The Left Still Cannot Say Terrorism

Terrorism is terrorism, regardless of the source, and two American cities felt the sting of it over the weekend. Is it really that hard to say? Apparently. And if someone on the left does summon up the word, it must always be supplemented with a descriptor.

One of two terrorist attacks, a bombing, occurred this weekend in Manhattan, N.Y. “No-one has come forward to admit to planting the device, which exploded in a dumpster,” Cuomo said, but citizens should make no mistake: “a bomb exploding in New York is an act of terrorism.”

Got that. At the time he stated (Sunday morning), that no one, or group, had claimed responsibility. Yet he was quick to insist it was not the work of ISIS, or any specific group.

However, he also added that, “We’re not going to let them win. They want to make you afraid. We’re not going to let them instill fear.”

Okay – so Cuomo admitted he/we don’t know who the bomber is, yet he knows for a fact it is definitely not ISIS, but we can’t let THEM win. If he/we don’t know who the bomber is – may I ask who THEM is? read more

History Doesn’t Support Cuomo

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The political world is still buzzing over the incendiary comments New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo made regarding his views on Republicans, more specifically, conservatives.

Even dyed in the wool New Yorker Sean Hannity said he would make plans to leave his state. Something I thought he would never do or even say. Good for Sean.

Now I don’t know if Cuomo really believes the things he said or whether he simply sees the final transformation of the Democratic Party into the Communist Party via New York City Mayor DeBlasio? It may be a calculated attempt to shift way left. Who knows – who cares. He said what he said and there’s really no walking it back.

It’s funny though, with all the problems plaguing his state and the country, he and the rest of the leftists insist on blaming conservatives for ruining the country. We are why the country is falling apart. It certainly couldn’t be the combination of almost 200 years of rotten, fascist, racist Democrat policies. Whatever do I mean, you ask?

I mean just this. Look back in history and be reminded that virtually every bad policy, every ruinous decision, every unconstitutional law or mandate was the handiwork of a Democrat. read more

Texas strikes back at New York

by: the Common Constitutionalist

By now everyone, at least the geeks that follow this stuff (like you and me), have heard New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s recent speech regarding the few conservatives that may still reside in his state.

For those who haven’t, here’s a quick recap: The governor stated that, “There is a schism in the Republican Party. They’re searching to define their soul… Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay – if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

Now that sounds reasonable, don’t you think? It sure is nice to see the lefts tolerance and acceptance of others viewpoints and beliefs on display.

Now rumor is that Rick Perry, Gov. of Texas is preparing a speech to counter Cuomo’s remarks. As luck would have it, I have obtained a draft copy of said speech. Let me reveal it to you now.

“Conservatives, unlike liberals, are freethinkers and thus have varying opinions on many subjects. Normally we conservatives do not march in lockstep – but I, as the duly elected speechifier (got that word from “W”) do decree the following to all who reside in the state of Texas.” read more
