WND Exclusive – The Myth of Poverty in America

from Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Bernie Sanders says, “If I’m not mistaken, China has made more progress in addressing extreme poverty than any other country in the history of civilization. They’ve done a lot of things for their people.”

Yes they have, unless you are one of “their people” who just happens to be part of the Chinese Muslim community, for example, or not part of the Maoist cultural revolution, which killed an estimated 20-45 million.

But what should we expect from Bernie the Red? This is the same guy who trumpeted the Cuban Communist health-care system. read more

Sanders Lurches Furthest Left with New Climate Change Scheme

Typical brain-dead leftist. Pay for a program by taxing the Golden Eggs from the Goose you vow to kill. Makes perfect sense!

from the Blaze:

Bernie Sanders unveils most extreme climate change plan of all 2020 Dems

He says the plan will ‘pay for itself’ in 15 years

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) released a climate change plan Thursday that far exceeds the plans of other Democrats in both ambition and cost, according to the New York Times.

Sanders, who supported the infamous Green New Deal posted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), gave his plan the same title and wants to eliminate fossil fuel use completely by 2050. read more

WND Exclusive – Will Michelle be the Belle of the Democratic Field?

from Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

A few days ago, Rush Limbaugh, on his radio program, was discussing a theory that Michelle Obama may be thinking about throwing her hat into the presidential ring. He discussed how it might happen and why.

Personally, I don’t think there’s any way this will happen. I’ll give a quick thought on this later in the column.

But I’d rather speak of the few current front-runners – Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. All have issues that should disqualify them from even consideration by the leftist base. Yet it continues to be a fascination how the democrats are so easily able to suspend their own identity politics and support two old white guys and the descendant of a slave owner. read more

O’Rourke is Just Another Political Chameleon

As it turns out, Robert Francis O’Rourke is just another politician who will vote one way, then turn around and promise just the opposite. It seems many of our political class are like this. They’ll say whatever they must – be whoever a particular crowd wants them to be. Like Barack Obama, it seems old Beto is just another empty canvas. His supporters and the media get to envision what they want him to look like, and that’s what he will become.

But at least a couple of former supporters aren’t buying it.

Obama’s 2008 Platform Would be Rejected by Dems Today

from IBD:

Would Barack Obama Be Too Conservative For Today’s Democrats?

When Bernie Sanders announced on Tuesday that he was running for president, the only surprising thing was how much competition he’ll have on the far left. The current crop of 2020 candidates is so liberal, in fact, that it makes the Barack Obama of 2008 look positively right wing.

When Obama first ran, he tried to position himself as something of a fiscal moderate.

Obama complained about “the orgy of spending” under President George W. Bush. He pledged that all his spending plans were more than offset with spending cuts.

“What I’ve done throughout this campaign is to propose a net spending cut,” he said. read more

Socialist Sanders Loves his Private Jets

from the Washington Free Beacon:

Bernie Sanders Spends Thousands More on Private Jet Travel

The reelection campaign for Bernie Sanders spent more than $400,000 to travel on private jets during the midterm elections, Federal Election Commission filings show.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported on Sanders’s use of private jets in 2017 after he disclosed a payment of just under $40,000 to Apollo Jets, a New York-based company “dedicated to providing a luxury flight experience.” read more

Bernie Sanders is a Wealth of Bad Ideas

from IBD:

Bernie Sanders Wants Jeff Bezos To Pay For The Welfare State — What Could Go Wrong?

Bernie Sanders, who never held a steady job until he started getting paid by taxpayers, thinks Amazon should pay its workers more. And if it doesn’t, he wants to tax Amazon for each “underpaid” employee, to finance government benefits. Even Bernie’s friends think he’s off the rails.

Sanders, never one for subtlety, calls his new bill the “Stop BEZOS Act.” It would impose a tax on each worker employed by any company that hires more than 500 people. The tax would cover 100% of the cost of whatever federal benefits those workers or their families might also be getting. read more

Wealthy Socialists can Thank Capitalism

On this episode of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Socialist,” Stu Burguiere of the Glenn Beck show highlights two of today’s most popular democrats. Stu explains that both Bernie Sanders and the latest star of the Party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have only capitalism to thank for their success. What they’ve achieved could not occur under the socialist or communist systems they claim to love.

Video Podcast – Feelin the Republican Bern – Leftists took to Twitter

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Recently, a camera wielding interviewer took to the streets of New York City. There he founds liberals who were actually quite enamored with the new Republican Tax law.

How could this be you may ask? Easy – the roving conservative reporter presented the Republican plan as one authored by their hero Bernie Sanders. These leftists agreed with practically every proposal within the plan, when they thought it originated with Bernie.

Some radical leftists took to Twitter a few days ago to lament not just the Republican tax plan, but Louisiana Representative Steve Scalise’s help in passing it.

Recall that Scalise was the unfortunate soul gunned down by another unhinged Bernie supporter during a Congressional baseball earlier this year.

They tweeted that the shooter should have finished the job. read more

Socialism is Never Cool

Socialism never works. Look at a country like Brazil. Brazilian journalist Felipe Moura Brasil explained all about the rise and fall of his country in a segment at Pragar-U online.

In the early 2000s Brazil was a burgeoning capitalist nation. Inflation, something that plaques all socialist paradises was drastically reduced and the government had decided to give up or at least pare down its hold over many “state-run” companies. They were moving toward a free market – toward capitalism. Things were looking pretty good for Brazil.

In 2006 Brazil became one the famous BRIC nations, and American and other private investors poured their investment dollars into Brazil, looking to get in on this new free-market boom. BRIC was a group of four “emerging market” nations ripe for private investment. BRIC stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China. Not so much any more.

But they made one big mistake. You see, in a truly free society, while most succeed, some will be left behind. It’s just the way it is and has always been. Not everyone has equal talents, nor is everyone equally industrious. Politicians love to focus on these free-market inequities. They prey on the guilt of the more industrious and convince the rest that through a transfer of wealth, all can share in the bounty. Sound familiar. Are you “Feelin the Bern?” read more
