White House Ruled by Fear

Obama is an interesting case study of the classic schoolyard bully. The bully controls his turf, his schoolyard. He sets the rules, does what he wants and believes he’s free to push everyone else around.

It’s a familiar environment and he’s comfortable there. But take him out of that comfort zone, place him in another schoolyard, where he has no influence or reputation and he becomes a shrinking Violet, afraid to act for fear that his bluster and bravado might lead to an actual confrontation for which he is neither prepared nor equipped.

This is Barack Obama – domestic policy schoolyard bully. This is what he knows – community agitation. He understands nothing of foreign policy and it scares him to death.

No one outside United States fears or respects him. No foreign entity worries about his IRS, Justice Department, BLM, EPA, etc.

And this is the reason our foreign policy is a shambles. Obama is afraid to lead, afraid to take decisive action outside his own schoolyard.

If memory serves me correctly he couldn’t even make the decision to kill bin Laden. It was Valerie Jarrett who told him to give the order. He won’t take the lead in the Russia/Ukraine conflict because he fears Putin.

Whatever we think the reasoning, his inaction caused the Benghazi slaughter.

And now we discover Obama’s lack of courage caused the death of Foley and Sotloff who were both beheaded on video by ISIS.

What do I mean by Obama caused this?

Well, because the ill-fated Delta force rescue attempt would most likely have been a success, if not for Obama’s fears. According to the Wall Street Journal, here’s what transpired.

The Pentagon received Intel of the likely hostage location in the desert south of Raqqa Syria. In June, Delta Force put together a mock up of the area where the hostages were being held, and began training.

Weeks of rehearsal went by and still no green light on the mission. While Delta was training, the Pentagon drafted an air surveillance plan to monitor any hostage movement in real time.

According to the Journal, they “dropped the plan after concluding the White House wouldn’t approve it”. A White House spokesperson claims the only surveillance request came just prior to the mission. They deny ever rebutting any earlier requests.

Well, I’m sure technically they are right. My opinion is that the request never made it to the White House. Someone in the administration told the Pentagon the request would be denied and not to even bother – thus sparing the White House from saying no. Plausible deniability.

So, with no surveillance, the Pentagon had to rely on informants and ground intelligence.

Well, it turns out that Delta had the right place, but after an hour of searching, found nothing but evidence that the hostages were indeed there, but had been moved, and probably only 72 hours earlier. Without air surveillance, there was no way to discover or monitor that movement.

Undoubtedly, an informant tipped ISIS to the impending rescue and the Americans were moved. In fact, the hostages had been held at that facility for several months and then all the sudden ISIS up and moves them. What a coincidence.

Delta spent weeks rehearsing this mission and was prepared long before finally getting the green light. They had it down cold, estimating the mission time to be no more than 20 minutes. But even after the final pleas to go, Obama took two full days to make a decision.

In my opinion, it was Obama’s dithering and indecision that caused the death of the Americans. Heck, the video beheadings could’ve, at least in part, been retribution for the failed rescue attempt.

But this is what we get when we elect the schoolyard bully, a community agitator, who when tested, repeatedly shows he is both incompetent and spineless, and surrounds himself with but more of the same.

My warning to anyone traveling overseas – you’re on your own. If you get captured, you’re done.
