Is the Trump Deal with Carrier a Good Thing

“The holidays came early this year for workers at a Carrier furnace plant in Indiana, who learned on Tuesday that 800 of their jobs would not be moving to Mexico after all,” wrote the New York Times.

Trump and VP-elect Mike Pence, who is still governor of Indiana, “cut a deal with Carrier, a division of United Technologies, to keep the jobs in the state.”

Although the deal has been widely publicized, the specific terms have not, beyond claiming that, “the State of Indiana has reportedly offered the company $7 million in tax breaks over 10 years to keep the jobs in the state.”

It’s interesting that, so far, no one on the right appears to be curious about the details of the meeting or the deal – just that Trump saved 800 or so American jobs, while those on the left, like the New York Times, are too busy trying to convince us that the jobs were saved by government.

Those on the right are correct. Without the Trump/Pence intervention, these 800 jobs would be lost. However, as much as it pains me to say that the New York Times is also correct, they write, “In making the deal, Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence have embraced the idea that the government does indeed have a role to play in the free market.” read more

Leftist Proposes that Graduates Refuse to Pay all Student Loan Debt

The ultra-radical website, the Nation, posted an article  on ways to protest and combat president-elect Trump. Yes, still 2-1/2 months until his inauguration, and left is already devising ways to defeat Trump’s agenda. No one truly knows what his agenda will be yet, but that makes scant difference to the whiners of the left.

However, they admit that, “if we expect to protest Donald Trump into submission, then we’ve grievously misjudged our opponent. Gee – it sounds a lot like they hope Trump will fail.

Imagine if someone from the right said this about Obama. Oh – that’s right – someone did. Recall Rush Limbaugh said of Obama in 2008: “I hope he fails.” And recall the wails of discontent, as if Rush wanted Jesus to fail – although to the left, Obama was their Jesus.

The author, Ravi Mangla explains that the best way to resist Trump is not to, but instead, to distract him. He tells the reader to, “Run wild circles around him in a hall of mirrors. Set fires and leave him to put them out. Each time he thinks he’s cleaned up the mess, make a new one.” Yes, that’s real constructive. Of course, these radicals no nothing of being constructive. Rabble-rousing – setting figurative (and literal) fires is the only thing they know. read more

Is This Draining the Swamp?

So what’s up this? Trump hires Mitch McConnell’s wife?

from the Blaze:

Throughout the final weeks of his presidential campaign, Donald Trump ran on a promise to “drain the swamp” in Washington, D.C. But on Tuesday, the president-elect seemed to ditch at least part of his commitment.

Sources with Trump’s transition team revealed Tuesday that he had selected Elaine Chao, wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), to be his transportation secretary. read more

The Midnight Ride of Barack Revere

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The Republicans are coming! The Republicans are coming! Such is the cry echoing through the halls of the White House and offices of Obama’s unelected regulatory bureaucrats.

Now that Donald Trump has vanquished Hillary and the Republicans maintain control of the House and Senate, reports are that Obama is set to ram through 98 additional Executive actions and regulations, also known as “Midnight Actions,” before leaving office. I’m shocked…that it’s only 98.

“Federal agencies are rushing out a final volley of executive actions in the last two months of Barack Obama’s presidency, despite warnings from Republicans in Congress and the reality that Donald Trump will have the power to erase much of their handiwork after Jan. 20,” reports the Politico. read more

Threatening Letter Sent to Mosques Most Likely Another Hoax

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Yesterday reported that a letter was sent to three California Mosques threatening violence against Muslims.

The report stated that, “the same handwritten, photocopied letter was sent last week to the Islamic Center of Long Beach, the Islamic Center of Claremont and the Evergreen Islamic Center in San Jose.”

The letter, addressed to “the children of Satan,” begins by describing “You Muslims” as being “vile and filthy people,” but, “your day of reckoning has arrived. There’s a new sheriff in town – Donald Trump,” and he will “cleanse America and make it shine again. And, he’s going to start with you Muslims.” It is signed by “Americans for A Better Way.”

