Podcast – Liberal Media Shields Democrat Criminal – Should a President Receive a Pension – Venezuelan Protesters Throwing Poo Bombs

The New York Times must have been compelled to report on the conviction of one of their own, former U.S. Congresswoman Corrine Brown, but did their best to never mention that she is a Democrat. They can’t wait to announce when Republicans go up the river, but hid the fact that Brown was a liberal hack Dem.

It was decided long ago that a former President will receive a pension. If this is the case, it should not be tied to whether or not they choose to cash in after they leave office. It should not be political.

In Venezuela, protesters have taken to throwing anything they can when clashing with police. They’ve design a new weapon – called the poopootov cocktail.

Liberals May Take Advantage of a Tragic Gun Accident

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Most have heard the saying regarding terrorism. We have to be right 100% of the time, yet the terrorists need only be right once.

It means that we on the receiving end of terrorism must be 100% effective in stopping all attacks before they happen. However, the terrorists may only have to slip through our dragnet once to wreak havoc on civilized society. So far, they have been moderately successful. I say moderately, because we have had good success thwarting many would-be attackers.

But every time they do make it through, or we drop the ball, the results are tragic and headline grabbing. This same set of scenarios can easily be transferable to gun owners.

Gun owners must conduct themselves with safety first 100% of the time. I’m not talking about lunatics who shoot up movie theaters and churches. They are crazy people – not responsible gun owners.

The press still attempts to tie them to the rest of us law abiding owners, but even for them, it’s a bit of a stretch.

Liberal media and anti-gun politicians are in a constant search for otherwise normal law-abiding citizens to screw up, so they may point to a lack of gun control. read more

Iron Mike Ditka Pays the Price for Being Conservative

Sheeesh! This is second time this week I’ve written about Rush Limbaugh. It does have to do with politics, but thankfully it doesn’t concern the presidential election or the never-ending primary season. I know it’s of vital importance, but frankly the never ending daily doses of it are getting a bit old.

So let’s instead turn our attention to something sports related – sports as it relates to politics.

Some of you may remember that Rush Limbaugh did a short stint as a commentator on the sports network ESPN. If you don’t, that’s okay. It was after all 13 years ago. In 2000 Limbaugh was passed over for a seat on the ABC Monday Night Football crew. They instead went with Dennis Miller. That worked out well – NOT.

Three years later he was offered a position on ESPN’s flagship broadcast, “NFL Sunday Night Countdown,” joining Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Steve Young and Michael Irvin. I recall Rush telling his radio audience that they told him he could speak about anything – that there would be virtually no filter. And he believed them – silly guy. read more

Terrorist Attack – Now What – Now Nothing

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Paris is attacked – attacked by Islamic barbarians bent on revenge for mocking the prophet Mohammed. They felt as though they needed to defend the honor and name of the prophet.

As an aside, if Mohammed is supposed to be the father of Islam, the right hand of Allah, like some omniscient being – why does he need to be defended? Why would anyone or anything who is supposed to have a direct line to Allah have to be defended by mere mortals? Just asking.

paris rallyOkay, so radical Muslims go on the offensive. What is the response? Well after the French Special Forces did what they do – killed the terrorists – then what?

The city of Paris host a massive “unity rally in defiance of a terrorist spree that claimed 17 lives,” reports CNN.

And it was quite the impressive rally with many dignitaries in attendance. Leaders from France, Germany, Spain, Great Britain were in attendance, as well as Netanyahu of Israel, the Palestinian Authority’s Abbas and the King of Jordan, amongst others.

Now I don’t mean to sound harsh and non-appreciative of the large show of “unity” and “defiance” – but now what? So they have a rally. So what? Is that supposed to scare away the Islamic radicals? read more

Why Is The Press Fighting To Protect Wendy Davis?

Bias: Have you heard the one about the Texas gubernatorial candidate who created a fictional life story to sell herself to voters? Probably not, since the person in question is a darling of the liberal media.

Wendy Davis hit the national spotlight last year when she mounted an 11-hour filibuster against a bill to ban late-term abortions in Texas (that was ultimately signed into law).

The media swooned. The New York Times called her “a feminist folk hero,” a “titan in pink tennis shoes” and “a single mother who became a lawyer (and) stood up to the Republican boys’ club.” CNN gushed about Davis’ “history of persisting against tough odds.” Others called her “courageous,” “articulate,” “gutsy” and “inspiring.”

She was a rising star in the Democratic Party with a shot at claiming the governorship in a solid-red state.

Given Davis’ oft-repeated story, such praise may have seemed fitting. The bio on her state Senate website says she’s “been taking on tough fights her entire life.” read more
