Dems Give no Credit to Trump for Tax Cuts

from IBD:

Tax Revenues Jump 13% To Record High In April — When Will Dems Admit They Were Wrong About Trump’s Tax Cuts?

The federal government collected far more taxes this April than it did a year ago, despite the “budget busting” Trump tax cuts. So, we’ll ask again: Are the tax cuts paying for themselves?

According to the latest monthly report from the Congressional Budget Office, revenues in April totaled $515 billion — a 13% increase over last April and an all-time high for the month. read more

Trump Declares Dead, the One-Sided, Unsigned, Un-Agreed-Upon, Non-Agreement

On Tuesday night, Mark Levin was speaking of the Iran Nuclear deal that was just sent to the scrap heap by president Trump. To this Levin said it was a great decision. And he added that it was also a Statesmen’s decision with an accompanying Statesmen-like speech to the American people. I agree.

However, as Mark continued, he said something I disagree with and which I thing is quite important – ultimately the most important thing to be gleaned from this whole Obama/Kerry foreign policy scam.

That is that this deal wasn’t and isn’t foreign policy. It’s not a deal, an agreement, a treaty or anything else. It was merely a wish list laid out by Obama and his anti-colonialist, anti-Semitic brothers and sisters – no different than ones crafted for Santa Claus.

But then Mark went on to say that, “Barack Obama cut a deal with this rogue regime. John Kerry negotiated it.” Unfortunately this is not accurate. I know that Mark knows this and was merely making a point, but many less erudite do not – which is why I think it important to boil this Iran “agreement” down to its essence.

The essence of the agreement between the United States and Iran is as real as are unicorns. There is no essence because there is no deal. Never was one. read more

MSM Equates Human Rights Abuses to Trump calling them Fake News

from NewsBusters:

Kelly Jane Torrance of The Weekly Standard wrote a startling article on “Our self-obsessed parochial press corps” in the magazine’s May 7 edition. The setting was an April 20 State Department briefing on its report on human-rights abuses in other countries…but the reporters wanted to focus on the horrors of America, where a president says “Fake News.”

Another Waffle House Shooting Thwarted

from One News Now:

Armed La. Waffle House hero the media ignored

Not fitting in with its anti-gun narrative, the mainstream media has avoided coverage of an armed patron who shot two armed men robbing a Louisiana Waffle House late last week, putting one in the hospital – no other injuries were sustained.

This comes in stark contrast to the Tennessee Waffle House shooting coverage that has emblazoned the headlines of virtually every news hub across the nation, with most reports highlighting the fact that the hero thwarted the attack without a gun – after the gunman had already fatally shot four patrons.

Video Podcast – Let’s talk Korea

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The left is just so predictable. They just cannot see fit to giving even a modicum of credit to president Trump for anything.

So let’s talk Korea. The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. It is the longest war America will ever be involved in. That’s 68 years. Some might even say it’s the longest of any kind in modern history. This would be incorrectamundo. Israel has been at war with the Muslims since its founding in 1948.

And then along comes Trump. He doesn’t understand that you’re not allowed to be tough on your adversaries. You must not threaten. You must negotiate, cause that works so well.

Of course they are wrong. Strong-arm dictators and terrorists know only 1 thing, and that’s power and force. And thankfully, like Reagan with the Soviets, Kim actually believes that Trump will follow through on his threats. Which is why North Korea is now at the bargaining table. read more

The Left Corrects Itself?

Is this the start of a new trend? Is this the birth of possibly more honest reporting? Or is merely a one-off event that we conservatives can point to and say, “see, we told you sold.”

I’m going to opt for the latter.

from the Blaze:

New York Times reports on right wing conspiracies – then issues an epic correction

The New York Times was mocked on social media over a correction made Tuesday that revealed a bias many allege the news outlet has against conservatives.

Here’s what they corrected

In article detailing the role of Campbell Brown as the head of news partnerships for Facebook, technology reporter Nellie Bowles inserted an example of the “far-right conspiracy programming” that is still found on the social media behemoth. read more

A Walkout Based on Lies

Guest Post by: John Velisek USN (Ret.)

Thursday was a student walkout of over 3000 schools throughout the country as a way to show deference to the students murdered by a crazed gunman is Parkland Florida. This is a major story as it should be, but the reasons for the walkout mutated to nothing more than another reason to bash the NRA and innocent gun owners throughout the country.

The main premise, which was covered almost 24/7 by most of the progressive mainstream media, focused on the major issues that those in charge see them since the shooting. Guns are bad, assault weapons which are fluid in their definition at best, are worse, and the NRA are boogeymen who must be eradicated in any way possible.

Let’s talk of those really in charge of this whole show of concern and outrage. The Women’s March, Media Matters and ultimately George Soros have combined to organize all this. The teachers union comprised of forced dues-paying members and progressives who use the opportunity to instruct these children in the Marxist traditions that education uses as a base today.

The political indoctrination and propaganda that is being forced on these children today is the same as it has been for the college students that we all have seen in the streets burning and looting because they care more than you do, are more educated than you are, and are in every way, morally superior to those outside of the bubble they have placed themselves inside.

Being a social justice warrior sounds like a high level, morally superior person – someone who can walk on water and dispense truth like Tide Pods to any who will listen – almost a God-like creature who leads the ignorant masses to

Media Ignores McCabe’s Misdeeds

from Media Research Center:

On Wednesday, word leaked out that the FBI’s Inspector General’s office was recommending former deputy director, Andrew McCabe be fired for misleading their investigators who were looking into the handling of the Clinton e-mail investigation. The report hasn’t been made public yet but it comes as the Trump administration was experiencing numerous firings. While ABC, CBS, and NBC had previously hyped such firings, NBC ignored this one as ABC spent more time worried about McCabe’s pension. read more

CNN’s Chris Cillizza is not a Smart Man

from HotAir:

CNN’s Chris Cillizza On Deputy Scot Peterson: He Proved The NRA Wrong

CNN’s Chris Cillizza had a really awful hot take on the news that Sheriff’s Deputy Scot Peterson stood outside doing nothing while Nikolas Cruz was inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school shooting people. Cillizza’s take is that this proves, once and for all, that a ‘good guy with a gun’ doesn’t always stop a bad guy with a gun.

Cillizza:

“To stop a bad guy with a gun, it takes a good guy with a gun,” LaPierre said to applause from the CPAC crowd on Thursday morning. read more

To the Left, All Guns are Automatic

from NewsBusters:

Katy Tur Still Doesn’t Know What ‘Semiautomatic’ Means

Every time the term ‘semiautomatic weapon’ hits the mainstream, it’s almost certain that at least one pundit will put their foot in their mouth wile talking about firearms. Thanks to Katy Tur, that trend has continued.

On Thursday, the MSNBC host went on a furious rant about the availability of semiautomatic weapons, presumably arguing in favor of further restrictions on that class of firearm. However, it soon became clear that she was doing what so many others in the media have before her: confusing single-action semiautomatic fire with full auto. Let Ms. Tur serve as a reminder that fake news does not have to be deliberate in order to fit the bill. read more
