WND Exclusive – Harvey Weinstein: Product of the Leftist System

The left is a breeding ground for the worst kinds of people. The latest example is, of course, the despicable

ICK!!

Harvey Weinstein. For decades he has abused females in the movie and television industry. He lorded his power and influence over these poor women – making or breaking their careers by means of the sexual favors they could provide to him. All the while other leftists looked the other way or covered for him.

We all know that Hollywood is a sewer; Weinstein is just the latest sewer rat to be nailed. But, as I said – it’s not just Hollywood. Hollywood is a mere subset. For the left, immoral and amoral behavior is common. Harvey is a just another product of the system – the progressive leftist system. read more

Dove Finds Mixing Business and Race Dangerous

On April 22, 1800, Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to William Hamilton. Within the letter was the famous quote: “I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend. During the whole of the last war, which was trying enough, I never deserted a friend because he had taken an opposite side…”

The quote referred to Jefferson’s travel to Philadelphia to take the Vice Presidential oath of office on March 4, 1797. He said that many had come by to congratulate him – but many friends and acquaintances did not, owing only to political differences.

Yet as bad as Jefferson thought it was then, it is far worse today. These days, differences in religion and political views can get one hurt or worse. And it’s not just individuals. Sports teams and businesses are finding out that it’s better to steer clear of the caustic mix of business with politics.

However some corporations are wading in, trying mostly to curry favor with the socially progressive left. They are attempting to capitalize on what is today thought to be trendy. But they are discovering how dangerous it can be from both sides of the political spectrum.

Target stores took a major hit from the right when they announced their transgender bathroom and dressing room policy. And now Unilever, the makers of Dove products, are seeing a socially-conscious ad campaign backfire big time with leftists. read more

WND Exclusive – The left’s despicable use of emotion post-Vegas

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre, it took only a matter of hours before the left sought to divide us, howling for gun control. But as we’ve seen many times before, they don’t care how it sounds or looks. They don’t care how caustic their rhetoric is. It’s all and only about advancing the agenda.

The overarching agenda of the progressive left, since its rise to prominence in the early 20th century, was/is to chip away at and eventually supplant the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence with their version of America. And they will seize any opportunity do so, regardless of how tasteless. read more

Podcast – Explaining Gun Control and the Second Amendment

by: the Common Constitutionalist

First, I apologize, but I had almost immediate technical difficulties, so the podcast, after the opening, is in audio only. Such is life.

In this podcast, I give conservatives and gun rights advocates a little additional ammunition (pardon the pun) to combat the left’s soundbite arguments for confiscating our guns (which is truly what they desire), as well as an explanation of both the amendment process of the Constitution and the Second Amendment itself.

It’s surprising how many on our side cannot effectively argue these points. I hope this helps. read more

If You Don’t Blame Guns You Want People to Die

We don’t even have a full accounting of what happened in Las Vegas, or even what motivated this sick individual. But no matter – the gun control nuts came out almost immediately blaming the NRA and anyone who advocates for the Second Amendment and gun ownership. If after this you still think guns are not the problem, you must just want people to die.

The Left Can’t Wait to Confiscate

from the American Thinker:

Democrats Politicize Las Vegas before Blood Even Dry

Before the blood was even dry in Las Vegas, Democrats from coast to coast were pushing gun control. Hillary Clinton led the charge, finding time between fainting spells to tweet “Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.” (Translation: “Put your politics aside… and accept my politics! Oh, and my grief is never enough because I don’t feel any.”) But I guess, taking Rahm Emanuel’s counsel, leftists “never let a serious crisis go to waste.”

The waste, though, is that we’re even talking about this in a tragedy’s wake. But since the attacks have been launched, let’s discuss guns.

To use a twist on a Frédéric Bastiat line, the bad social analyst confines himself to the visible effect; the good social analyst considers not just the effects that can be seen, but those largely invisible and those that must be foreseen. Events such as Sunday’s massacre by murderer Stephen Paddock cannot be missed; they’re horrible, headline-making tragedies.