These are indeed some serious threats – so serious that the police, the FBI or other law enforcement should have been the first to be notified. This would the logical approach after receiving such a menacing correspondence. You would think so, but no. read more

Podcast – Take a Breath Over Trump’s Shifting Rhetoric – Surge in Illegal Crossings

Can we just calm down and take a breath regarding what Trump is now saying compared to what he claimed on the campaign trail and during the debates with Hillary. Trump will be the only complete unknown elected official in Washington. Despite what “experts” claim, no one has a clue what he will do, so why waste time worrying about it. He should receive, by everyone, a 100% clean slate going in. After he makes some actual decisions on policy, we can either applaud him for keeping his word, or call him out for not.

It’s being reported that there has been a huge surge of illegal alien crossing over the past month or so, with almost 50,000 apprehended in the month of October alone. Could it that the flood of illegals is due to the election Donald Trump? Could be. Perhaps illegals read the New York Times and are convinced that if they make it here, all will be forgiven. read more

How to make Trump more popular

How would one make Donald Trump more popular? By doing everything the left is currently.

Riots have simultaneously sprung up in city after city across our country. For days, so-called “protesters” have taken to the streets of Portland, Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas, NYC, as well as many more, even including Salt Lake City.

The leftist press, like CNN, insists on continuing to call these uprisings, protests. “Thousands protesting Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election took to the streets for a third night of demonstrations and vigils in several U.S. cities,” dutifully reports CNN. read more

The Left is Fast Losing Its Mind

A few days ago a video was posted of a Texas woman tossing her young son to the curb with a suitcase she had packed for him. The reason, as most are already aware, was that the little kid, probably no more than seven or eight years, voted for Donald Trump in mock election at school.

The answer he gave to his loving, sainted Mother was that he saw Trump on TV several times and recognized him. The so-called mother, who in my opinion, is typical of a brain dead democrat, told the poor little kid: “Since you voted for Donald Trump. You can get your sh** and get out. Get your suitcase and get out! We don’t do Donald Trump here.”

Ah yes – another representative of the tolerant left shows her true colors. Not unlike the many spoiled Hollywood wienies who threatened to leave the country and emigrate to Canada should Trump prevail. Of course, that’s when they were sure Hillary would win. How courageous of them. We’re still waiting for them to “get their sh** and get out.”

Of course this won’t happen, as they have no courage, nor any real conviction. I find it similar to the leftists who protest the many “injustices” throughout the world, but choose only to do so within the safety of our borders, where they know no harm will come to them. read more

Podcast – Will the Wall be Built – Hillary a Fraud to the End – Muslim Student Attacked by Trump Supporter

The Trump team says construction on the Southern Border wall will commence in March of 2017. This is sure welcome news, and Louie Gohmert is thrilled with initiative of the Trump folks. But we’ve been down this road before.

A snapshot of a beaming Hillary Clinton was taken in the woods in Chappaqua, near the Clinton’s home. A woman just happened by and the two posed for a picture together. Innocent enough – but this is the Clintons, where everything they do is planned and staged.

In Louisiana, a poor, innocent little Muslim student was attacked by Trump supporters – beaten and robbed. The attackers, one wearing a Trump hat, stole her wallet and tore the hijab right off her head – taking that too. Tragic, isn’t it? Not really. read more

We May All Become Trumpsters Soon

He may be loud, brash and boorish at times, but if Donald Trump can achieve even a fraction of what he is claiming to wish to accomplish early in his presidency, he will become as popular as Ronald Reagan.

Yes, I realize this is a bit of a stretch, considering it’s still a few months before his first day. It’s like saying that after only eight games, the new Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Dak Prescott, could become the next Tom Brady. It’s a huge stretch to place either of the former names in the same category of the latter, but anything is possible.

Okay, you may be saying – what’s with the newly discovered love for the The Donald? Is he not the same guy that I could not support and just recently decided to vote for? Well…yes and no.

Yes – I didn’t care for the campaign he ran, which was short on policy and long on garishness. I’ll admit it worked, but I still didn’t care for it. But recently Trump released his first 100 day plan, along with his “first day in office” plan, causing me to change my view.

To me, this is not the same guy, which may have been his plan all along. Like an actor, he may have the public Trump persona and the private policy wonk side that he purposely kept tucked away. It’s beginning to appear this way. read more
