Video Podcast – Assimilation and Swedish Hand Grenades

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Isn’t Sweden one of the Nordic socialist paradises the left wants to emulate? Life is wonderful, everyone is happy and taken care of. It’s much better, they say, than the crappy capitalist and violent United States.

Nothing bad happens in Sweden, right?

Well, not exactly. It seems they have an increasing problem of non-assimilation of immigrants and now hand grenade attacks.

So what do the Swedish Authorities propose? That’s right – a hand grenade amnesty program. You too can turn in your hand grenades with no questions asked.

How great is that! read more

Trump Must Draw a Red Line in the Sand

I remember when my kids were little and my wife (now ex-wife) and I both worked. We had to drop the kids off at daycare. For a period of time, one or the other or both, would wail, crying for Mommy and/or Daddy, like we abandoned them. We felt bad – her more than me – but we got over it, knowing we would be reunited with the little tikes at the end of the day.

But what if we had to drop them off, not at daycare, but life-care, with little to no prospect of seeing them ever again? I would say not a chance, as would hopefully the overwhelming majority of parents.

Short of tossing them off a train that’s traveling to a death camp, what the hell kind of parent would voluntarily separate from their children. And I don’t mean to save them from just potential harm. I mean to save them from certain death.

But this is what the left is trying to convince us of – that Honduras, Guatemala and el Salvador have all descended into some sort of Khmer Rouge type killing fields. Central American countries are in fact the murder capitals of the world, but it is not certain death to stay there, as it was by being a Jew in Nazi Germany, or anyone who opposed Stalin or Mao, or Pol Pot, leader of the aforementioned Khmer Rouge. read more

The White House Immigration Framework is a Nightmare

Lately I’ve be telling everyone not to panic over what Trump is saying in regards to DACA, the DREAMers and illegals in general. I’ve said not to place too much on what Trump says, but rather what he ends up doing.

But I have to say, it is difficult to do this time around. It’s difficult to dismiss, as this is not just Trump spouting off to some reporter. This is a written framework, written by the White House and released to Republican lawmakers. You may review it here, and I strongly suggest you do.

The White House Immigration “framework” proposal begins with the following:

The Department of Homeland Security must have the tools to deter illegal immigration; the ability to remove individuals who illegally enter the United States; and the vital authorities necessary to protect national security.

Wow. That sounds quite forceful, and comprehensive. And it is…comprehensive. Unfortunately, in Washington, comprehensive doesn’t mean what we think. To politicians, comprehensive is code for overly and purposely complicated, filled with loads of crap that detract from the President’s originally stated intent. That was, of course, to build a great wall along the entire Southern border and deport people here illegally. As illegal immigration is one of my “hot buttons,” it was one of the primary reasons I voted for him. read more

WND Exclusive – Can we still trust President Trump?

The nation is all a atwitter over this apparent Trump-Schumer-Pelosi triumvirate.

I was personally disappointed that Trump even met with the two dirt dealers. Nothing productive could come of it. And herein lies the problem: We don’t know what was said or agreed upon, yet everyone has an opinion – but based on what?

I suppose, we could base opinion on conjecture or “ifs,” as it were. If Trump did this, then we’re happy – if Trump did that, then we’re mad, etc. read more

Texas Beats Obama on Illegal Immigration

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The good guys finally won one! Well – kind of. We have at least temporarily beaten back the Obama forces of evil – the pro-illegal alien crowd.

To further clarify, we didn’t actually do anything. The supreme Court, with is deadlocked eight current members, did the job for us.

Yesterday, the eight member court failed to muster a majority of votes to rehear the case concerning Obama’s stalled Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty scheme.

To review, DACA was illegally decreed by Obama in June of 2012. It allows that illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children and meet several guidelines may request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal. They are also eligible for work authorization. In other words, call it what they will – but it’s ultimately a form of amnesty. read more

Podcast – Marco Rubio Mega Flip Flop – Mike Huckabee Campaign On Life Support

Marco Rubio is not who he seems. A mere five years ago he was a self-proclaim anti-amnesty, anti-illegal immigration warrior. He said so in a 2010 interview and you’ll hear it for yourself, straight from Rubio’s mouth. So what happen to Marco?

I also discuss poor Mike Huckabee, whose presidential campaign has all but taken its last breath. But who will Huckleberry support? Listen and find out. read more

Republicans Take a Page from the Islamist Playbook

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I learned something yesterday listening to Talk Radio. I’m not even sure who brought it up, but they spoke of the Republican response to the State of the Union (SOTU) address and that it was presented in Spanish.

Curbelo

Curbelo

Since I just published an article about the various SOTU responses, and mentioned the Tea Party Express response, I thought they were speaking of Congressman Clawson’s speech, presented partially in Spanish. You may review that article here.

But I was wrong – there was a fourth SOTU response, promoted by the Republicans and presented entirely in Spanish by freshman Florida pro amnesty Congressman Carlos Curbelo.

The first thing I thought – actually the second: the first was – how many responses do we need? After that I thought – oh good – a response in Spanish. That will promote the assimilation we preach. read more

Sir Mitt – The Bold

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I have a friend in Texas who owns a business. He tells me that every night illegal aliens sneak into his offices to sleep. On cool nights, they turn up the heat and on warm nights they crank the air conditioner, which costs him a lot of additional money.

He said he went to the authorities and they said that not only would they not do anything to stop them or arrest them, but that he could not beef up the locks on his buildings. The authorities said he could hire security but that they could only observe and not intervene.

Okay – that didn’t happen, although I do have a friend in Texas who does own a business, but he would just shoot anyone trying to break in.

I am however demonstrating that anyone, conservative or liberal would never stand for people breaking into their businesses let alone accept it if authorities told them what they couldn’t do to keep the illegals out.

Yet somehow it’s just fine to allow the same thing happened to our country. It defies logic, yet Mitt Romney, who is rapidly reestablishing himself as the titular head of the establishment Republicans, is officially “on board” the Obama amnesty express – not that he was ever off. read more

Ain’t No Stoppin the Amnesty Train

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The King has spoken! There is no stopping it – mass amnesty. The train is powered up, just waiting at the station for the green light from Obama. Nothing can (or should I say will) stop it. Not the states, which will bear the heavy burden of supporting these millions of “dreamers”, the Congress and certainly not the Senate.

No, this train is leaving the station. Now it’s just a question of when. We all know it will be after the midterms, about a month from now, but regardless of the election outcome, Obama will pull the trigger before year-end.

Recent developments, however, have some calling into question the wisdom of the open border/amnesty policy. You may have heard – it’s a minor ailment, a little something that’s been going around – Ebola.

Some actually have the audacity to say that we should be canceling all flights to and from the affected African countries. Our administration and their supporters think this is just a silly overreaction – that disallowing flights to and from America will just isolate those poor countries and hamper relief efforts. read more

La Raza Makes Demand of Obama

from Breitbart:

On Friday, La Raza President and CEO Janet Murguia demanded that President Barack Obama give executive amnesty and work permits to as many as eight million illegal immigrants afterreports surfaced that Senate Democrats are urging Obama not to unilaterally change the country’s immigration laws before the midterm elections.

Appearing on MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart, Murguia said Obama and Republicans have told illegal immigrants in the past to wait for Congress to act on legislation before complaining that, “and now, there’s some Senate Democrats who are asking us to wait again.”  read more
