Rise Up!

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday warned the leaders of both Syria & Iran, they could be next to fall.

Siting the most recent ousting & killing of Lybian leader Moammar Gadhafi, Rumsfeld warned Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad and Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to keep looking over their shoulders. Rumsfeld tweeted, “al-Assad & Ahmadinejad best heed this morning’s news on Gaddafi. Their people may decide they should be next.”

I like Rumsfeld but I differ on the view many still have of this situation. The conventional wisdom is that these events are autonomous, that the people of these countries have all just decided enough is enough. Maybe the conventional wisdom thinkers are right & these do start out as democratic uprisings. Could it be that it is meant to look this way to promote the sympathy & therefore assistance of the west? The saps at Nato & the like do the heavy lifting & voila, we’re left with a power vacuum. What does nature abhor? Yes, a vacuum. In steps the Moslem Brotherhood or some other radical organization to fill it.

Mubarak & Gadhafi

My belief is Iran is behind all of the uprisings. Hosni Mubarak of Egypt was an evil dude but he maintained the peace with Israel for decades. Therefore he was no friend or ally to Iran.

In my opinion, Gadhafi was a loose cannon & couldn’t be counted on to tow the Caliphate line or play second fiddle to the Ayatollah in Iran so off he goes.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei & Ahmadinejad

al-Assad may have a stronger alliance with Iran, so he may be allowed to stay. Time will tell on that one. Ahmadinejad, the leader of Iran, is not the leader of Iran. He is a figurehead. The real chieftains are the so-called spiritual leaders. Old Mahmoud will be allowed to stay on as long as he continues to serve a purpose to supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He & his council control everything.

There is no such thing as a democratic uprising in that region of the world. It wouldn’t be allowed to take hold even if it did start out that way. They were always to be coopted & taken over by radical moslems. We better get our heads around it.

Speaking of democratic uprisings, how about those “Occupy” folks. CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, is joining in the fun. They are going to demonstrate alongside their peaceful brethren, the communists, socialists, anarchists, etc. Have no fear though, CAIR is a pacifistic all-American organization. They won’t be any trouble.

By the way, guess who recently came out in support of the “Occupy” movement. That’s right, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. What a coincidence.

The Most Important thing Ever

More importantly, who’s going to be the next winner of Dancing with the American X Factor Idol Star on Survivor Island.

Just move along. There’s nothing to see here.

Joke of the Day

Ok, I thought this funny altough COMPLETELY untrue.

A family went to a hospital, where one of their relatives would be having a brain transplant.

One of the relatives asked, “What will the cost of a new brain be?” The doctor replied, “A female brain costs $25,000 and a male brain costs $50,000.”

The men smirked, but one of the females asked, “Why is that, doctor?” “Well,” the doctor replied,” the female brain is less because it has been used.”

Jobs for Everyone!

“We must pass the American Jobs Act” commands King Barack. “This bill”, he said, will “put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans.

Joe Biden, who may be the dumbest politician to ever hold office, effectively said if we don’t pass the bill more people will be raped, robbed & murdered. Could you imagine if a republican had said that?

Let’s take a look at just one of the points of the so-called Job creating bill. It gives a $4,000 one time credit to an employer for hiring the long-term unemployed. The employer will not be able to discriminate against the currently unemployed. Sounds great. You, as an employer, will hire a person for a lousy 4 thousand one time credit. That makes good business sense. What assurances are there that you won’t be sued for discrimination if you don’t hire one of these long-term unemployed workers. None! Ambulance chasing lawyers will be lining up for that gig.

Anyway, according to Harry Reid, “It’s very clear that private sector jobs are doing just fine.” So I guess it’s just the public sector that’s suffering.

I’m all for hiring more Police, Firefighters & teachers, etc., if we can afford it. The problem is these are jobs that can’t pay for themselves. By hiring them, you’ve created a job but not wealth. Where does their pay come from? Our taxes. You have to confiscate money from the private sector to pay the people working in the public sector. But wait, these people pay taxes too, don’t they? Doesn’t that contribute to the overall tax base? No, it does not. If anything one could look at their tax contribution as a slight discount of our burden. These are all local issues anyway and the Feds have no business involving themselves.

I recall, during the Clinton administration, Bill touted his 100,000 police hiring initiative. It was a great success. First it never got close to 100,000 policeman. Second, it payed for only one year. What do we think happened? You got it. A lot of unemployed policeman the following year when the cities & towns figured out they were stuck with the bill & couldn’t pay for the additional manpower.

This is the kind of thing that happens when people don’t think things through.

I almost forgot a little statistic Harry Reid left out of his speech about the private vs. public sector. Federal government employees now total 2,128 million, up 13.5% the last two years under Obama. Private sector jobs are down 2.5 million under Obama’s rule. Who’s suffering again?

