If It’s Hillary or Bust – Dems Will Choose Bust

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Can you feel it? Can you feel the disturbance in the force – the dark side? Yes, the Democrat party is beginning to descend into panic mode. Oh sure, like in the antiperspirant ads, they’re not going to allow us to see them sweat, but the Democrat kingmakers have to be closing in on desperation.

They are running out of time, and as has been said, they have no bench – no one to go to if Hillary falters. From the beginning, it was apparently Hillary Clinton or bust.

Now those on both sides have concluded that Hillary will probably not make it to the finish line. And to this I say, welcome aboard. Not to toot my own horn, but regular readers know I have been predicting the inevitable downfall of Clinton from almost day one.

It’s taken some time and a lot of scandal, and she still may whether this, but I’ll stand by my original assessment and say, she will not be the Democrat candidate.

See, Hillary now has two problems. Originally, it was that she is almost universally disliked. Unlike her husband, who everyone knows is a bag of dirt, but still inexplicably likable, she is the polar opposite of Bill. No one likes Hillary. Sure, she has her loyal supporters and backers, but that doesn’t mean they like her. read more

Podcast – Shocker: Republican Leadership Hates Ted Cruz – They All Want You To Hate Donald Trump

In this episode I discuss the courage of Texas Senator and presidential candidate Ted Cruz, for calling out Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, repeatedly calling him a liar, because that’s what he did and that’s who McConnell is. I also discuss The Donald and how he continues to befuddle the left, the pundit class and the smarter than you and me pollsters. They just can’t understand why people love him.

No Love For Hillary – Faux Fear for Jeb

by: the Common Constitutionalist

As we head into this next election cycle (as if it ever really ends anymore), there sure seems to be a lot more angst on the democrat side.

I’ve heard many say there is no one else who can run on the democrat side. It’s a shallow bench. Some pundits have stated that for all her flaws Hillary Clinton is the only major Democrat who can keep the Democratic Party together in this cycle.

I disagree. I think she is actually the one candidate who will not be able to keep the Democrats in their wacky rainbow colored ganja-filled tent.2013 Greenbuild Conference

Need I remind us all that in 2008, Hillary was all they had – until she wasn’t. They needed only a minor groundswell of support to jump ship for someone else. Personally I think that behind the scenes power brokers have probably given up on Hillary, not that she ever had them and I don’t think they like her. They like Bill, but not her. We may later find that they were never going to fully back her.

So far, there’s no evidence to support the theory, except for the lack of enthusiasm from the far left base, which she will need.

I also wonder whether the democrats may be amenable to losing this next election to prevent someone they don’t care for on their side from winning – mainly Hillary. I see no fire from the base for Hillary. I don’t see “Run – Hil – Run” posters. There is no great eruption of support for her. It could indeed be that the dems have hit that proverbial wall, and have just run out of candidates. read more

Hillary Clinton – The Wicked Witch of the West…Wing

by: the Common Constitutionalist

With all the recent news swirling about over Bill Clinton’s trips to orgy island, his many flights to and from, and is rather questionable friendships to dirty old men (birds of a feather and all), many are questioning Hillary’s presidential viability.

It seems most Washington political pundits agree that if Hillary is derailed, this will be the reason.

bush clintonI don’t think that’s it at all, and like some others, I have questioned why anyone should fear Hillary Clinton. In my opinion, if and when she is derailed, it will have nothing to do with her low life philandering faux-husband.

Bill is a known quantity. It’s been no secret who this man was and is still. He’s led a double life for as long as we can remember. He’s a dirt bag womanizer and simultaneously, a likable guy. He has a seedy side, but is also well liked by whom we all consider to be good and honorable people, like the Bush family.

Frankly, I know of no other person alive today who could pull that off. People know he’s a bag of dirt, yet they can’t help but like him. That’s rare.

And for this reason, he won’t be the cause of Hillary’s demise. It really comes down to one thing – likeability. She is simply not likable. read more

For the 2016 Election – Time to Revisit the 10 Cannots

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The 2016 presidential election season has begun and already the left is attacking the Republicans.

walker dunceThey have already begun to tear down our more conservative presidential candidates. Popular Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who has been atop most polls recently, is a perfect example, with the lefts lame attempt to cast him as a dunce due to not completing college. Evidently that has really hindered him as the chief executive of a large state.

