What a Surprise – Companies Get Caught Cheating on Government Contracts

Yes, it’s the fault of the companies for cheating the government and us, the taxpayers. But this is what happens a lot when you start throwing around millions and billions of dollars in government contracts. There will always be fraudsters that use the system of big, slow moving government – not to mention payoffs of public officials. Frankly I find it miraculous that the companies got caught. I guess they just didn’t pay off the right people.

Government Grants to Nation of Islam?

Exclusive: Nation of Islam receiving federal cash to teach prisoners

The Nation of Islam and its leaders have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the U.S. government since 2008 to teach religious study programs for federal prison inmates, according to records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

A black nationalist group led by Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam preaches that white people are “blue-eyed devils” and Jews are “the synagogue of Satan.” Its leaders have received at least $364,500 in contracts and awards from the U.S. Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Justice between fiscal 2008 and fiscal 2019. read more

Obama’s labor department has decided it cannot wait for Congress to act, so it has enacted a rule to demand all employers, who have federal government contracts or who work on federal property, be forced to provide up to seven paid sick leave days per employee. Whether the employers can afford it is not the government’s problem. It’s part of what they claim is a social compact between government and the people.

It was well publicized that the U.S. paid a large ransom to Iran to release the hostages they snatched in January. It was part of two agreements secretly signed in Geneva, Switzerland.