Let’s face facts. This isn’t about jobs. It never was. It’s about maintaining & growing public sector unions & the dues they pay that are in turn funnelled back to the democrat party. That’s what the last stimulus fund was for & that’s what this one is for. Simple as that.

Joke du Jour

It all began with an iPhone…

March was when our son celebrated his 17th birthday, and we got him an iPhone. He just loved it. Who wouldn’t?

I celebrated my birthday in July, and my wife made me very happy when she bought me an iPad.

Our daughter’s birthday was in August so we got her an iPod Touch.

My wife celebrated her birthday in September so I got her an iRon.

It was around then that the fight started…

What my wife failed to recognize is that the iRon can be integrated into the home network with the iWash, iCook and iClean.

This inevitably activates the iNag reminder service.

I should be out of the hospital next week!!

Oh Good, Another Debate

Well, last night, in fabulous Las Vegas, was debate number 9,006, I think.

I thought Romney was not as smooth as he has been. Everyone has a bad game from time to time. Just ask Tom Brady.

Anyway, he stammered more than usual. Repeating, “Are you going to let me talk?”, got a little old. He’ll have to find a better way to handle that, in my opinion.

Perry looked a little bit angry. My guess is, his handlers told him he had to be more aggressive. One can be aggressive without being angry. Newt seems to pull it off. Perry just doesn’t seem prepared. To me, he appears to not know much. He has his prepackaged energy speech & that’s about it. I’m stunned he has been able to raise as much money as he has. He’ll stay in it because of that.

Cain took the arrows early over his 9-9-9 plan. People like it because is bold & unconventional. He will have to learn how to break it down & explain it better or he may begin to fall back again. He definitely has the “likability” factor. He also has the “relatability” factor. People think of him more as the regular guy of the group. That has & should continue to serve him well.

Someone, I think Santorum, finally brought up the Romneycare advisors & Obamacare connection. Romney simply deflected it by saying, once again, that he’ll repeal Obamacare. There was no follow-up. Unfortunate. Santorum, like Perry, seems angry. He’s getting no traction, so that is probably why. I can’t believe he’ll be able to last much longer.

It does appear to be shaping up as a Romney vs. Not Romney fight. We just don’t have the “Not Romney” guy yet. Notice I said guy. Michele Bachmann can’t last too much longer.
I love her ideas, but her debate skills suck. Her plea to Mothers last night was absurd. Talk about identity politics. It may have resonated with some, but I didn’t care for it. Answer the dang question you’re asked or explain why you won’t. Don’t just go off on a tangent.

Speaking of identity politics, I was happy to see none of the candidates got sucked into the, I’m a Latino, what will you do for us, group-think nonsense.

One thing I noticed throughout all these debates. All but 2 of the Candidates on stage had prepared & practiced statements & retorts. The 2 that didn’t were Ron Paul & Newt Gingrich. Herman Cain spoke somewhat extemporaneously, but not nearly as much as Paul or Gingrich. Why is that & why do I even bring it up? I bring it up because it is an important quality, to be able to think on ones feet, particularly in the heat of battle, as it were.

The two of them don’t get flustered. I agree with Ron Paul on a lot of domestic issues, but he loses me too often, like immigration, foreign policy & a host of others. He is who he is and he’s fine with that & it shows.

In these debates, however, Newt is a man amongst boys. He doesn’t have to prepare like the others & it’s obvious. The old (and true) saying, knowledge is power & knowledge breeds confidence, applies to this guy. Thus far he is the only one that has been able to demonstrate an expertise on every topic. I wouldn’t want to debate him.

And the Winner is………….Newt.

Joke of the Day

Cash, check or charge?” the cashier asked after folding items the woman wished to purchase.

As the woman fumbled for her wallet, the cashier noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.

“Do you always carry your TV remote?” the cashier asked.

“No,” she replied. “But my husband refused to come shopping with me, so I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him.”

We Gotta Walk Down to, Electric Avenue

Cain & Arpaio

Herman Cain is catching a lot of flack for wanting to build a Fence along our Southern Border. So what, you say. Many people have suggested that. Why would he catch more hell than anyone else over it?

Well, this is not your average fence. Cain is proposing it be electrified.

At a stop last Saturday in Cookeville, Tennessee, along his Memphis to Nashville bus tour, Cain had explained how he would secure the U.S. border by building an electrified fence along the southern border of the country that could kill people trying to cross illegally.

The always controversial Joe Arpaio, Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona said, “I got an electric fence; it doesn’t kill people.” Arpairo is controversial because he does his job. He’s not big on Illegal Immigration.

“I’ll tell you one thing that stands out with me, he’s sort of unconventional. “I think that’s refreshing. The way things are going in this country, that’s why the people like him and support him, he’s a new fresh face and he’s telling it like it is. So I kind of respect people who are not typical politicians,” Joe said.

