Doomsday for Conservatives

By: the Common Constitutionalist

If it’s not End Times for the world, it certainly may be for conservative America.

First – the world. Just take a look around.

Look at what the former KGB operative and current supreme leader of mother Russia is doing. You may recall last week that Vladimir “Pooty-Poot” Putin ordered two Russian Bear bombers to buzz Great Britain. RAF Typhoon fighters had to be scrambled to chase them off. Awarship few days earlier, a Russian warship had to be escorted by the U.K. military through the English Channel. I’m sure it just made a wrong turn at Iceland. At the same time the British government is discussing cuts in their defense spending. They might want to rethink that strategy.

Putin is on the march and actively testing the west’s ability and fortitude to repel him should he decide to begin to take more territory. This Russian situation is a lot more serious than is being advertised. One stupid mistake from some overzealous official on either side – and the missiles start flying.

Then there are the many faces of terror that threaten the entire west. Personally, I think most, if not all of Europe is doomed, owing not only to their spineless “go along to get along” attitude toward Muslims in general, but also their admittance of so many Muslims into their countries. I am certainly not the only one who feels this way. read more

Illegals Can Carry Guns and Collect Unemployment

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The new United States Congress is actually going to attempt to de-fund at least some of the Homeland Security budget that pertains to president Obama’s illegal executive action on immigration.

I’d like to quickly go off topic for just a moment and ask a question. Is there another name for these “immigrants”? Can someone come up with a more appropriate name for these illegals Obama is legalizing please? Criminal trespassers maybe, or worse, when I report what I’m about to report.

Well, it seems the Congress isn’t the only one trying to stop Obama. There are 24 states also trying to block the president’s illegal immigration decree.amnesty

And why are the States getting involved? Obviously they understand that just like every other mandate imposed on them by the feds, the States will be left holding the financial bag.

And they also, most likely, realize that when the feds announced a target number, as in 4 million illegals in this case, the number is guaranteed to be much greater. The States will be on the hook for their education, healthcare, etc., none of which they can afford.

MailOnline reports that a brief released by Wisconsin says “States will have to pay millions of dollars to remediate the problems created by the directive. It will be difficult or impossible to recover those costs from the federal government.” read more

Podcast – Executive Amnesty & the Pirate of the House

Today I rant about the President’s executive amnesty but more so, the pitiful and frankly criminal response by the Republican squishes in the House that talk tough and get nothing done:

The Left Rewrites History Again

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Obama and the left have a habit of distorting and rewriting history to bend to their warped views of how the world should look and how history should have been recorded.

I’m starting to wonder if maybe they are that deluded, that like Dorothy, clicking her ruby slippers together, if you wish hard enough for something to be so – if you want badly enough for it to be – you may then record that fantasy as factual history.

“Auntie Em, Auntie Em.” “Oh little Barack – it’s okay now – we’re all here.” “But Auntie Em – I had the most horrible nightmare. Reverend Wright – you were there, and you Mr. Ayers. Frank Marshall Davis was there.” “Here I am son. No need to fret.” “And Mr. Alinsky…” “Don’t worry son. You’re awake now. The Constitution was just a bad dream.”

Yeah, it’s like that. Or maybe it’s like the wife of a deceased union leader and activist completely turning history on its head to fit the current narrative. read more

Republicans Will Vote to Fund President Obama’s Amnesty

from: RedState

You people are being played by the GOP. Remember when the GOP wanted to raise the debt ceiling, but claim they would oppose it. They voted to raise it, but then Congress could vote to stop the raise. The President could then veto the stoppage and the debt ceiling would raise. But the GOP could claim they opposed him.

That is happening again. This time it is with amnesty. read more

Obama – The One Man Constitutional Convention

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Yesterday Rush Limbaugh was speaking about the same thing everyone else in the universe is discussing – Obama’s crossing from boyhood to manhood – from quasi-president to quasi-dictator.

He (Limbaugh) mentioned a Washington Post article that was posted during the airing of his program by Robert Costa regarding the damage control of poor establishment Republican “elders” like Lindsey Graham and their struggle to “control the outrage” within their ranks.

In other words, control the rabble-rousers like Michelle Bachmann and Ted Cruz.

What the “elders” in the GOP don’t get is that Obama isn’t doing this for the sake of illegal aliens. He, like many have said, is doing this to create a permanent underclass of Democrat voters.

Yet he’s also doing it for a much more insidious reason. I believe he means to purposely stick a finger in the eye of what he hates most – the Constitution of the United States – that document written by racist whites with its cadre of negative liberties.

Now, as for how the left will react – leftist radicals won’t be satisfied with Obama’s decree. As Mark Levin says, their radical socialists, and as such, believe in and unachievable socialist utopia. read more

Obama Amnesty Adds Workers

from: The Daily Caller

President Barack Obama’s unilateral amnesty will quickly add as many foreign workers to the nation’s legal labor force as the total number of new jobs created by his economy since 2009.

The plans, expected to be announced late Nov. 20, will distribute five million work permits to illegal immigrants, and also create a new inflow of foreign college graduates for prestigious salaried jobs, according to press reports.

Obama has already provided or promised almost one million extra work permits to foreigners, while his economy has only added six million jobs since 2009.

Under the president’s new amnesty plan, “up to four million undocumented immigrants who have lived in the United States for at least five years can apply. … An additional one million people will get protection from deportation through other parts of the president’s plan,” according to a Nov. 19 report in The New York Times.

The five million total was attributed to “people briefed on his plans,” the Times reports.

The five million work permits will add to Obama’s prior giveaways, which have provided work permits to almost one million foreigners.

Republicans Will Not Block Barack Obama

from: RedState

In 2011, Barack Obama said he did not have the constitutional authority to do what he is going to announce today. In fact, on March 28, 2011, Barack Obama said

“With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case…. There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president.”

The only thing to change between 2011 and now are two elections — one of which saw President Obama win after saying this. The other saw both he and his party go down to defeat after suggesting he had changed his mind. In other words, the status quo of public opposition (even among Hispanic voters) to a unilateral decision by fiat remains. read more

Latino Ingrate or Shrewd El Politico

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Perusing the inter-web, I found an article that intrigued me. The man who wrote it, or the editor, or someone entitled it properly, causing me to click on it and read.

The article is, “Latinos Should Withhold Support From Democrats“, posted by Arturo Carmona at Real Clear Politics. Mr. Carmona is executive director of Presidente Action.

Well, it turns out, this post wasn’t “Real Clear” at all. I was going in expecting to read about “Latinos” seeing the light and voting conservative, or at least Republican, and although it kind of reads that way, I’ll guarantee that’s not his motivation.

Mr. Carmona is angry because Obama and the Democrats haven’t done enough for them, and by them, of course I mean the millions of criminal aliens.

Yes, Mr. Carmona claims that Obama has betrayed him and his lawbreaking “people”. He writes: “For months, president Obama promised that he – and the rest of the nation – were done with Republican obstructionism on immigration reform. On March 14, he indicated he would instruct Homeland Security secretary Jeh Johnson to produce recommendations for executive actions to bring relief to millions of immigrant families suffering in the shadows.”

Republican obstructionism? Really? So now, in 2014, current immigration law is considered obstructionism. And there are no recommendations to make. What Johnson suggests or suggested and whatever Obama does will be both illegal and anticonstitutional. But to Obama, it’s only illegal if you can stop them. read more
