Gun-Maker Flees New York Over Anti-Gun Laws and Taxes, Moves to Alabama
Gun maker Kimber Arms is abandoning New York, and bringing its nearly 400 jobs to Troy, Alabama, according to reports.
Kimber was founded in Yonkers, New York, and two years ago the company began to look for someplace else other than New York. Now, they are abandoning New York entirely because the state is so anti-gun, anti-business, and anti-constitution.
The company said Troy was chosen for its proximity to engineering schools and the pro-gun, pro-business support of the city and the state of Alabama.
Now the company is looking for as many as 366 new employees from Alabama to man its new 225,000 square-foot manufacturing plant.
Here is the company’s announcement:
Kimber Mfg., is pleased to name Troy, Alabama, as its official corporate headquarters and to announce it is hiring aggressively in all departments. After a carefully planned shift of leadership, R&D and manufacturing resources, Kimber has made substantial progress in the transition to its new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Troy, Alabama. The final step in completing this new facility is adding staff across all departments.
