Have you ever given a speech or even just been talking to someone, and all the sudden become tongue-tied? So much so that you end up mixing two words together or even two phrases? Well, in my opinion, that’s what Republican Florida gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis did, when he uttered the now infamous, “Monkey This Up.” It’s obvious, to me at least, that he combined “monkey around” and “muck this up,” but you be the judge whether or not he is a white nationalist, racist, colonialist, or just a guy who got tongue-tied.
from the Blaze:
GOP nominee Ron DeSantis said ‘monkey this up’ and the left went berserk. You already know why.
During an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Florida gubernatorial candidate Rep. Ron DeSantis made the unforgivable mistake of using of the phrase “monkey this up” to describe the damage his Democratic opponent’s “socialist agenda” might do, including “bankrupting the state.”
To put things into context, DeSantis said his opponent, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D), is an “articulate spokesman for those far left views” and a “charismatic candidate.”
Then, speaking about Gillum’s policies, he said: “The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state. That is not gonna work. That is not going to be good for Florida.”
