The old saying used to be: “You are what you eat.” Now it’s, “You are what you serve – Chicken.”
Anyway you slice it, Chick-fil-A “chickened” out. Despite all the support we have given them, they just caved to the cancel culture, identity politics mob, which is a tiny fraction of actual people, compared to those have stood up and bravely supported Chick-fil-A for its courage.
Bisnow reported that Chick-fil-A will no longer be giving to Christian charities – those who don’t happen to tow the LGBT line. Oh the horror!
I’ve seen a few conservatives write that they have not in fact caved to the “shut-um-down” mob, but in my opinion they have, and it’s a damn shame, and completely unnecessary.
What has happened to the restaurant chain since the original dustup over Chick-fil-A president, S Truett Cathy’s pronouncement of his PERSONAL Christian view? Did the brand suffer? Not hardly. They went from a distant 7th largest fast food chain, passing over many heavy-hitters, to vault into third place, behind only behemoths, McDonalds and Starbucks. And that’s being open only six days out of the week. They’re closed on Sunday. What religious zealots – right?
