The Latest on Baby Charlie Gard

from Fox News:

An American doctor will travel to the UK to examine Charlie Gard, the terminally ill baby whose parents are fighting in court to keep alive.

The parents of Charlie Gard have raised more than $1.6 million to take their son to the United States for an experimental treatment. Great Ormond Street Hospital, where Charlie is being treated, has intended to turn off his life support as multiple courts have ruled that prolonging the baby’s life would only cause him greater pain.

Mark Levin Says to Just Repeal ObamaCare

Mark Levin, was on the Fox News program, The Five, yesterday. He was brilliant as usually. But by brilliant, I mean brilliantly simplistic. He discussed repeal and replacement of ObamaCare with Eric Bolling, who appears to be shilling for the GOP and is more concerned with the outcome of the 2018 midterms already, than doing what the Republicans promised prior to winning majorities. In other words, party trumps country.

Rather then explain what Levin said, why not just watch the exchange: read more

Sean Hannity is as Good as Gone

Although I’m no longer a big fan of Sean Hannity, it’s utterly unfair and shameful what is happening to him. Fox News has an obvious plan of “out with old – in with the new.” They simply won’t admit that this is what is happening. The people at the top of Fox desire to remake the cable network, and as such, have no desire to stand behind the stars that made them number one.

Granted, they did not start this. It appears to merely be a happy accident that the left has decided to descend upon their spineless advertisers, who predictably follow suit by turning tail and running at the first whiff of losing even a single customer. It’s pathetic. And Fox, rather than stand behind them, has instead chosen to hang them out to dry. I personally think they would love to see Hannity gone, to be replaced by some Barbie and/or Ken doll.

If not for how horrid their competition is, they would quickly lose their spot as number one in cable news, and deservedly so.

from The Blaze:

Fox News host Sean Hannity has reportedly gone “underground” while he mulls over a departure from his longtime employer, Fox News.

According to the Independent Journal Review, which first reported the news late Friday, Hannity is “actively considering” whether or not he will return to Fox News next week following an abrupt announcement from the network that he was taking an extended Memorial Day weekend vacation. read more

Is O’Reilly Looking Out for the Folks or Just Looking Out for Babes

Like so many others, I tune into Fox news because it is literally the only cable alternative to a constant barrage of leftism. Sure, I tune in to get real news stories without a leftist spin, but more, I watch for the conservative commentary programs.

Now, between the ouster of Roger Ailes and the O’Reilly harassment accusations, I’d say Fox News has a bit of a problem. Certainly it is not insurmountable, but I’m sure it’s a concern for the execs at Fox.

And now that there appears to be blood in the water, the leftist sharks are circling O’Reilly and Fox, preparing for a feeding frenzy. One thing we should all know about the left – when they sense a problem on the right, they attack and don’t let go until their prey is vanquished. They never give up and never surrender (h/t: Galaxy Quest).

And the attacks on O’Reilly have begun. Salon.com posted a piece entitled “The no-ad zone: ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ may be tops on cable TV, but Bill O’Reilly is turning off advertisers.” read more

Shouldn’t Ryan’s Healthcare Failure be About Us?

by: the Common Constitutionalist

No Audio Version

Can we get a little perspective on the epic RINOCare fail? By perspective, I mean, exactly who it really harms.

There is a one word answer to the question of who it harms, and it doesn’t start with ‘T’. The word actually begins with ‘U’ – as in Us! Yet watching the weekend cable news broadcasts, there has been nary a word mentioned about the harm Paul Ryan’s phony “repeal and replace” bill has caused us – the Americans who voted for these bums.

We the “silent majority,” who, over the past few election cycles, have decided to not be so silent – to make our wishes known to these politicians. In return for our votes they have made promises.

Beginning in 2010, Republicans began an unbroken string of passing clean repeal bills. They’ve asked for our help to build majorities and WE made it happen. We even elected an “outsider” from the business community to aid in our quest to roll back government and rid us of ObamaCare. And for all our trouble – for all our hard work and heavy lifting, it is WE who have been stabbed in the back by Ryan and the establishment.

However, to historically reliable cables news outlets like Fox, it is like we don’t exist. It seems as if it is now all about politics – not people – not voters and taxpayers. read more

Mark Levin Presents Evidence of Obama Wiretapping

We’ve always known those in the Obama administration were dirty. I, as have many others have chronicled offense after offense Obama and his minions have perpetrated on political opponents, journalists and private citizens.

