Did Trump Win Also Win the Popular Vote?

from IBD:

Late in 2016, we created a stir by suggesting that Donald Trump was likely right when he claimed that millions of noncitizens had illegally voted in the U.S. election. Now, a study by a New Jersey think tank provides new evidence that that’s what happened.

Last November, just weeks after his Electoral College win that gave him the presidency, then President-elect Donald Trump tweeted, “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

The reaction was angry and swift, with the left accusing him of being an “internet troll” and of hatching a “Twitter-born conspiracy theory.”

At the time, we noted that a group called True The Vote, an online anti-voter-fraud website, had claimed that illegals had cast three million votes last year. The media and left-wing groups immediately portrayed True The Vote as a fringe group with little credibility. read more

We are Witnessing the Implosion of the Democrat Party

When you’re winning, you never argue amongst yourselves. Winning cures all ills. Everyone likes everyone else. All is forgiven, etc.

For decades the democrats controlled Washington, D.C. The dems consistently won. At times, they had all three branches of government. Other cycles would see them control the presidency and maybe one House or the other. Regardless, they were winning.

Sure they would outwardly complain about Republicans, but we never saw any infighting. As Rush Limbaugh has stated on many occasions – even when things looked not as good for them, nobody circled the wagons like the democrats. In other words, they never turned on each other.

Interestingly, when you’re consistently losing year after year, the same applies. Throughout those same decades, the republicans seemed satisfied with, or at least tolerant of losing. They weren’t good at circling the wagons around one of their own, but still, there was little infighting.

Look at the biggest losers in the NFL. We never hear of fights breaking out at the Cleveland Browns or Jacksonville Jaguars facilities. Why? Because they are preeminent losers and are used to the role. Players that have been with one of these teams a while understand that there is no expectation of winning a Super Bowl, making it to the playoffs or even posting a better than .500 record. read more

The Left Admits Trump had Nothing to do with Russian Hacking

by: the Common Constitutionalist

On March 7, 2017 Politicus USA reported that Rachel Maddow of MSNBC “Drops Major Reality Check: Trump-Russia Collusion Looks Increasingly Likely.” Well of course it did, except that it didn’t. In fact Trump had zero knowledge of Russian hacking.

Well, that’s a pretty bold statement. How is it that you are so sure? I actually wasn’t until I saw this.

Late last week The Hill wrote a piece entitled simply, “Maddow: ‘Absolutely’ possible Trump didn’t know about Russia hacking.”

Now you might be saying to yourself – Mr. Constitutionalist – you may call me Common – you and most other conservatives never believe a word that comes from Rachel Maddow – and for good reason. Yet all of a sudden you conclude she is now telling the truth? What gives?

The left wants president Trump impeached, shackled and perp-walked out of the White House. This is their fantasy. They want it so bad that they’ve crafted an entire narrative around this fantasy. They will never get over losing to such a buffoon.

So they came up with this Russia collusion story. It got traction and with the help of all the media and the weak-kneed Republicans giving them everything they wanted, it really began to take off. read more

Podcast – Can Ted Nugent Keep His Vow of Civility

Uncle Ted Nugent

The other day Uncle Ted Nugent, the Motor City Mad Man went on a radio show and promised to become more civil, even saying he would walk away rather than engage in hateful rhetoric.

We can all hope to do such a thing. The problem is, this is all the left knows. Via Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, this is all the left has ever learned. And personally I see no signs of them giving this up. We can vow to be more civil, but don’t expect the left to follow suit.

They know of no other way to achieve power and control but to demonize the right. Don’t be surprised in the coming weeks or months if Uncle Ted is tested to live up to his vow – or walk away. read more

Wal-Mart has Turned to Cronyism to Compete

from IBD:

Main Street” is Americana. Literally, it’s the primary road in a town, but culturally it’s much more than that. Main street is synonymous with mainstream, but it also evokes core American ideals like fairness — that the rules are the same for the “average Joe” as they are for wealthy corporations.

In recent years, Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) has tried to appropriate “Main Street” into the names of various lobbying campaigns it’s funding. First, it was the “Alliance for Main Street Fairness,” a Wal-Mart-led coalition to impose price controls on payment fees.

Now the company is behind the “Main Street Energy Alliance,” a group of companies who are working to convert the government’s ethanol quotas into a weapon against their competitors. read more

Comey’s Testimony was Nothing to Crow About

by: the Common Constitutionalist and The Hill.com

Since I have a day job, I was not afforded the opportunity to sit and view fired FBI Director James Comey’s public testimony on the Hill yesterday.

