The Man who Knew both of our Most Beloved Presidents

from WND:

The patriot who knew both Washington and Lincoln

John Quincy Adams

On Feb. 21, 1848, “Old Man Eloquent” John Quincy Adams suffered a stroke at his desk in the House chamber. He had just given an impassioned speech against the Democrat plan to expand slavery into the Western territories acquired after the Mexican-American War. He died two days later without regaining consciousness. A bronze marker on the U.S. House floor indicates where the desk of John Quincy Adams once stood.

John Quincy Adams was the only U.S president to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives after having been president, serving as a Congressman from Massachusetts from 1830 to 1848.

Nicknamed “The Hell-Hound of Slavery” for relentlessly speaking out against slavery, John Quincy Adams single-handedly led the fight to lift the gag rule which prohibited discussion of slavery on the House floor. read more

WND Exclusive – DEMOCRATS’ SEMANTIC ABSURDITY OVER BORDER WALL

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Words mean things. And to Democrats, words are the only thing, which is why they are literally tying themselves in semantic

knots over the southern border.

A few weeks ago, McClatchy News wrote, “There’s a strong constituency among Democrats for border barriers. Just don’t call it a concrete wall. While Democrats will not specify what they might propose next, one big clue came from [James] Clyburn [D-S.C.], a close Pelosi ally. Semantics matter, which is why he’s calling enhanced security a ‘smart wall.’” read more

Hatred of Jews and Blacks Defy Logic

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Have you ever wondered why racists are who they are? Why are blacks hated so by them? It makes no sense. Is it just their skin color? Are they perceived as some sort of threat to the white race?

All the reasons one can conjure up defy logic.

Yet there is another race of people, with a parallel history of slavery to freedom, who are more reviled than the black race. Of course I’m referring to the Jews and the nation of Israel.

Like racists, anti-Semites and haters of Israel appear to have to make up reasons just to continue to hate the tiny nation.

When the anti-Semitic radical, Democrat Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, granted several interviews to Jew and Israel-hating TV host, Ahmed Tharwat, it got scant attention from the main stream media. If not for the Daily Caller, we might not know about it. read more

A Half Time Void of Social Justice

Well, the Super Bowl has once again, come and gone, and my New England Patriots have won their gazillioninth big game. Tough break to all you haters.

But did anyone give a single thought to Colin Kaepernick or his dopey, take a knee for social justice, during the game?

The overwhelming majority of those who watched would, I’m sure, admit that the thought never entered their minds.

One of those at the party I attended did mention it, but only in passing. When the Pipless Gladys Knight sang the National Anthem, the sideline cameras panned over the players who were all dutifully standing side by side. Many stood with their eyes closed, many with hands over their hearts, and a few singing along, but all stood.

One of my friends simply asked if everyone was standing. We all confirmed that to be the case, and that, as they say, was that. There was no need for further comment or discussion. read more

Podcast – College Professor Suspended for Enforcing Rules

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

This past November, an incident occurred at the University of Texas, San Antonio. A student, Paige Burgess, who just happened to be black, was escorted out a lecture hall by campus police.

She was evidently being disruptive in class and putting her feet up on the chairs in front of her. Her biology professor, Anita Moss, who just happened to be white, had warned her, and the entire class, of such behavior – keep their feet of the chairs, talking to one another during lectures, cell phones, etc., and to “be respectful in class.”

No disciplinary action was taken toward the student, but the professor was suspended … twice for merely attempting to enforce the school’s rules. read more

MLK and Many Black Leaders were Republicans

At the beginning of the week, I wrote, in honor of MLK Day, that Dr. King undoubtedly supported a secure Southern border. You Image result for MLK was Republicanmay review it here.

Unsurprisingly, I got a little flack for it from a few on the left.

Yet I don’t know why it’s so surprising. It’s no more a revelation than that Dr. King was a Republican. According to his niece, Dr. Alveda King, MLK was Republican.

This should be a surprise to no one who knows the unvarnished history of America – who advocated for black Americans and who didn’t.

Somehow history has been rewritten. Check that. We know how. I believe it can be traced back to the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for before that time, most blacks were Republicans, and for good reason.

But we’ve been taught that the Democrats are the party of civil rights, of minority empowerment and Republicans are racists. It’s irrefutable! read more

Don’t Believe the Left Concerning Dr. King’s Stance on Immigration

Yesterday was a day of remembrance for all Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did to advance the cause of racial equality in America.

Unfortunately, over the years his message of unity has been hijacked by the radical left. So much so that a white conservative is no longer even allowed to quote his words verbatim without being pilloried by the media and leftist activists.

Take, for example what Vive President Mike Pence said on MLK day. When speaking of border security, Pence quoted a single line from King. “…now is the time to make real the promises of democracy.” He dovetailed that sentiment into a call to democrats to, “Come to the table in a spirit of good faith. We’ll secure our border, we’ll reopen our government.”

This simple quote sparked a visceral reaction from the left including King’s son, Martin Luther King III. read more

Black Lives Matter Places Bounty on Police Flags

from the Blaze:

Pro-police flag in viral photo of fallen officer called ‘blatantly anti-black’; Black Lives Matter puts ‘bounty’ on flags

Image may contain: 1 person, standing

Having completed her field training just before Christmas, 22-year-old rookie officer Natalie Corona — called a “rising star” for the Davis, California, police force — was gunned down in the line of duty Thursday.

Amid the outpouring of grief, a photo of Corona wearing a blue dress and waving the pro-police “Thin Blue Line” flag — which she posted to her Facebook page in 2016 — went viral.

“I would like this photograph to serve as my gratitude for all those law enforcement men and women who have served, who are currently serving, and those who have died in the line of duty protecting our liberties in this great country,” Corona wrote. read more

No Contrition Over the Houston Shooting Incident

How could they have been so wrong? I mean, for all the supposed “witnesses” to Jazmine Barnes’ seemingly random killing to be 100% wrong is incomprehensive in any other setting and in any other scenario.

What we thought we knew

And by that, I mean days ago, not decades ago.

It was 6:30 A.M. Sunday, December 30, 2018. It was still dark in Houston Texas. LaPorsha Washington drove her four daughters, including 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes, in the family’s silver car to the local Walmart near Houston. Jazmine was seated in the back directly behind her mom.

“Fifteen-year-old Alexis Dilbert, Washington’s oldest daughter, was sitting in the front passenger seat when she noticed a red truck pull up beside their vehicle. She described the driver as a blue-eyed white man wearing a black hoodie and looking sickly. The family, who is black, didn’t give the truck a second thought until it changed lanes, moving around from behind to the driver’s side of Washington’s vehicle and the driver opened fired. Washington was hit by gunfire in her arm. Jazmine was shot in the head and died at the scene.” read more

Video Podcast – Politics vs. Humanity

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

**Update** It’s been brought to my attention that segment 2 of this podcast is grainy and out of focus. My efforts to rectify have been unsuccessful. I apologize.

This story isn’t political. Okay the first half is. The second half has no political message, just a human message.

Segment one is of a Costa Rican retreat where whites are not invited or admitted. The retreat is only for people of color to take a break from white people.

Segment two is a story of kindness, generosity and color-blindness. It is decided not political. The juxtaposition of the two is fascinating. read more
