Another Example of Media Bias

from NewsBusters:

Mayor Joy Cooper of Hallandale Beach, Florida, was forced to resign by Sunshine State Governor Rick Scott on Friday after her Thursday arrest on three felony charges: campaign finance violations, official misconduct and money laundering. At least four Florida news outlets have run reports failing to tag Cooper, who is accused of accepted illegal campaign finance checks from Russians, as a Democrat. read more

Dems Register Refugees to Vote

The following video is from Conservative Review. It shows the chairwoman of the Nebraska State Democrat Party speaking about welcoming immigrant and refugees into her State. She is proud that on a per capita basis, Nebraska welcomes the greatest amount of immigrants and refugees. I’m sure the people of the red State of Nebraska would be thrilled by this news.

The video shows her walking to and displaying several of what she calls welcome baskets for incoming refugees. There are the usual items, including blankets, pillows, toilet paper and such. And then on top of each basket, is an envelope she says is from the Nebraska State Democrat Party. Inside the envelope is a letter welcoming the new welfare recipients (my words – not hers), and one other thing – a VOTER REGISTRATION CARD!! Yes – a voter registration card, which is clearly illegal, but described by her in passing as harmlessly as reciting a shopping list.

The entire short video is a must see, but the shocker is at 2:36 in. What’s the democrat refrain – there is no voter fraud?

Filibuster is Good – No It’s Not – Yes it Is – No It’s Not

from RedState:

New York Times Prints Op-Ed Supporting Filibuster (Unexpectedly!)

The New York Times, facing a Republican Senate and President, today prints a shock op-ed piece arguing that the filibuster is a venerable tool that should not be discarded. (Yes, I’m joking about it being shocking.) The piece is titled Why Republicans Shouldn’t Weaken the Filibuster:

The Senate has historically been the one place in our government where legislative minorities are protected, with rules to check overzealous majorities.

The twin pillars of the body’s uniqueness are unlimited debate and unfettered amendments. The minority can almost always have some influence on legislative outcomes. This has often made the Senate the cradle of compromise. read more

Conservatives Versus the Establishment

by: the Common Constitutionalist

You have 2 Options. Read the article or listen to the Podcast.

Question: If conservatives are such losers, why do the Democrats wish to dispatch them so early? If the voters consider conservatives and the Tea Party a bunch of Bible thumping hayseed extremists, why don’t the Dems root for their success in the primaries?

Why doesn’t Democrat strategist Joe Trippi jump on the Matt Bevin bandwagon – try to defeat the great Mitch McConnell – thus enabling the Democrats to defeat the “fringe” Bevin in the general election?

After all, no one in their right mind would vote for a “Wacko Bird” (thank you John McCain) like Matt Bevin. But that’s not going to happen.

And why? Because the left will always tell you with whom they are afraid. The more afraid they are of an opponent the more they appear to discount that opponent. That’s their tell – to put it in poker terms. read more

We Can’t Always Agree with Our Heroes

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Lately I’ve penned a few rather depressing articles. I’ve even had someone tell me that I’ve written of America’s demise because I want it to occur.

Well that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I told him, “Do you think I want to write or even think of this stuff? People must know what is happening to our country.”

Just think of where we would be without talk radio and the Internet. We would be virtually blind, metaphorically.

It gives me no pleasure to report on the destruction of our country and the people who are causing it.

But as Glenn Beck says; “the truth lives here”, so no matter how painful, we must dispense the truth, or at least as we perceive it.

So it pains me to do this – to write about this individual in anyway but hero worship, for he is a truly brilliant conservative -one of the greatest minds of our time.

But even Dr. Thomas Sowell is not above criticism, albeit, this is a first for me. I’m hoping it will be the last.

I hate this, but right is right and I think Dr. Sowell is wrong. Boy that hurt! I’m glad this isn’t paper for it would be wet from my tears.

Recently Dr. Sowell wrote a couple of articles basically singling out Ted Cruz for not attempting to “unify” the Republican Party before the 2014 elections. read more

History Doesn’t Support Cuomo

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The political world is still buzzing over the incendiary comments New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo made regarding his views on Republicans, more specifically, conservatives.