But now, we hope, it may be finally catching up to him and them. Yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Mark Levin put forth no less than eight pieces of evidence of the Obama administration attempt to derail the Trump campaign and to derail his presidency. As Levin put it – “the evidence is about the Obama administration spying.”

Mark says it’s not a question of whether there was spying, “we know they did..” The question is “who did they spy on, the extent of the spying.”

Obama Crime Syndicate Extorted Cash for Friends

Those who love government, love it, in part, for its authority to regulate evil private sector industries. Of course this is redundant, because as we know, all private sector endeavors are inherently evil. All private sector corporations would purposely poison, maim and/or kill all of their customers if it weren’t for government regulation forbidding them from doing so.

So when our government watchdogs sniff out a company which has produced a faulty product or otherwise swindled the innocent, you can bet a hefty financial penalty will follow suit.

Yet, as we’ve known for years, and others are now discovering, the Obama government was not as much an industry watchdog as it was possibly the world’s largest crime syndicate.

Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire reports on a Fox News story that broke just Wednesday. “Advocates for big government and progressive power are using the Justice Department to extort money from corporations,” Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch told Fox. “It’s a shakedown. It’s corrupt, pure and simple.” read more

Former Black Panther Destroys John Lewis

Former member of the radical`60’s era Black Panthers, Mason Weaver, went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show last night to discuss civil rights icon John Lewis and Lewis’s feud with Donald Trump.

In a rather stunning exposé, Weaver completely dismantles Lewis’s argument that Trump is somehow illegitimate. Rather, Weaver insists that it is Lewis and the other phony social justice warriors who are illegitimate and are the ones to blame for all the problems of the black community.

Fox News Trump Cup Runneth Over With Misinformation

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I’ve heard about all I need to hear from the Trump cabin boys and girls on Fox News. This is why I decided to stay clear of recent political commentary, at least domestically.

But to the victors go the spoils and one of those spoils is the rewriting of history. Yes, those who win the day – those who conquer have the advantage of the “bully pulpit,” and as such are able to wantonly make false claims with very little blowback from the truth-telling minority.

These false claims quickly gain traction with the ill-informed or purposely ignorant until, over time, the false claims become what pass for true historical account.

I’m speaking specifically of the Republican convention, Ted Cruz’s speech, the crowd’s coerced reaction and the obvious and calculated effort by Trump to upstage Cruz. I am also speaking of the pitiful display by Fox News “analysts” in their attempt to crush Cruz and his supporters once and for all.

As an aside: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We Cruz “supporters” are not sycophantic supporters of a man. We are supporters of ideas and ideals. Unlike the Trump rump-swabs, if Cruz betrays these, we’ll run from him as we have done from others. read more

And Then There Was One

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I am not a #NeverTrump guy. I never have been. I’ve jokingly said things like it, but I was never #NeverTrump. I also said I was never an “Only Cruz” guy. Like Levin, Beck and very few other prominent conservatives, I have become an “Always Constitution” voter. Cruz was our guy because he was the closest we may ever come to “Always Constitution.”

From the start, I didn’t care who the nominee was, as long as they could remain true to the Constitution. I understand being true to the Constitution is impossible today, even for Ted, but if Jeb Bush came out early on and had a provable, demonstrable conversion to constitutional conservatism, I could have just as easily been a Jeb Bush guy. Fat chance of that happening.

This is what many don’t seem to understand, or if they do, they don’t disseminate, either accidentally or purposely. For some #NeverTrump folks I’m sure their opposition is establishment sour grapes, but not for voters like us.

Rush, Sean, virtually the entire Fox News Crew and many other conservatives only characterize #NeverTrump voters as the establishment. You must be one or the other. Very rarely, if ever do they mention real principled constitutionalists as those who cannot and will not pull the lever for The Donald. This is quite frustrating.

I believe I know why they do it. I think it’s a veiled attempt to convince us that to abstain from voting for Trump is a defacto vote for Hillary, thus becoming unwitting stooges for the establishment RINOs. Naturally no conservative wants to be classified as an establishment stooge, so therefore we must get on board the Trump train to prove our anti-establishment bona-fides. read more