I would not have anyway, figuring it would a nothing-burger. I was right. From what I can glean, Comey didn’t offer any further enlightenment or bombshells. It seems to be just a rehashing of his written statement, and everything that has trickled out over the past several months.

Basically that he was a scared girly-man, afraid of big bad President Trump. Maybe he thought one of his private meeting would result in the President body-slamming him ala Greg Gianforte.

From what I understand, he was so concerned about the lack of the President’s character, that he felt the need to run out of his meetings with Trump and type a detailed recollection of every word that was said on a laptop in his car. No doubt he has an eidetic memory, so no one should question the word-for-word accuracy of his accounting. And oddly enough, I don’t think anyone did. I also don’t think anyone asked if the memo (s) he leaked to a reporter were his, or more likely, the property of the FBI, typed on an FBI laptop, in an FBI vehicle. I think we would have heard that exchange, which is why I don’t believe he was asked.

Still, as I did not have a chance to view Comey’s testimony, nor will I, I left the after-action analysis to Kayleigh Mcenany of The Hill.com

OPINION: Dems’ dreams dashed as Comey testimony clears Trump
© Greg Nash

from the Hill:

The much-anticipated day had finally arrived. Democrats breathlessly awaited the testimony of fired FBI Director James Comey, certain that his testimony would topple Trump.

But high hopes turned to dashed dreams when Comey’s testimony cleared President Trump. Not only did the testimony vindicate the commander in chief, it included a startling revelation that Obama-era Attorney General Loretta Lynch attempted to influence the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Here are the five facts that emerged from the Comey hearing and shattered Democratic dreams:

Yay – Another Lawyer for FBI Director

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Scroll Down for Audio Version

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will nominate Christopher A. Wray to be the next director of the FBA.

FBA? Is that a typo? Don’t you mean FBI? No-No I don’t – not anymore.

It’s been a long time since we had an actual G-Man as head of the agency. Now, it may as well be called the Federal Bureau of Attorneys.

So what makes this guy, or any lawyer qualified to head the country’s premier crime fighting agency? Absolutely nothing, as I can see.

Looking at the FBI website, one can see the range of capabilities and services. There is of course the famous FBI’s Ten Most Wanted, the also famous FBI lab services. There’s a section pertaining to the FBI Academy and the Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). These are the tactical operators, hostage rescue guys. There’s the National Criminal Database, the Strategic Information and Operations Center (SIOC) and the cyber-crime division.

I’m still looking, but somehow I just can’t locate what I’m looking for. But I can’t and won’t find it because it isn’t there. And what isn’t there? Anything that has anything to do with legal services. That’s what isn’t there. read more

WND Exclusive – Are you, too, a ‘Declarationist’?

1864 Two Cent Coin

Memorial Day has come and gone. I hope you all sought out the family of one of our fallen heroes or at least said a prayer on their behalf.

Now we’re into summer, though not technically, and America’s next great celebration is on the horizon – that of our nation’s independence.

We in America, and certainly us political wonks, write and speak constantly of the United States Constitution. We may do so often that it can sometimes seem tiresome to listen to – even for other fans of the Constitution. Not that I hear this from my friends and family or anything. read more

First Arrest Made In Hacking Investigation!

from The Daily Mail:

The feds have leveled the first charges against an individual in connection with leaks related to Russian election hacking.

The government has charged Reality Leigh Winner, 25, a Georgia intelligence contractor, with passing secret documents to the media.

‘Winner is a contractor with Pluribus International Corporation assigned to a U.S. government agency facility in Georgia,’ according to a government criminal complaint.

‘She has been employed at the facility since on or about February 13, and has held a Top Secret clearance during that time.

‘On or about May 9, Winner printed and improperly removed classified intelligence reporting, which contained classified national defense information from an intelligence community agency, and unlawfully retained it.’

WND Exclusive – After Montana, will Dems Rethink Early Voting?

Democrats have always been the party of early voting. That’s fitting, considering early voting is a joke, just like the Democratic Party. But now, thanks to the result in the recent Montana congressional race, some on the left may be rethinking the whole early-voting process.

Voting is something most Americans take for granted, if we think about it at all. But to citizens of many countries around the globe, it is a high honor and privilege. Recall the celebrations and elation of the people of Iraq who triumphantly waved their purple ink-stained fingers in the air. It was a sign of their first ever opportunity to vote in a free election, where no one was guaranteed 99 percent of the vote. (The other 1 percent was never heard from again.) read more
