Special Rights for Special Students

On their website, GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, states clearly that, ” Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people want equal rights, not special rights.”

Scottish Rite Dormitory

Oh really. Tell that to the majority of young women who live at the Scottish Rite Dormitory at the University of Texas-Austin Campus.

Thank Goodness for the British Muslim Community

I know it’s wrong to, but I am loving this. And I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the tortured decision was made by the ultra-progressives in the U.K. to end a program they celebrated. What am I referring to? Well, read on to find out – and enjoy as I did.

from the Federalist:

Feminists Couldn’t Get Trans Ideology Out Of UK Public Schools, But Muslims Did

In the United Kingdom, where the LGBT+ agenda is well entrenched in the school system, there have been protests from the Muslim population against these so-called teachings of tolerance. In Birmingham, a program called No Outsiders, organized by Andrew Moffatt, has been on the curriculum to teach students as young as five the ins and outs of same-sex families, inclusivity, and diversity.

Moffatt, who is deputy head teacher at Parkfield Community School, developed the program “to ensure future younger generations learn about acceptance and respect of others.” While that’s a rather non-offensive ethos, what sowed tensions in the community was the introduction of LGBT+ content in the program. read more

Try as They may – You Still Can’t Beat Chick-fil-A

from the College Fix:

Blocked from some schools, Chick-fil-A still thrives on campuses across the country

In spite of negative press and the efforts of several schools working to keep the popular restaurant off their campuses in recent years, Chick-fil-A remains a steady presence at hundreds of schools across the country.

Particularly since 2012, when the company’s president, Dan Cathy, voiced support for “the biblical definition of the family unit,” the school has come under fire from LGBT activists and other progressive groups. Last June, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was slammed for simply eating at Chick-fil-A. LGBT organizations have accused Chick-fil-A of donating money to “hate groups.” Last April, The New Yorker covered the restaurant’s expansion with an article titled “Chick-fil-A”s Creepy Infiltration of New York City,” with the author unfavorably noting the chain’s “pervasive Christian traditionalism.” read more

Boys Can’t be Boys and Girls Can’t be Girls at Harvard

Political correctness and gender neutrality have hit new lows and it’s no surprise that it is being achieved on a college campus.

The Harvard Crimson, the school’s official news site, is reporting that, “Harvard’s chapter of the Delta Gamma sorority is closing its doors — making it the first single-gender group to shut down in response to the College’s social group penalties.”

Yes, Harvard fraternities and sororities are being forced to go gender-neutral.

Other than the obvious, why the heck would any guy want to join a sorority? And certainly no girl would have any interest in joining a previously all-male fraternity. Unless of course she is a radical feminist whose interest is only tearing things down and fighting the scourge of toxic masculinity. Other than that, no self-respecting young woman would join. She would instead opt for a sorority, like has been done since sororities began in 1851. The first being the Adelphean Society at all-girl Wesleyan Female college.

Back then they were not called sororities. Adelphean was known as a secret society for women. Others were classified as women’s fraternities. The term sorority wasn’t adopted until 1882. read more

Teacher Gets the Ax over a Name

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

A school teacher has recently been fired because he refused to call students by the name they prefer rather than their given names.

No, it wasn’t a case of Robert wanting to be called Bob, or Juliet wanting to be called Julie. That would have been simple. But it seems life in the public school system never is these days, even in a State like Indiana, which isn’t exactly considered as a hot-bed of leftism.

Yet, now Former Brownsburg High School orchestra teacher John Kluge, is without employment because he believes it’s wrong to call transgendered students by their “preferred” names, rather than the name which was given them at birth.

Yes – this is the soul reason why Kluge is unemployed, and now probably black-balled as a hater from seeking employment at any public school. read more

What if someday, I decide I’m sick of the grind. I’m tried of working and earning a living. I just want to be taken care of. Heck, at this point I’m even too lazy to go to the welfare office and fill out all that paperwork in order to collect free stuff. I’m just done with all the responsibility of being a societal human.

May I then self identify as some sort of unique zoo animal? What animal? I don’t know – I’m questioning. But I will get a place to sleep, three squares a day, and my very own habitat to stretch my legs, should I desire. I mean – why the heck not? Of course this sounds completely ridiculous, or it would have maybe a decade or so ago. Now, I’m thinking it doesn’t sound that far-fetched.

After all, we humans are now able to run the gamut of self-identification. It started simply enough. We were male or female. But that was too simplistic. Then we expanded to heterosexual and homosexual. Still not good enough. If you are a homosexual female you’re not just homosexual, but lesbian. And because homosexual developed a negative connotation, it was changed to gay. I guess because homosexual men are also happy people. I don’t know.

