Like the seamless transfer of Power, so shall there be a seamless transfer of crisis.
I recently had a rather enlightening discussion with a neighbor regarding Covid lockdowns and mask-ups.
She said, “If I have to wear a mask to keep others safe, I’ll do it. It’s a small price to pay.” I then asked how long she would be willing to do this. Her answer: “For as long as it takes. It’s not a big deal.”
She knows I disagree. She knows I don’t wear a mask, but thinks I do so out of some rebel-without-a-cause mentality.
I explained that she is looking at this issue more through a micro-lens, while I instead am just trying to see the big picture.
I was going to attempt to explain that a perceived “crisis,” shall not curtail by natural, constitutional rights, but I didn’t want to venture that far into the weeds, as it were. At least not at the time.
I insisted, in the kindest way of course, that the powers that be, would not relinquish their new-found authoritarian powers. That they will instead use the Covid mandates as a new benchmark – a new normal – perpetual mask-wearing, shutdowns and lockdowns.
And that “new normal” will be the jumping off point to, as Joe Biden says, “Address the existential threat of our time – Climate Change.”
Joe exclaimed that, “We’re in a Crisis.”
Well of course we are. And as responsible leftists, we can’t let this current crisis go to waste.
Joe added: “Just as we need to be a unified nation in response to Covid-19; we need a unified national response to climate change.”
Pretty good trick, right? First claim we’re “unified,” which means we all agree that universally masking-up and locking down is a good thing, and then just equate two disparate “crises,” as if they are the same and can be “combated” in the same manner.
And what manner is that? Well naturally, by continuing, at the very least, lockdowns and shutdowns.
Most have already read or seen reports that these interminable job and people killing Covid lockdowns have already had a beneficial effect on our “fragile” climate.
“Countries that have been under stringent lockdowns to stop the spread of the coronavirus have experienced an unintended benefit. The outbreak has, at least in part, contributed to a noticeable drop in pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in some countries,” reports NBC News.
“If we can think about how to prepare for climate change like a pandemic, maybe there will be a positive outcome to all of this,” said Christopher Jones, lead developer of the CoolClimate Network, an applied research consortium at the University of California, Berkeley.
And there you have it. They’ve revealed their plan. This will become the new climate change model: “Just think of climate change as a pandemic,” and voila, it’s a pandemic. Simple.
As Climate Depot’s Marc Marano said on Tucker Carlson recently:
“They’re trying to use the Covid lockdown model for the climate emergency model. And they are going to go from COVID lockdowns to climate lockdowns.”
