are different types of voters. All this time I thought there was just one. In one respect, I guess I’m correct. If you’re a Republican, or certainly a conservative, there is only one. However, Democrats, you see, have more options.

A Democrat can be a standard off-the-rack voter. Or he or she may be an illegal alien voter. A Democrat can be a multiple voter, casting several ballots – he or she can be a multistate voter or a multiple mail-in voter. The options seem endless. It’s a great time to be a sleazy Democrat.

But now, according to MoveOn.org, Democrats can be “Supervoters”! (no link – it was a email blast)

Unfortunately this moniker is only reserved for women.

Isn’t that sexist, you may ask? Of course not. Don’t be silly. Sexism, like racism is a one-way street. Just as “minorities” can’t be racist, women can’t be sexist. Come on conservatives – try to keep up.

Anyway, Anna Galland, the head harpy at MoveOn.org says that, “Women across the country do amazing and powerful things every day, but we have a special superpower right now: Our votes.”

She asks rhetorically: “Why are we so powerful now? Why are we Supervoters?”

She then explains that everyone wants them (trust me Anna – no one wants you). Both Republicans and Democrats are trying to lock up the female vote – because, you know – the female vote is so much different than the male. She says that Senate candidates in particular are trying to “woo” women.

Galland cheerfully exclaims: “Lucky for us, women tend to be more progressive than men.” Yes, it’s those evil Republican men that have made it so difficult for women all these years.

And just what have the Republicans done? Well Anna ticks off a whole laundry list of complaints. Oh, I’m sorry. Was that sexist to mention women and laundry in the same sentence? More than likely.

Evidently, Republicans have slashed education funding, closed abortion clinics and given control of contraceptives to the women’s employers. Wow – Republicans sure must hate women.

Galland claims that, “We understand that putting some of these guys in power is like giving our most misogynist, anti-choice, creepy uncle a leading role in deciding how we and our families should live our lives. No thanks!”

I wonder if she hates all males or just Republican men? My guess is that she is fine with the sniveling metrosexual weenie liberal men who say “how high” when she says “jump”.

She continues with a litany of liberal issues that will somehow all be in jeopardy if Republicans take the Senate. Issues like abortion and contraception, of course – illegal immigration – education funding and social services.

According to Galland, these are the only issues women care about. Evidently they don’t care about jobs. Women are apathetic over the pitiful economy – the deficit and debt. Apparently they don’t care about staggeringly higher Obamacare premiums or reduced medical coverage. I guess they don’t care about Ebola or terrorism. They apparently don’t mind that the price of everything is going up, save for a temporary reprieve of the price of gas.

These “Supervoters” are not supposed to be concerned that their own children are falling ill to a strange respiratory disease sweeping the nation, that just happens to coincide with the massive influx of illegals. I guess as long as they have their condoms and abortion on demand, the whole world can melt down around them.

If I were a woman, I would be insulted by someone or organization who thinks I’m just that stupid. This post is an insult to all intelligent women, but of course, that’s not who she’s appealing to, is it.

Elections Will Be Stolen

from: IBD

Theft: As “calibration errors” switch votes in Illinois and Maryland, an election watchdog group sues the latter over massive voting by noncitizens in one county after discovering voters registered in multiple states.

The fact that many people will do anything to get out of jury duty has exposed massive fraudulent voting in Frederick County, Md., that may have been going on for years. Illegal aliens who stated they were noncitizens on jury duty forms were found to have cast votes in elections. read more

Colorado Vying for Election Fraud Champion

by: the Common Constitutionalist:

Evidently Colorado has been working hard to obtain the crown of biggest election cheaters in the nation. They have some stiff competition, but with Governor John Hickenlooper’s 2013 signing of a new election law, I’m sure they feel confident.

The 2013 law has effectively nullified Election Day in Colorado. All ballots are now mailed to voters far in advance. Of course one can’t just mail back the ballot. According to the Jefferson County election website, “You must seal your ballot in the official return envelope”, and then one can mail it in.

But is there another option if you choose not to mail in your ballot? Why yes… yes there is. You may drop off your ballot at any one of many 24-hour, undoubtedly unmanned drop-off sites.

Colorado Common Cause thinks this is a great idea, saying that, “Under the new law, every registered voter will receive a mail ballot and it will be their decision on how to cast their vote. Voters can mail back their ballot, drop it off, or vote at a voting service center during early voting or on Election Day.”

“The goal was to assure maximum access to the ballot and integrity in elections,” said Carol Tone of the Colorado League of (liberal) Women Voters. read more

Good News for Texas Voters

from: the American Thinker:

Thanks to the Supreme Court, the new Texas voter ID law was in effect when early voting began in the 2014 midterm. The court upheld the Fifth Circuit’s stay pending appeal of an October 11, 2014 District Court injunction barring implementation of the law’s voter ID provisions. The last-minute injunction was issued by Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos in an opinion whose content and timing make it smell suspiciously like the grievance industry’s race card.

[E]ven where specific discriminatory practices end, their effects persist. It takes time for those who have suffered discrimination to slowly assert their power.  Because of past discrimination and intimidation, there is a general pattern by African-Americans of not having the power to fully participate.
