Several days ago I wrote about a 14-year-old Muslim boy in Irving Texas, who, by all accounts at the time, was just an innocent Texas high schooler. I wrote that he built a clock from scratch out of parts he bought. Unfortunately, due to the appearance of the “homemade clock” (it looked like a tiny suitcase bomb), the police were called to the school and he was arrested for making what the cops called a “hoax bomb.”
Well, fast-forward several days, and now it seems Ahmed the clockmaker isn’t as he appeared. First thing to be discovered was that the homemade clock was not homemade, but merely a stripped-down, disassembled 30+ year old RadioShack digital clock. So, he lied about that.
Now we discover that another innocent member of Ahmed Mohammed’s family was suspended for a “bomb related accusation.” She was accused of wanting to blow up her school. The 17-year-old sister said she was suspended for “something I had nothing to do with.”
In my article, I described a televised interview I saw on MSNBC with Ahmed and a representative from CAIR. The fact that CAIR was on hand set off alarm bells in my head, but I watched anyway.
I noticed every time the boy spoke, he would constantly glance off screen, as if he was being coached. Now I hear that Mark Cuban spoke to the boy on the phone recently, and experienced the same thing.
