Lebron James Shouldn’t be Criticizing Anyone

Basketball icon and Hillary supporter Lebron James has waded into the political arena. He recently commented on Trump’s disturbing remarks in 2005, and the fact that Trump said it was “locker room talk.”

What is locker room talk to me? It’s not what that guy said,” the Cleveland Cavaliers forward told reporters. “We don’t disrespect women in no shape or fashion in our locker room. That never comes up.”

“I’ve got a mother-in-law, a wife, a mom and a daughter, and those conversations just don’t go on in our locker room,” James said Tuesday. “What goes on in our locker room is sporting events that happened the night before, about family, about strategies that we may have that night, about a highlight that may have happened, you know, if there was a home run in the bottom of the ninth or there was an alley-oop dunk from a player the night before. That’s what happens in our locker room.”

“But what that guy was saying,” James then added, “I don’t know what that is.”

Having spent years playing various sports – football, wrestling, hockey, lacrosse – as well as military facilities on land and aboard ship – not to mention the gym I currently attend – I can tell you for a fact that unless the Cleveland Cavaliers are sharing a locker room with a local Christian boys group – Lebron is full of crap. I hear things even today in the locker room of my gym, uttered by well-educated doctors, attorneys, engineers, etc. that would make a Marine blush. I have an acquaintance – a neurosurgeon, whose foul mouth would turn Lebron white. read more

What’s Bigger Than LeBron?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The news has made headlines all over the country and not just in the sports world. Basketball great LeBron James is going home – back to Cleveland, where it all began.

Yes, of course it’s the lead story on all 52 ESPN channels. That’s to be expected, but they’ve been discussing it nonstop on the NFL network, the network dedicated exclusively to football. No not fútbol… football. You know, the real man’s sport. Yeah, that’s a little dig at all you dopey FIFA fans.

Anyway, I even saw a segment about LeBron on the Golf Channel. Really? The Golf Channel?

So, I ask you – what’s bigger, more important, more newsworthy than LeBron? Evidently nothing.

The Twitterverse just exploded over the news. Tweets blasting out – columns hurriedly written in order to be the first to announce this earth shattering news.

No more attention has been paid than to this announcement.

Not the ever deepening V.A. scandal, where it’s been discovered that tens of millions of dollars in “merit” bonuses and overpayments were paid for clearing up the backlog by effectively killing off our heroes in desperate need of treatment. Everyone but the veterans benefited – down to lowly clerks and support staff.

But that’s not bigger than LeBron. read more
