Et tu, Gorsuch?
Et tu, Gorsuch? A little over three years into a lifetime appointment, and he’s already speaking for Justice Ginsburg when it comes to matters of transsexualism and forgotten all about Justice Scalia’s textualism.
No matter how hard we try, our “conservative” judges belly-flop into “strict constructionist” poseurs and weak-kneed judicial activists faster than Chief Justice Roberts can rewrite Obamacare into a tax. I mean, you try to keep these “originalist” jurists on a philosophically sound path. You teach them “right” from “wrong.” You instill in them a respect for the law and the importance of always telling the truth. You can’t be with them all the time, though. You know they’re being tempted by strange leftists to rule by emotion and always let the “ends justify the means,” but you tell yourself, “we can count on a judge described by many as Justice Scalia’s natural successor, right?” Right? read more

Just how far would a powerful, influential leftist go to stay out of prison?
We on the right, who write and podcast on nonfiction topics, try to keep the hyperbole to a minimum – to not exaggerate in order to emphasize a point. But every once in a while you just have to dust off the old tin-foil hat.
To the left this is a common practice. Disaster is always looming around the corner unless you vote for the liberal, impeach those on the right or pass certain legislation. And if don’t, people will die.
And then there is the constant refrain that if Trump does this or that, people will die.
The common denominator is that people will die.
But in real life, looking at real consequences, desperate times produce desperate people, and desperate people are capable of desperate things. read more
Any honest person must conclude by now that General Michael Flynn was set up. And his only crime was being a member of the Trump campaign.
And the set up now appears to have been orchestrated by former president Barack Obama, and his entire dirty, vindictive inner circle.

Jail time is all they should have to look forward to.
Friday’s news brought the welcome report that U.S. Attorney John Durham, investigating possibly illegal misconduct by the FBI and CIA against the Trump campaign, is focusing on the FBI’s illegal acts in prosecuting President Trump’s first national security advisor, Gen. Michael Flynn. According to reports by the Washington Examiner and Fox News, Durham is looking closely at newly revealed documents in the Flynn case.
As I wrote here on September 2, there was a conspiracy between the FBI and CIA to prevent Trump’s election and, when that failed, to interfere in his transition to the presidency. The conspiracy aimed at violating the civil rights of Trump and others, including Flynn and Carter Page. As that column explained, acting under color of law — i.e., as a federal official — to violate someone’s civil rights is illegal under 18 U.S. Code Section 242. A conspiracy to do so is a felony under 18 U.S. Code Section 371 punishable by five years in jail. read more

Deborah Frank Feinen, the mayor of Champaign, Illinois, issued a coronavirus-related emergency declaration Friday that will allow her office to ban the sale of guns, ammunition, and alcohol, take possession of private property and prohibit the entry and exit to and from the city.
The fear of the coronavirus is more of a pandemic than the virus itself and the democrats and the press are fueling that fear.
An irrational fear has gripped our nation like almost we’ve seen in the past. It’s much worse than the last pandemic that killed 10s of thousands. Yet strangely there was not the overhyped alarmism then that there is today.
I discuss the reason behind it. read more

The more I read about, listen to and watch coverage of the Trump impeachment show, the more I’m convinced that pound for pound, the Obama administration was the most corrupt in the history of the United States.
Oh sure, past administrations introduced more damaging policies, that have haunted our nation for decades – administrations like Woodrow Wilson’s, FDR’s and Johnson’s. But as far as criminal behavior, nobody even comes close.
And within the administration, nothing seems more corrupt that the U.S. “Deep” State Department. They worked directly with the FBI and the American Embassy in Ukraine. And all effectively working on behalf of George Soros. And if you know who that is you also know that you can’t look at a picture of George Soros without saying, “Look Mama, it’s the Devil.” (h/t the Waterboy)
Heck, one of the FBI supervisors involved in all this eventually went to work for Soros.
What was constantly touted by the Obama administration? Oh that’s right – the most transparent administration in history. Yeah right!

Has any politician ever been more wrong than Barack Obama was about U.S. oil production and energy independence? Based on the latest report from the International Energy Agency, the answer is unequivocally no.
On Tuesday, oil prices fell for the 12th consecutive decline. And amid that decline, the International Energy Agency forecasts that the U.S. will account for 75% of the growth in global oil production through 2025.
That’s a stunning finding that shows how dynamic the domestic oil and gas industry has become. read more
