Drugs and Transgenders – Two Sides of the Same Coin

The medical profession, it seems, often succumbs to a pack mentality, just like many other sectors of society.

They appear just as susceptible to peer pressure and intimidation as any other profession. Or maybe it’s just intellectual sloth. Maybe it’s a combination of both.

Two points come to mind. Prescription drugs and the LGBT movement – specifically, the latest fad of transgenderism. They seem unrelated, but they are not.

The opioid epidemic that has a strangle hold on the nation did not begin with drug cartels pushing these “medications” on the unsuspecting.

It started, innocently enough, in the offices of our local physicians.

I have great respect for anyone who dedicates so much of his or her time and effort to the practice of medicine. It’s insanely challenging. However, it seems, as they settle in to their various practices, some doctors become lazy. A patient complains of pain, or depression, or anxiety, or any number of maladies, and are immediately prescribed powerful and additive drugs such as oxycodone (OxyContin®), hydrocodone(Vicodin®), codeine, morphine, Adderall, etc.

Even when a patient balks at accepting the addictive drug, the physician often continues to push.

Instead of looking for other, less damaging solutions, many doctors, either from fear or indifference, seem to take the easy way out and just simply say, “here, take a pill.”

And then once the prescription runs out, the now addicted, turn to illegal “street” vendors. This is what gave rise to the drug cartels.

And it’s all, in my humble opinion, due to the over-prescription of drugs by far too many lazy physicians. That and the aforementioned, pack mentality of the medical community.

Speaking of the pack mentality of the medical community – the same can said of the latest sensation sweeping the nation – the ever-growing wave of men being convinced they are women and vice versa.

The Blaze highlighted one such case of a man, an Army veteran, suffering from “post-traumatic stress disorder” (PTSD) and “severe childhood trauma.”

In 2016, Jamie Shupe won a landmark court case in Oregon which granted him the title of “non-binary” person – neither male or female. He was hailed as a hero by the left.

Unfortunately, he now states how, “out-of-control, transgender activism’ enabled the medical community to indulge his gender fantasies amid a temporary life crisis, a problem he believes is becoming more widespread.”

Shupe writes that, “After convincing myself that I was a woman during a severe mental health crisis, I visited a licensed nurse practitioner in early 2013 and asked for a hormone prescription. ‘If you don’t give me the drugs, I’ll buy them off the internet,’ I threatened.”

“I should have been stopped, but out-of-control, transgender activism had made the nurse practitioner too scared to say no,” Shupe adds.

He says he bought into the “fantasy the transgender community sold me. It’s the lie I bought into and believed.”

He added that in retrospect, what should have happened is for someone, or group of someone’s, to order “intensive therapy.” But they didn’t. “[Instead, the doctors] just kept helping me to harm myself.”

“The truth is that my sex change to nonbinary was a medical and scientific fraud,” and that, “Two fake gender identities couldn’t hide the truth of my biological reality. There is no third gender or third sex.”

It’s about time someone spoke up to this fraud being perpetrated on traumatized individuals by the bullying transgender lobby and the medical community too afraid to speak up against it.

In the end, the opioid epidemic and the fad of transgenderism are just two sides of the same coin.

Both have villains in the form of the radical LGBT community and drug manufacturers, bullying the medical community into doing their bidding. And both have the medical community who are too cowardly or lazy to stand against them and say, enough. What we are doing is wrong. We will no longer participate in these shams and will instead find a different path.
