So this is rich, and maybe even a little delicious. After all the identity politics and feminist virtue signalling, not even the first female college football faux-player could save even a black man’s job.
It was my understanding that black football coaches were pretty safe from reprimand and firing. But apparently I’m wrong. Despite being black, Vanderbilt sacked it’s head coach, maybe … just maybe because he sucks and not necessarily because he’s black.
And not even the stunt they pulled, putting in a girl place-kicker for one kick insulated him from the axe. Maybe if she didn’t also suck, things may have turned out differently, but I doubt it.
But hey – at least the article is neither about the stupid pandemic or the election.

Vanderbilt has fired head football coach Derek Mason.
One day after playing the first woman in a Power Five football game, the Commodores announced that they had fired Mason.
He was 27-55 during his time at Vandy, and 0-8 this season.
