WND Exclusive – True Size of the Fed Swamp will Blow Your Mind

“Draining the swamp” has become synonymous with both the Trump campaign and his presidency. Although it’s not a new saying, it has stuck with him since he first uttered it.

The phrase was first made popular by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, who also said he came to Washington to “drain the swamp.” Reagan’s sentiment was identical to Trump’s in that regard. Reagan also wished to roll back the size and scope of the federal government.

It was used again in 2007 by Nancy Pelosi, when the Republicans imploded and were tossed out, leaving her to be elevated to speaker of the House. However, her sentiment was just slightly different. She claimed to want to “drain the swamp” of over 10 years of Republican control of the House. read more

British Elite Special Forces to Allow Women

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The British Special Air Service, or SAS, is the effective forerunner for American Special Forces. They rival American operators in skill and toughness.

The elite SAS was founded in 1941, for the North Africa campaign against the Nazis. This was six months prior to the Americans entering the war. Two years later, in 1943, began what we know today as the Navy SEALs. When they began, the SEALs were known as the Naval Combat Demolition Unit, or NCDU, and worked exclusive in the water.

For almost three quarters of a century, the British SAS, SEALs, SWCC, Army Rangers, Delta, Green Berets, Marine Corps Special Operations Command, or MARSOC, and Air Force Special Operations Squadrons, or AFSOC, have been male only.

Then President “Feminizer” Obama was elected and things began to change – for the worse. The era of politically correct military social experimentation was on. And what a perfect group of test subjects – ones who can’t quit or merely walk out. Soldiers, sailors, airman and Marines were trapped and forced to put up with new military P.C. directives. read more

Liberal States to Enact Climate Change Rules

Despite 23 Years of no Warming!

from the American Spectator:

President Donald Trump announced his administration would withdraw the United States from the agreement. These pledges have led four states — Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York — to enact climate and energy policies based on the Obama-era social cost of carbon (SCC) calculations, which attempt to quantify the long-term economic damages associated with emitting one ton of carbon dioxide into the air. The Obama administration concluded for every ton of carbon dioxide released, $36 worth of damage occurs.

The SCC is based on flawed scientific and economic assumptions. As a result, the dozens of regulations imposed on the energy sector that were based on these calculations significantly and needlessly increase the cost of electricity without delivering any measurable environmental benefits. read more

Net Neutrality Finally on the Chopping Block

from IBD:

Net Neutrality Advocates Are Modern-Day Snake Oil Salesmen

When FCC Chairman Ajit Pai announced plans to repeal the Obama administration’s heavy-handed “net neutrality” regulations, critics acted as if the world were coming to an end. Actual consumers, however, aren’t likely to notice any difference, because the “problem” those rules were supposed to solve has always been wildly exaggerated.

Net neutrality sounds at first blush like a noble goal. Internet service providers shouldn’t, the argument goes, be allowed to favor some traffic over others, either by throttling speeds, charging more or taking any other action that discriminates against bits of data crossing their network.

But to enforce the rules, the Obama administration had to treat ISPs as if they were monopoly phone providers, which let the government not only impose net neutrality requirements, but gave it sweeping authority to regulate everything the ISPs did. read more

Power Insists She was not the Only Unmasker

from Constitution.com:

The investigation into the Obama administration’s unmasking of innocent American citizens continues to move forward, but also continues to grow more convoluted. In recent weeks we’ve learned that former United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power was responsible for requesting Americans be “unmasked” some 260 different times during her final year in the administration. It’s an odd realization because Power was not leading one of our intelligence agencies, or working in an investigative role, why would she need such highly classified intelligence?

On Tuesday, the lead House investigator, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) who heads the House Intelligence Committee told Fox News that she may not have done it at all. read more

A Little Justice comes to College Campuses

It’s been a busy news week, with headlines being dominated by the ridiculous flap over the NFL and their spoiled and apparently oppressed players – who are also part of the 1 percent.

If you had little interest in that, there was also the unsurprising stand-out victory of Judge Roy Moore over Luther Strange. Congrats to Alabama voters for not buying the bullcrap Strange, Trump, Pence and McConnell were selling. Although I believe Trump was sold a bill of goods and Pence was obligated to “have his back.”

But this is what elections are supposed to look like in America – where the good guy wins – or at least the better guy. Mo Brooks what the best guy – Judge Moore, the good guy – and Doctor Strange, the establishment villain. He’s not a real doctor. That’s a play on words.

But through the noise of the headlines, there was an important and little reported event that happened recently regarding higher education and beating back the politically correct takeover of American colleges. That is, if it’s not already too late.

Late last week, lacking much fanfare, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, figuratively tore up  the Obama-era “rules on how colleges should deal with accusations of sexual assault and issued new interim guidelines on the hot-button issue.” read more

Podcast – Trump and Obama have Something in Common

Both Obama and Trump have made exclamations regarding initiatives important to them. However, one’s words were of no account and the other, the exact opposite.

Trump’s order is a travel ban. No it’s not. Trump’s order is a Muslim ban. No it’s not. Yes it. It definitely is a travel ban. Trump said so.

This sounds exactly like what Obama said about his signature healthcare bill some eight years ago. It’s a penalty. No it’s not. It’s a tax. No it’s not. It’s definitely not a tax. Obama said so.

The Court didn’t take Obama’s words into account back then, when the supreme Court ruled it was not a penalty, as Obama insisted, but a tax.

Yet now the Courts only rule on Trump’s words. Sounds like a double standard. read more

No More Slush Funds for Community Agitators

Jeff Sessions Ends DOJ Handouts for Leftist Groups

from Breitbart:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a new policy on Wednesday that prohibits payouts to third parties in settlements reached by the Justice Department.

The announcement came in a memorandum to all U.S. attorneys and Justice Department leaders.

For decades, through a variety of initiatives, the DOJ has insisted on donations to third parties as part of the settlements it reaches with defendants, especially corporations. In the Obama administration, this practice took on the character of a “slush fund,” which funneled hundreds of millions of dollars from these corporate defendants and put it into the hands of non-government organizations. read more

Podcast – Liberal Media Shields Democrat Criminal – Should a President Receive a Pension – Venezuelan Protesters Throwing Poo Bombs

The New York Times must have been compelled to report on the conviction of one of their own, former U.S. Congresswoman Corrine Brown, but did their best to never mention that she is a Democrat. They can’t wait to announce when Republicans go up the river, but hid the fact that Brown was a liberal hack Dem.

It was decided long ago that a former President will receive a pension. If this is the case, it should not be tied to whether or not they choose to cash in after they leave office. It should not be political.

In Venezuela, protesters have taken to throwing anything they can when clashing with police. They’ve design a new weapon – called the poopootov cocktail.

New Sheriff at the FCC Will Undo Net Neutrality

Free speech has been on the lips of many these days. In conservative circles, it has usurped most other news. To some extent it should, for without it, where would we be?

Of the many free speech issues, none has received more press than has the UC Berkeley vs. Anne Coulter flap. This issue goes to heart of free speech and the Constitution.

The right claims that Ms. Coulter has the right to speak and that her “speech” should be protected, just as any leftist speaker would be. Of course at Berkeley, a leftist speaker would more likely be canonized than protested and shut down.

While the issue of Anne Coulter’s right to speak at Berkeley and her guaranteed safety is an important one, a recent Trump appointment that may affect all our free speech should be getting a lot more press than the college speaking circuit. read more
