Hostages Didn’t Deter Obama’s Great Achievement

Obama and Kerry have their precious nuclear deal and it’s hard to tell who’s celebrating more – the administration, the mainstream press/stenographers or the Iranian regime.

I know many are certainly not celebrating. Anyone with any common sense, the entire right wing of our nation, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, as well as all other Middle East oil-producing countries – and certainly not Israel. They have been officially hung out to dry by Obama and the left.

But there are four others who must be beside themselves with anger and anguish. Of course, I’m speaking of the four Americans currently being held hostage by the Iranian regime. I have little doubt that at this point they’ve been told by their captors that “no one is coming to save you. America doesn’t care if you live or die.”

We’ve heard these types of stories throughout our history of American POWs languishing in some enemy hellhole, being told by their captors that they will never be rescued. “Give up hope – no one is coming to save you.”

I also have little doubt that the Iranians have probably told the four Americans how their leaders have capitulated to every demand and not once did your Secretary of State ask for your return. Imagine how you would feel if you heard that news?

Nancy Pelosi was asked: “Do you think the four American hostages being held in Iran should have been released as a precondition to any deal made about Iran’s nuclear program?”

Again, put yourself in the hostages shoes, as you witness her answer, which was, “No, no. It would have been good. But it’s just, no, this is a nuclear deal. This is a nuclear agreement. And I think we have to – I appreciate the fact that since we have a nuclear negotiation and now we have a nuclear agreement that a much brighter light is being shown on the prisoners of conscience in Iran. Security to protect and defend – that’s our first responsibility. Who we are as a nation, that we respect the dignity and worth of every person and that we want those prisoners released and the more attention that is paid to it the better.”

I would think that at that point their hearts would just drop in to their shoes. She went on to change the subject by saying there are, “so many prisoners of conscience throughout the world in so many countries that we have to have dealings with.”

Yes there are, but they’re not Americans! And we also know this isn’t just a nuclear agreement. Not when Iranian President Rouhani publicly states that their achievements are, “beyond the nuclear,” and succeeded in having “aviation sanctions removed.”

In April it was reported that, “French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Secretary of State John Kerry continually conceded to the demands of the Iranian regime throughout the course of the talks. Iranian negotiators said they would not dismantle any nuclear sites, nor would they destroy their centrifuges, and they certainly would not shut down their heavy-water reactor and underground sites. A senior U.S. official revealed that the U.S. delegation immediately gave up their leverage the moment they got to the negotiating table. ‘As soon as we got into the negotiations with them, we understood that any final deal was going to involve some domestic and enrich capability.’”

Yet in 2013 Kerry told Congress the whole point of the agreement was to force Iran to “dismantle its nuclear program.”

And so there they sit – four Americans in an Iranian prison, for all intents and purposes, given up for dead – all for the sake of Obama’s legacy.

What ever happened to the Obama of old – you know – way back in the old days when he said of traitor Bowe Bergdahl – we don’t leave any Americans behind, except if they get in the way of my personal achievements. Then they can rot in prison.
