Today – Leftists Have Georgia on Their Minds

All eyes, politically speaking, will be on a certain special Congressional election today.

It’s Georgia’s Sixth Congressional district – the one vacated by Tom Price when he stepped down to become President Trump’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary.

This election would not otherwise be of importance or the slightest bit intriguing, but this is not just any election. Oh, it won’t change the make-up of the House, or unseat the Republicans. Nothing that dramatic – at least not to normal people.

This election is being overly hyped because this is a red district in a red State, which may actually end up being won by a Democrat. And this, as is being broadcast by virtually all left wing media sources, is to be proof of the American voter’s absolute repudiation of Trump.

That’s the bottom line – that’s what it’s all about, and only that.

The left is salivating over the potential victory, much like they were just before Hillary Clinton flamed out and crashed in a fiery ball of death.

So what’s the big deal anyway? What chance does a liberal Democrat (as if there is any other type of Democrat anymore) have in winning a reliable Republican district?

Normally none, but the candidate, Jon Ossoff, is said to have a good shot at taking the seat – because – you know – everyone now hates Trump. read more

Jeb’s Bold Experiment

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Did you hear the news? Jeb Bush has dropped out the 2016 presidential race. Oh, you haven’t heard? Yes, he still wishes to become the next monarch-in-chief but has decided to not actually run for the office.

Instead, Jeb, ever the innovator has decided to let a super PAC run in his place.

Well, that’s not exactly accurate, but it is close. He will become his campaign’s figurehead, or puppet if you will, and the super PAC will do the heavy lifting. By heavy lifting, I mean lifting all those heavy bags of cash his super PAC will raise from the myriad of influence peddlers who wish for the Washington gravy train to continue.

The Daily Mail  reports that “Jeb Bush is preparing to embark on an experiment in presidential politics: delegating many of the nuts and bolts tasks of seeking the White House to a separate political organization that can raise unlimited amounts of campaign cash.”

The experiment, of course, is to discover whether it will be possible to simply buy the White House, or at least the Republican nomination. And in my estimation, that will be the only way he has a chance to win. No doubt he and his team know this. read more
