Last week Guardian.com reported: “Controversial blogger and activist Pamela Geller has paid $100,000 to place advertisements on New York City buses and in subway stations that feature anti-Islamic messages and images including one of James Foley, the American journalist beheaded by ISIS in August… All the posters carry messages critical of Islam.”
Gee, it’s hard to say what side of the fence the Guardian comes down on, isn’t it.
But this is nothing new for Geller. She did the same thing in 2012 and many of the legally displayed posters were spray painted over, defaced or covered with stickers.
The 2012 posters caused quite a stir in leftist circles, as well as in the professional Islamist sympathizer community.
In 2012 the HuffPo wrote: “New York City’s resident Islamaphobe is back with yet another anti-Islamic subway ad. Pamela Geller’s latest features a photo of the World Trade Center exploding in flames next to a quote from the Koran that reads, ‘Soon we shall cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers’. When Geller last bought ad space in the New York City underground, New Yorkers didn’t react kindly. Nearly all the signs, which read, ‘In any war between civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad’, were vandalized.”
Again, I can’t really determine where the HuffPo stands after reading that middle-of-the-road report.
