Remember this? It wasn’t that long ago: 2.2 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE U.S. COULD DIE IF CORONAVIRUS GOES UNCHECKED.
So it was between 1.5 and 2.2 million dead in the U.S. and 500,000 in the U.K. That was the Imperial College estimate.
That’s if we did nothing. No mitigation at all. And why would we do nothing? Ridiculous!!
Then it was downgraded to “the best we can hope for,” even with mitigation, social distancing and trashing our economy. That was between 100,000 and 240,000.
That was March 31st. It’s now only April 9th – a mere 10 days later.
Then late last week, the number was again downgraded to 81,000 and now yesterday – downgraded again to 60,000.
And it’s now 7,000 to 12,000 in U.K. – down from 500,000. What the hell!!
