The Climate Strike is a Form of Child Abuse

by: Brent Smith

Seeing the millions of children out marching during last weeks Climate Strike was not uplifting, but quite sad.

Our children today are privileged and spoiled and possibly more ignorant than any generation previous. And it’s not their fault.

They have been so thoroughly and successfully brainwashed by radical leftist adults – teachers, parents, actors and politicians that they’ve lost any ability to even listen, much less consider an alternative view.

Oh sure, we’ve all been teenagers that think we have things figured out. But we didn’t predict the end of the world if we didn’t get our way. And we certainly didn’t insist that world leaders heed our warnings of apocalypse.

Usually it was a thought, or lack of, that I can do X, and what could possibly go wrong? A very localized concern. And when it invariably did go wrong, our parents were there to fix it. As smart as we thought we were, we knew Mom and Dad had our backs, although doubtful we’d admit it. read more

De Blasio’s Green New Deal

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

“Mayor Bill de Blasio approved an ambitious $14 billion plan last Monday to attack global warming and combat climate change,” writes the Brooklyn Daily Eagle.

“New York City’s Green New Deal will drive a nearly 30 percent additional reduction in greenhouse emissions by 2030 while also creating tens of thousands of new jobs.”

So its going to cost the residents and businesses $14 billion to attack global and combat climate change. I dedicated part of this past weekend’s video podcast to just this very thing. Not global warming, but to how the left just gets to make these wild claims without being challenged. Who would challenge them? The Daily Eagle is just parroting de Blasio’s talking points. So much for holding politicians accountable.

And I love the tens of thousands of new jobs. Doing what and paid for by whom? And why 2030? What happens in 2030? Answer – nothing. The year is just arbitrary. It’s close enough to cause the uncurious and dull-witted a sense of panic to “get things done,” but far enough away for people to forget what was claimed, as we close in on it without the world ending. The date was probably focus-grouped.

Okay, back to the propaganda. read more

MSNBC Anchor Calls Out Democrat Senator for Hypocrisy

This is stunning! Seeing an MSNBC anchor call out a fellow climate change traveler for her hypocrisy. I wonder what’s next – that these true believers on Cable News will figure out that the politicians they love are just that – politicians. That they don’t actually believe any of this crap?

from the Blaze:

MSNBC’s Katy Tur presses Sen. Hirono after no Dem votes for Green New Deal: ‘you’re trying to have it both ways’

After no Democratic senator voted in favor of the Green New Deal on Tuesday, the party line was to blame Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for trying to divide the party with a “show vote.” read more

Video Podcast – A Border Cable – Green is the New Red Deal

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

A Texas Republican Congressman, Will Hurd, has an idea to run fiber optic cable from one end of the country to the other, under ground, to detect people crossing our border illegally. This is in lieu of, or instead of a border wall.

Great plan. The cable won’t stop anyone from crossing, but will simply alert border patrol that someone, or group of someones has.

The “Green New Deal” that AOC and others have proposed is nothing more than a new communist manifesto. It’s not Democratic or any other kind of socialism. It’s straight-up communism. And what does their economic program have to do with global warming? Absolutely nothing. read more

New Democrats Will Solve Our Problems

from the American Thinker:

The Progressives and Your Money

First things first. They’re no longer Democrats. “Democrats” are so yesterday, so obsolete, so unrepresentative of current liberal thought. JFK was a Democrat and he believed in a strong military, cutting taxes and confronting worldwide evil from an absolutist — not relative — vantage point. That’s all so wrong. We need a more enlightened approach, one that benefits from the knowledge we’ve gained in the 60 years since JFK. We’re progressed so far. That’s it — we’ll call ourselves Progressives. read more
