Power Insists She was not the Only Unmasker

from Constitution.com:

The investigation into the Obama administration’s unmasking of innocent American citizens continues to move forward, but also continues to grow more convoluted. In recent weeks we’ve learned that former United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power was responsible for requesting Americans be “unmasked” some 260 different times during her final year in the administration. It’s an odd realization because Power was not leading one of our intelligence agencies, or working in an investigative role, why would she need such highly classified intelligence?

On Tuesday, the lead House investigator, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) who heads the House Intelligence Committee told Fox News that she may not have done it at all. read more

A Little Justice comes to College Campuses

It’s been a busy news week, with headlines being dominated by the ridiculous flap over the NFL and their spoiled and apparently oppressed players – who are also part of the 1 percent.

If you had little interest in that, there was also the unsurprising stand-out victory of Judge Roy Moore over Luther Strange. Congrats to Alabama voters for not buying the bullcrap Strange, Trump, Pence and McConnell were selling. Although I believe Trump was sold a bill of goods and Pence was obligated to “have his back.”

But this is what elections are supposed to look like in America – where the good guy wins – or at least the better guy. Mo Brooks what the best guy – Judge Moore, the good guy – and Doctor Strange, the establishment villain. He’s not a real doctor. That’s a play on words.

But through the noise of the headlines, there was an important and little reported event that happened recently regarding higher education and beating back the politically correct takeover of American colleges. That is, if it’s not already too late.

Late last week, lacking much fanfare, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, figuratively tore up  the Obama-era “rules on how colleges should deal with accusations of sexual assault and issued new interim guidelines on the hot-button issue.” read more

Podcast – Trump and Obama have Something in Common

Both Obama and Trump have made exclamations regarding initiatives important to them. However, one’s words were of no account and the other, the exact opposite.

Trump’s order is a travel ban. No it’s not. Trump’s order is a Muslim ban. No it’s not. Yes it. It definitely is a travel ban. Trump said so.

This sounds exactly like what Obama said about his signature healthcare bill some eight years ago. It’s a penalty. No it’s not. It’s a tax. No it’s not. It’s definitely not a tax. Obama said so.

The Court didn’t take Obama’s words into account back then, when the supreme Court ruled it was not a penalty, as Obama insisted, but a tax.

Yet now the Courts only rule on Trump’s words. Sounds like a double standard. read more

Jeff Sessions Ends DOJ Handouts for Leftist Groups

from Breitbart:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a new policy on Wednesday that prohibits payouts to third parties in settlements reached by the Justice Department.

The announcement came in a memorandum to all U.S. attorneys and Justice Department leaders.

For decades, through a variety of initiatives, the DOJ has insisted on donations to third parties as part of the settlements it reaches with defendants, especially corporations. In the Obama administration, this practice took on the character of a “slush fund,” which funneled hundreds of millions of dollars from these corporate defendants and put it into the hands of non-government organizations. read more

Podcast – Liberal Media Shields Democrat Criminal – Should a President Receive a Pension – Venezuelan Protesters Throwing Poo Bombs

The New York Times must have been compelled to report on the conviction of one of their own, former U.S. Congresswoman Corrine Brown, but did their best to never mention that she is a Democrat. They can’t wait to announce when Republicans go up the river, but hid the fact that Brown was a liberal hack Dem.

It was decided long ago that a former President will receive a pension. If this is the case, it should not be tied to whether or not they choose to cash in after they leave office. It should not be political.

In Venezuela, protesters have taken to throwing anything they can when clashing with police. They’ve design a new weapon – called the poopootov cocktail.

Free speech has been on the lips of many these days. In conservative circles, it has usurped most other news. To some extent it should, for without it, where would we be?

Of the many free speech issues, none has received more press than has the UC Berkeley vs. Anne Coulter flap. This issue goes to heart of free speech and the Constitution.

The right claims that Ms. Coulter has the right to speak and that her “speech” should be protected, just as any leftist speaker would be. Of course at Berkeley, a leftist speaker would more likely be canonized than protested and shut down.

While the issue of Anne Coulter’s right to speak at Berkeley and her guaranteed safety is an important one, a recent Trump appointment that may affect all our free speech should be getting a lot more press than the college speaking circuit. read more

Remember when Barack Hussein Obama could do no wrong? I do, because it wasn’t too long ago. For eight long years we on the right suffered as Obama did whatever he pleased. And during this time there was not a single disparaging word from left.

