No Smoking Gun in IG Report

The DOJ Investigator General’s report is finally out. Many conservatives have been breathlessly waiting its release, as if it would contain some sort of bombshell showing what a bunch of lying dirtbags the democrats are. Of course we already knew the latter.

But at least some of us have been warning that IG Michael Horowitz’s report, may not be all that. Yet, still many on the right treated its arrival with the same breathless anticipation as do the dems with every subsequent impeachment claim. “We got-um this time!”

Well, knowing that IG Horowitz may not be a total swamp-rat, he is a tad swampy, we should reasonable not have expected more. I mean, he was appointed to the IG post at Justice by Obama and had worked as assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

I’m not saying that it’s a 476 page giant nothing-burger, but conservatives and AG Bill Barr are already kind of calling it out.

After months of anticipation, the Department of Justice Inspector General’s office released its report on its investigation into the origin of the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign in 2016. read more

Is the FBI Still for Sale?

Is this still going on? We here blockbuster stories of corruption in our government. It’s reported on with a big splash and a major headline and then nothing. We don’t ever get reports of anyone being held to account – few get fired, and no one goes to prison.

Have we heard any follow up on whether our premier investigative service has been straightened out, or is the for sale sign still out.

This report is from 2018, yet for many, it may be the first we’ve heard.

Have we had an update since, or has it gone back to business as usual, regardless of who is in the Whitehouse.

James Comey Misled the President

from RealClear Investigations:

Justice Dept. Watchdog Has Evidence Comey Probed Trump, on the Sly

It is one of the most enduring and consequential mysteries of the Trump-Russia investigation: Why did former FBI Director James Comey refuse to say publicly what he was telling President Trump in private — that Trump was not the target of an ongoing probe?

That refusal ignited a chain of events that has consumed Washington for more than two years – including Comey’s firing by Trump, the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and ongoing claims that Trump obstructed justice. read more
