Trump is a Regulation Slashing Machine

As I have said many times over the past several months – that left to his own, President Trump is getting a lot accomplished, and virtually all of it is conservative-friendly. I’ve also stated ad nauseum, that I wasn’t a Trumpster, but have begun to come around. I will still never be a Trump apologist or mouthpiece. You know – those who go on Fox News and excuse everything the man has ever done, or will do. That’s just absurd.

But let’s give credit where credit is due. With all he’s had to contend with this past year, he’s done a remarkable job. Just imagine where we could be if the establishment would have given up their quest to torpedo his Presidency and come along for the ride.

One thing he’s begun, but not near completed, is government regulatory restraint. It is not as glitzy, and seemingly not as important as elections or scandals, but in fact, it as at least as important, if not more so, in the grand scheme of things.

And why is this? Well, I’ll you why. read more

Beware the Trump Coup

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Pretty much everyone on the left has convinced themselves that it is a fait accompli regarding Trump’s impeachment. One such leftist website recently posted an article claiming that, “Trump‘s impeachment is almost inevitable at this point. There is just too much evidence that he has violated the constitution that he can’t continue to be president. It’s just a matter of time before his own party completely turns on him.”

Depending on how the 2018 midterm election shakes-out, it may be inevitable. If the democrats take back the House of Representatives, you can bet the first thing on their docket will be to present Articles of Impeachment. Heck, they already have.

However, as far as I can see, President Trump’s record thus far is completely untarnished – as being a “big meany” is not a High Crime. To date, the Mueller hit squad has found exactly squat regarding Trump ties to neither Russia, nor anything else that is an impeachable offense. You can bet the farm that if anyone had found something – anything to sink Trump, it would have been leaked. The left has employed every dirty trickster they can find to dig up something that might be construed as “treason, bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors” (Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution). They have not found, nor will they find anything. read more

WND Exclusive – Donald Trump is Making a Believer of Me

With every act – with every presidential proclamation – Donald Trump is becoming the president we’ve been hoping for since the close of Ronald Reagan’s last term. I think he has surprised most everyone.

He has had one of the most historic first years of any president in recent memory. And just imagine what his first year could have looked like if the Republican-controlled legislature weren’t so spineless and spiteful and didn’t have so many liberals in its ranks. Repeal of Obamacare would be a reality, as would more substantive tax relief, and border wall construction would be well underway. It could have and should have been the most consequential year of any presidency going back to our founding. And I don’t say this lightly. read more

Israel Capital Finally Recognized

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday in a televised address from the White House that the United States officially recognizes the city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and will begin moving its embassy there.

“I have determined that it is time to official recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” President Trump said. “While previous presidents have made this a major campaign promise, they failed to deliver. Today, I am delivering.”

He later added: “Today, we finally acknowledge the obvious: that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality. It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done.” read more

Trump May be Becoming the President We Conservatives Wanted

Not Yet – But Maybe Soon!

Despite his constant tweeting, his loud and brash exterior, is President Trump slowly becoming the President we wanted all along? He just may be.

Sure, he may never be the strict Constitutionalist that I have been pining for oh these many years. I don’t reckon another Calvin Coolidge will be rising to prominence any time soon, if ever again.

But the decisions Trump makes without having to include Congress have been impressive. His campaign platform was replete with conservative ideas. Tax cuts were his idea. He chose supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch. Deportation of illegals was his idea, as was the construction of an actual border wall – not just lame picket fence, or a hollow promise. Unlike Congress, he actual does want to repeal ObamaCare.

Renegotiation of trade deals to be more beneficial to America is his idea. Backing out of the Paris Climate hoax was all him. Dealing more harshly with Iran and North Korea – him. Vetting of refugees, etc. The list grows larger seemingly every day. And they are all good ideas that get lost in the tone and tenor of his presentation. That, and the constant yapping of the “purse dogs” in the press.

And now he has just done something that should impress even the hardest-core federalist. read more

Video Podcast – How to Pay for Infrastructure

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Today I discuss the nation’s infrastructure that is apparently in need of a serious upgrade – at least according to the current administration.

The question is how we pay for the new massive public works program. Well, some have floated the idea of increasing the gas tax by seven cents a gallon.

I explain why this is a bad idea, as is the reasoning behind it and whether we even should. read more

Mueller Indictments are Old News

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Monday night on his radio program, Mark Levin raised some rather compelling points and posited some interesting questions regarding the 12 count indictments “Special Council” Robert Mueller and his dream team of hack lawyers.

I’ve said many times that I am not a Trumpster, but the American people should not allow the President to be railroaded.

But as should be patently obvious, and should’ve been from the get-go, Mueller was selected to do one thing – bring down Trump. Or if that is not possible, damage him badly enough as to render him completely ineffective.

One can tell that Mueller has taken his task seriously, judging by his choices of attorneys on his dream team.

In September, Business Insider hailed the choices saying, “Mueller’s team boasts a storied amount of experience both prosecution and criminal defense, hailing from prestigious law firms like WilmerHale to top spots within various divisions of the Justice Department.”

Yes – they have plenty of experience dealing with the criminal element, as virtually all of them are former Obama or Clinton hacks and had donated to both their campaigns. Some clerked for the most leftist supreme Court justices, yet not a single one clerked for any conservative justice. Weird. read more

Two RINOs Down – Don’t Let the Door Hit You

Conservatives should be encouraged by events of the last month or so. So far two RINO Republican Senators have announced that they will not seek reelection in 2018.

Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee, who sports a solid ‘F’ Liberty Score, announced on September 26 that he is packing it in.

For those unfamiliar, the Conservative Review “Liberty Score” is a letter grade, ranging from A to F, signifying a legislators’ conservative voting record. A is a Constitutionalist, ala Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and F is a RINO, ala too many Republicans to name.

Despite what Corker said when he first won his Senate seat – that he couldn’t imagine serving more than two terms – I believe he wouldn’t have considered retirement should Hillary have won.

As we witnessed over the last several years, it’s much easier to fake being a real Republican when a democrat is in the White House. How many ObamaCare repeal bills were passed through both Houses? It’s virtually effortless to look conservative when you know Obama will just veto every measure. read more

Dirty Clinton Paid for Dirty Dossier

from the Daily Mail:

Hillary Clinton‘s campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped bankroll research that led to the ‘golden showers’ dossier on Donald Trump.

Clinton’s campaign lawyer Marc Elias hired research firm Fusion GPS back in April 2016 to look into allegations of Trump’s ties to Russia, according to the Washington Post.

Fusion GPS, the Washington-based research firm, then hired former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele to dig up the unconfirmed dirt on Trump.

Clinton’s lawyer and his law firm Perkins Coie continued to fund the research until October 2016 – just days before the presidential election.

The research was previously funded by an unknown anti-Trump Republican donor during the primary, but Clinton’s campaign then paid for it to be finished.

Sources would not confirm how much was paid to Fusion GPS, but said the campaign and DNC shared the cost.  read more