Even dyed in the wool New Yorker Sean Hannity said he would make plans to leave his state. Something I thought he would never do or even say. Good for Sean.

Now I don’t know if Cuomo really believes the things he said or whether he simply sees the final transformation of the Democratic Party into the Communist Party via New York City Mayor DeBlasio? It may be a calculated attempt to shift way left. Who knows – who cares. He said what he said and there’s really no walking it back.

It’s funny though, with all the problems plaguing his state and the country, he and the rest of the leftists insist on blaming conservatives for ruining the country. We are why the country is falling apart. It certainly couldn’t be the combination of almost 200 years of rotten, fascist, racist Democrat policies. Whatever do I mean, you ask?

I mean just this. Look back in history and be reminded that virtually every bad policy, every ruinous decision, every unconstitutional law or mandate was the handiwork of a Democrat. read more

Chris Christie and the Scorpions

by: the Common Constitutionalist

An absolute truth about the left is that they will always reveal what or who scares them. They attack an attempt to silence anyone they fear. Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz and even Ronald Reagan, when they thought they could get away with it.

They do tend to be a bit more mute and understanding when dealing with aisle crossing, compromising, conservative bashing Republicans.

To that point, a woman called in to Rush yesterday. She asked, if liberals are afraid of Christie, if, as we claim, they would prefer to face a big government progressive, why are they attacking him? Why do they feel the need to bring him down now?

They should be defending him and loving him as they did/do someone like John McCain. Or at the very least, they should be tolerating his shenanigans.

We expect Republicans, right or wrong, to throw one of their own overboard, but not so with the left.

However, this time around, more than just a couple of establishment types have turned out to defend Christie. Preibus, Rove, Haley Barbour and even Rudy Giuliani have all come to his aid. There is another establishment darling, Jeb Bush, that appears to be quiet on the subject. Wonder why? read more

Democrat Senator Opposed Obamacare Quick-Fix

A Colorado Democrat who introduced a U.S. senate bill Wednesday to prevent insurance policy cancellations under Obamacare voted against a 2010 resolution that would have done just that.

But now, trying to upstage President Obama, Sen. Mark Udall is declaring victory – saying the president’s call Thursday for insurance companies to stop cancellations a “scaled down version” of his solution to “ensure that the health care law works for Coloradans.” read more

All Hail Chris Christie

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Yes, prepare the kingdom for the coronation of the new monarch of the moderates.

Chris Christie won big in New Jersey and now has his sights firmly set on the White House.

He won in a liberal state with the backing of the Republican Party and Chamber of Commerce, none of which he needed to defeat a weak Democrat with virtually no party support.

It’s almost as if the Democrats wanted Christie to win.

At the same time the Republicans spent very little to help the conservative Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia. And the Chamber of Commerce; how much did they spend on the Cuccinelli campaign? Zip!

So why on earth would the Libs want Christie to win? Heck, Obama even called to congratulate Christie, you know, cause they are such good buddies. Frankly, I’m half surprised Obama didn’t join Christie on the campaign trail. read more

Ricin Letters Sent Dy Democrat

Yet Another Democrat Tries To Assassinate An American President

The would-be assassin, whose fame I will not contribute to by writing his name, sent letters laced with ricin to Obama and to Republican Senator Roger Wicker. Inhaling the toxin is deadly, and all it takes to kill a human is an amount 1/288 the size of an aspirin.

A picture of the man, a white guy whom I will henceforth refer to as John, surfaced on the Internet (where pictures are wont to surface). It comes from his Facebook page and shows John kneeling down beside the back bumper of a car, which has a sticker on it that reads, “Christian and a Democrat.” John is giving the sticker a thumbs-up.

However, his Facebook page lists his political views as “Independent.” So the fact that he gave a pro-Democrat bumper sticker a thumbs-up and also tried killing a Democratic president likely means he is one of those people who feel that Obama is too moderate, that the Democratic Party is not suitably liberal, and therefore has registered as an Independent.