Cain said border security, including the construction of a fence on most of the border, would be a top priority, along with enforcing immigration laws already on the books, empowering states to crack down on illegal immigrants and promoting immigrants to come legally rather than illegally. He explained, “I want to make sure that people will be encouraged to come through the front door, but at the same time we are going to shut the back door and the side door.”

At first he said it was a joke but when pressed by reporters he added, “You are right, I don’t apologize for using a combination of a fence, and it might be electrified,” he said. “I’m not walking away from that.” He went on to say, “What is the beef? This is what I don’t understand,” he said. “That was directed at the people who are trying to sneak into America illegally. Latinos who are here (legally), I believe they deserve the same opportunities of every other citizen,” Cain said.

Of course we have the cacophony of un-American U.S. lawmakers decrying Cain’s comments.

“Whether or not he made his comments in jest, Mr. Cain’s words show a lack of understanding of immigration issues our country is facing and a staggering lack of sensitivity,” said Charlie Gonzalez, head of the 21-member Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Might I digress for a moment? Why in the Hell do we need an Hispanic caucus?

Rep. Ruben Hinojosa, D-Mercedes, Hispanic Caucus vice chairman, also took issue with the GOP presidential candidate’s comments.

“Words like Mr. Cain’s only build hate and prejudice against certain people. That is just plain wrong,” Hinojosa said.

What’s plain wrong is people like you, Mr. Hinojosa, that promote criminal behavior.

“As far as I am concerned, there is no room for Mr. Cain and his poorly thought out ideas of handling U.S. governmental policy,” Hinojosa said. And you guys have done such a spectacular job. It’s exactly the time for ideas such as this.

If Herman Cain meant what he said he should damn the torpedoes & go full speed ahead. Stay on offense. Let others try to explain away their soft positions. If it’s electrified, all the better. If an illegal knows there is a real consequence, he may not attempt it. That sounds like good policy to me.

Wait! I just had a brilliant thought. An electrified fence would be very expensive to run. What if we constructed a Green fence? It could be powered using Solar Panels or Windmills! Who could be opposed to that? I think we have a winner.

The 4 Step Program

The following video may seem a little farfetched, but wasn’t it a lot more so a few years ago. I ask that you watch the entire video & then decide if history is repeating itself.

We are in the Crisis stage right now. Just look all the “Occupy” various city events deliberately disrupting things. These demonstrations will continue to escalate in their intensity & violence. Not by accident, I might add.

This video is decades old. How could this man have predicted the events of today? Simple. History is repeating itself, and as in the past, the throngs of useful idiots don’t know history. They think this is something new and wonderful. A populus uprising. It isn’t. It has been planned & orchestrated by some very bad people from the start. They are the ones that know history. They know the playbook & they’re not going to take no for an answer this time.

As an aside, the Communist Chinese have just come out in support of the “Occupy” movement. That should be a RED flag. Pardon the pun.

Socialists, communists & communist sympathizers have started coming out of the closet they’ve been hiding in since the fall of the Soviet Union. They believe this is their time. They have been educating our youth with soft indoctrination for decades, waiting for this moment in history.

They have every advantage, being that American society is virtually paralyzed with political correctness. Our leaders will allow this to play out, either because they agree with it or are too cowardly to speak out against it.

Finally, unlike the people who put this video together, I don’t believe this is Obama’s endgame. I think he too is a useful idiot & will be disposed of, as will many other angry academics, once his job is complete. Or he may stay on as the good puppet I believe he is currently.

I pray to God I’m wrong about this whole thing. If I’m not, it’s going to get really ugly. Just prepare for the worst.

Joke of the Day

This duck walks into a convenience store and asks the clerk, “Do you have any grapes?”

The clerk says no, and the duck leaves. The next day, the duck returns and asks, “Do you have any grapes?” The clerk again says no, and the duck leaves.

The day after that, the duck walks in the store again and asks “Do you have any grapes?” The clerk screams at the duck, “You’ve come in here the past two days and asked if we had any grapes. I’ve told you no, every time. We don’t have any grapes!

I swear if you come back in here again, and ask for grapes, I’ll nail your webbed feet to the floor!!” The duck left, and returned the next day. This time he asked, “Do you have any nails?”

The clerk replied, “No,” and the duck said, “Good! Got any grapes?”

It’s all just Black & White

Chris Matthews of MSNBC might as well just admit he’s a racist as he attempts to project onto the Republicans. The ones that are supporting Herman Cain only do so to hide their true feelings, don’t ya know. You see, we hate blacks. Of course we would never actually vote for Cain.

I remember years ago people would tell me how brilliant Matthews was. Maybe at one time but he shed that moniker long ago. He thinks of & is driven by one thing; his utter contempt for conservatives & the Tea Party.

No wonder he has almost no one watching him anymore. I may double his viewership on this blog.