Still, this did not define us all, so the acronym LGBT was coined. A person could comfortably identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. However, some in our society still felt left out – and we sure can’t have that. So the letter scramble continues, giving us the most inclusive acronym to date – LGBTTQQIP2SAA. read more

Our Religious Freedom Falls in the Lap of the Supreme Court

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The supreme Court is set to begin its next session in October. It has a full docket when it gavels in. Among them are a couple Labor Relations/Arbitration cases, a plethora of immigration/refugee cases, and one which has “not been set for argument” as of yet.

Case No. 16-111 is “Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.”

This case has become a familiar refrain to those who follow this nonsense – like me and all of you. It’s another case of religious freedom vs. the “rights” of homosexuals to demand a curtailment of religious freedom. I wonder what side the Colorado Civil Rights Commission falls on. Gee – I wonder.

In 2012, a happy homosexual couple, Charlie Craig and David Mullins, wished for Masterpiece Cakeshop to craft a wedding cake to commemorate the blessed event. “But Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, declined to make the cake for Mullins and Craig, saying that doing so would violate his religious beliefs. The couple then filed a complaint with Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission, arguing that Phillips’ actions violated the state’s Anti-Discrimination Act, which prohibits businesses from refusing service based on race, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation,” wrote MSNBC

David Mullins said in an interview that, “We’re not trying to shut down Masterpiece Cake Shop. We want Masterpiece Cake shop’s policy toward gays and weddings, gay weddings, to change.” read more

Is the Rainbow Flag’s Orange Stripe a Shout Out to Trump

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Scroll Down for Audio Version

A couple of days ago, The Blaze reported that the city of Philthadelphia “Office of LGBT affairs” has recently unfurled a new flag – the multi-colored rainbow LGBTQ+ flag. They just keep adding more letters – and now even a symbol. Talk about a run-on acronym.

So Philadelphia, which has a total debt of $14.3 billion, or $27,500 per taxpayer (the third highest per capita in the nation), has enough money to fund an Office of LGBT Affairs for what is claimed to be 3.9 percent of its population. And I doubt the percentage is that high.

Anyway, the Run-On Acronym Society (ROAS) claims the new and improved rainbow flag will “show their support for people of color [POC] who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender. We say that we’re inclusive. We celebrate it. Now it’s time to go further.”

The colors they added to show solidarity with the POC are of course brown and black. This may seem inclusive, but to me, this instead shows how racist the ROAS really is, that other-than-hetero POC don’t and can’t identify with the pretty colors that already adorn the flag. read more

Podcast – Taxman’s Coming for Your Gold Medal – NFL Tells Cowboys They Can’t Honor the Cops – Hillary’s Tax Return is a Sham

Who knew Gold medals were taxed. Well, we should have – everything else is. Yes – American athletes return triumphantly from Rio proudly adorned with the hardware they worked their whole lives to win – only to be greeted at the gate by the taxman.

Black Lives Matter strikes again – and this time without saying a word. The NFL has denied a request by the Dallas Cowboys to place a sticker on their helmets honoring the Dallas Police Department – and all cops. Somehow it would stir up controversy and make a political statement.

Hillary has released one year, 2015, of her and Bill’s tax returns and charitable giving – but just one year. I discuss what a set-up this is and what a shame the return actually is.

I also quickly touch on the DNC staffer who was recently murdered and the LGBT Olympics. read more

We Must Have a Homosexual in Every Movie – at Least One

By: the Common Constitutionalist

Thank heavens for progressive Hollywood. Otherwise how would we know what to think about our culture, particularly the newest chic cause célèbre du jour, which is the LGBT movement?

Actually, let me reconsider that statement. It doesn’t matter what we think. We will be told by our statist overlords what to think, how to feel, what to accept and what and when to celebrate whatever new human right of their choosing. This of course is always done for our own good.

So, sorry Black and Hispanic actors and actresses – you’ve been displaced. Sure you’re people of color and all, but beyond that, you’re as passé as the rest of us heteros. There’s not much more advantage Hollywood can extract from your oppression, so they are moving on to the new frontier (pardon the pun) of jamming the LGBT agenda down the publics’ throat.

Case in point is the latest big-budget installment of the new Star Trek series of movies. Even if you’re not a Star Trek fan of old, you probably know, or would at least recognize, the actor George Takei who played Hikaru Sulu in the original 1960s television show. Takei has made cameo appearances in numerous television shows – the most recent of note is The Big Bang Theory. read more