Simultaneously, leftist insiders are feeding the press with what they believe to be winning issues for the Democrats. One such issue is income inequality, which we’ve already heard Obama pushing.

Last week the LA Times wrote a piece entitled “Income inequality emerges as a key issue in 2016 presidential campaign.” Has it really? Of course it has, because the left feels it’s a winning issue.

The Times writes that voters have noticed the income gap and cites a Gallup poll released the week prior showing “two thirds of Americans said they were dissatisfied with the way income and wealth are distributed in the U.S.” read more

Where’s Hillary

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Not that I’m complaining, but with the presidential campaign season underway, many are wondering what happened to Hillary Clinton.

Now, you may be thinking – do we have to start discussing the upcoming election? Yes, we all know of several Republicans who appear to be running, but isn’t it just a little early?

Well, it may be, but if you recall, it was eight years ago yesterday, that then Senator Barack Hussein Obama declared.obama

When a campaign season begins, usually at least one or both parties are jam-packed with candidates, all vying for the top spot, or at the very least trying to gain some name recognition. You see this all the time and it can be a bit depressing, particularly for us conservatives who look at Republican polls and see that someone like Jeb Bush is leading in the polls.

But one must remember that name recognition isn’t everything, particularly this early. Jeb Bush may be leading in some polls, but that’s not because he is necessarily the favorite. He is a Bush and everyone knows of the Bush family. That’s name recognition. That’s all it is.

For the same reason Hillary Clinton doesn’t have a recognition problem. In her case it may actually be a hindrance depending on how many people link her back to her dirtbag of a husband, or the Rose law firm, the FBI files, the cattle futures bonanza, Hillarycare, the bimbo eruptions or Benghazi. But what difference do any of those make now – right? read more

We Need a Republican Presidential Fantasy League

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The hot topic of the day usually attracts the commentary of Rush Limbaugh. Yesterday was no different when he spoke of a short video released showing Jonathan Gruber, leftist economics professor at MIT, commenting on the passage of Obamacare, saying: “This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies, okay? So it’s written to do that. In terms of risk-rating subsidies, if you had a law which said healthy people are gonna pay… if you made it explicit that healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed, okay? Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever. But basically that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass.”

Before I continue, it can’t possibly be a mystery how our “best and brightest”, emerging from elite schools like MIT, are so screwed up. Look at who is teaching them. This guy is an economics professor? Is the head of the department Paul Krugman?

Okay, back to it. It seemed as if Gruber was proud of how they pulled it off – as if he admired the administration for their mastery of deceit. Well, he should be proud of the deceit – he was part of it. read more

The Democrats and the Price of Oil

By: the Common Constitutionalist

We’ve all been pleasantly surprised by the drop in gas prices lately. It’s now in the $2.90/gallon range and that’s a good thing.

CBS News reported on a recent Morgan Stanley analysis. “Morgan Stanley predicted that sustained low gas prices could mean households could have as much as $40 billion extra to spend this quarter.” Merry Christmas!

This report was issued in October, before the midterm election, yet never touted by a single democrat. Why?

Well, industry experts claim that increased oil production, mainly domestic, coupled with waning demand due a sluggish world economy has created a supply glut driving prices down, which is great for American voters’ wallets.

Now, does everyone remember Tom Steyer, the enviroweenie billionaire? His super PAC was the single largest campaign donor this election cycle, and every cent went to the democrats. read more

Romney Is NOT the Guy

by: the Common Constitutionalist

A gentleman called in to Rush Limbaugh’s show last Friday. He said his name was Kevin from Fort Myers Florida. He told Rush that he wished for Mitt Romney to run again in 2016 and thought he had a winning formula for Mitt.

Rush was curious and allowed the man to continue. Kevin explained that Romney should hit on “19 things that are affecting the country in the negative”. He said that Romney should insist that “these are the 19 things I’m going to talk about. I’m not going to talk about abortion. I’m not going to talk about this or that.”

He should stick to the mysterious 19 things. I say mysterious, because Kevin never said, or was never given a chance to explain what the 19 things were.

Rush explained to Kevin that the mainstream left-wing media would never allow Romney to drive the bus regarding what topics they may or may not broach. Knowing that the media will do what ever they must to assist in the defeat of Romney or any other Republican, whatever questions Romney insists he will not answer, will be the only ones they ask and write about. read more