Another Example of Eco-Duplicity

by: the Common Constitutionalist

No Audio Version

Ahh – liberal hypocrisy.

We want green energy. We want to end the scourge of carbon pollution. We want it so bad that we’ll fly all over the world in our pollution-spewing private jets to advocate and raise awareness for solar and wind.

However, when you erect those enormous wind mills, just don’t install them in our back yards. Thus is the phony environmentalist refrain. Only this time a green-weenie, eco-celebrity (by marriage) isn’t necessarily complaining of the off-shore wind farm itself. He’s whining about how unsightly the underground cables carrying the much heralded eco-electricity are.

Singer Adele’s husband, Simon Konecki, multimillionaire founder of bottled water company Life Water, has hit out, as the Brits say, against German energy company E.ON corporation for their handling of the latest British off-shore £2 billion [$2.7 billion] wind farm installation.

Konecki, who claims to stand for everything green, is not against the Rampion offshore wind farm, but rather the cables that transfer power from the farm to land. read more

Video Podcast – Enough with NFL Social Justice

by: the Common Constitutionalist

At this point, NFL players, coaches, owners and executives deserve to be bashed by fans – including the President. You brought this on yourselves with your phony virtue signaling and hand-wringing.

America is the greatest country on Earth and this country and all your fans have afforded you the opportunity to play a GAME for a very good living. Now you want to bite off the hands that feed you and call it unity.

Well, we’re not buying what you’re selling. And it’s evident from the ratings and stock prices of the networks which broadcast your games. None of us go to games, or watch football to be preached at by the likes of you. Protest on your own time. When you hit the field, just shut up and play. read more

A Little Justice comes to College Campuses

by: the Common Constitutionalist

It’s been a busy news week, with headlines being dominated by the ridiculous flap over the NFL and their spoiled and apparently oppressed players – who are also part of the 1 percent.

If you had little interest in that, there was also the unsurprising stand-out victory of Judge Roy Moore over Luther Strange. Congrats to Alabama voters for not buying the bullcrap Strange, Trump, Pence and McConnell were selling. Although I believe Trump was sold a bill of goods and Pence was obligated to “have his back.”

But this is what elections are supposed to look like in America – where the good guy wins – or at least the better guy. Mo Brooks what the best guy – Judge Moore, the good guy – and Doctor Strange, the establishment villain. He’s not a real doctor. That’s a play on words.

But through the noise of the headlines, there was an important and little reported event that happened recently regarding higher education and beating back the politically correct takeover of American colleges. That is, if it’s not already too late.

Late last week, lacking much fanfare, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, figuratively tore up  the Obama-era “rules on how colleges should deal with accusations of sexual assault and issued new interim guidelines on the hot-button issue.” read more

Trump U.N. Speech Will Not Soon be Forgotten

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The Trump speech at the United Nations was a walk-off grand slam home-run. And I don’t even like baseball. I thought I was watching Big Papi!

But enough already. I feel like a darn Yo-Yo – or maybe Michael Corleone, from the Godfather 3. “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”

No, I’m not talking about the Mafia. I’m referring to my support of President Trump.

I’ve said at least a few times that I’ve developed shin splints as a result of jumping off and back on the Trump bandwagon. He’ll do or say something positive or constructive for the nation, and then follow it up a day or two later with something dopey – or vice versa.

This time around, he did something dopey, i.e., meeting with Schumer and Pelosi. I don’t care how clever you think Trump is – you don’t make deals with the devil(s) – nor do you even agree to meet with them. You don’t lend those two any legitimacy of any kind – ever. For his dalliance with the two democrats, I said I had one foot on and one off the Trump bandwagon.

Then he turns around and gives a speech for the ages at the United Nations – one that should swell the hearts of Americans who are sick and tired of the United States kowtowing to the despots and dictators who populate the U.N. read more