But on January 21st, 2017, everything changed.

For a period, Obama vanished – went off to one after another vacation. But these weren’t just any old outings. These were luxury vacations with billionaires and beautiful people, in far-away places you or I could not hope to go.

But that’s not the only thing that changed on January 21st – the day after Trump was inaugurated. That date mark the start of a new campaign season.

I know what you’re thinking and probably saying out loud. We just finished. Can’t we get a break already? No – no we can’t. You might also be thinking that the 2018 midterms are still a ways away. Why do they need to begin so early? read more

Interesting Points About Sanctuary City Judge

from Heavy.com:

A United States district court judge has just blocked part of President Donald Trump’s executive order on sanctuary cities.

Judge William Orrick on Tuesday granted a nationwide injunction, blocking the Trump administration from following through on its threat to take away federal funds from cities that do not comply with national immigration laws, according to CNN.

William Orrick is 63 years old, and he is from San Francisco, California. According to his Senate confirmation hearing, he is married, and he and his wife Carolina have three daughters: Sarah, Libby, and Catherine.

Here’s everything else you need to know about Judge William H. Orrick III.

Judge William Orrick was appointed to his current position by President Barack Obama.

At the time of the appointment, Orrick was working at the law firm Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP. He has previously served as deputy assistant attorney general for the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice.

Obama nominated Orrick in June 2012, but Orrick was not approved until February 2013. This was mainly a party line vote, though Republican Jeff Flake broke with his party to vote to confirm Orrick.

2. He Donated Money to Barack Obama During the 2008 Campaign

When Barack Obama was running for president, Judge William Orrick reportedly helped raise money for him and donated some of his own money as well.

According to Public Citizen, a consumer rights advocacy group, Orrick donated approximately $30,000 to committees supporting Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign for president. In addition, he helped raise $200,000 in contributions to the Obama campaign.

This had not been Orrick’s first time raising money for a Democratic politician. During the 2004 election, he helped raise funds for John Kerry, according to Public Citizen.

Recalling the Preventable Tragedy of Extortion 17

The catastrophe at the compound in Benghazi, Libya has been well documented – books, movies, etc. Needless to say, there aren’t too many Americans who aren’t familiar with attack that killed four Americans, and the subsequent cover-up. To this day, no one has been held to account. Not Obama, Hillary, Susan Rice, etc.

Yet recently we were reminded of another entirely preventable event which took the lives of 38 fighters, 30 of which were American and 17 were U.S. Navy SEALs. The 17 included one officer and 9 senior enlisted – 7 Chiefs, 1 Senior and 1 Master Chief Petty Officer. Trust me when I say these gentlemen have been missed – not only to their loved ones, but operationally as well.

Sara Carter at Circa.com recounts the attack on Extortion 17, the August, 2011 downing of a Chinook helicopter gunship, and the greatest single day loss of Special Operations lives in American history. Mark Levin also highlighted this on his radio show the other evening.

Sara interviewed Retired Air Force Capt. Joni Marquez, who had a bird’s eye view of the whole tragic event – an event, which according to Marquez, was infinitely preventable if not for the ridiculous Rules of Engagement (ROEs) that have plagued our military from Vietnam to the present. However, under Obama, our warfighters had been particularly hamstrung.

Marquez told Carter that she was part of the aircrew of an Air Force AC-130 gunship in Afghanistan, when they received an order “to fly close-in air support above Afghanistan’s dangerous Tangi Valley, in Wardak Province, assisting troops with the Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment who were being fired on by eight heavily armed Taliban insurgents.” read more

Podcast – Trump Must End Ridiculous CAFE Standards

As he promised, Trump and his administration will seek to roll back Obama recently enacted auto fuel efficiency standards. Obama, in his want to drive the auto industry into ruin as he attempted to do to the energy industry, firmed up CAFE rules just one week before Trump took office.

But so-called experts claim that it will be difficult, if not impossible to roll back Obama’s regulatory rules. Of course it, because that’s how they write them. Make it easy to institute and impossible to rescind.

I hope Trump can pull this off, but the so-called experts aren’t very hopeful. read more
