Code Name: Johnny Walker

Jim DeFelice co-wrote the memoir of an Iraqi Muslim who worked with the Navy SEALs to find insurgents.  The book, Code Name: Johnny Walker, offers a unique perspective, showing how some Muslims will not remain silent against terrorism.  Johnny became the SEALs’ most trusted terp (interpreter), willing to sacrifice everything in an effort to improve his country and keep his SEAL brothers safe.  The book provides insight into what it was like to be an Iraqi working with Americans and how costly it was to him and his family.  American Thinker had the privilege of interviewing DeFelice and Johnny about the War in Iraq. read more

The New York Times Biased Coverage on Christian Persecution

from The Clarion Project:

The New York Times has finally found a victim of Islamic aggression in Nigeria worth reporting on: homosexuals.   In a big spread complete with pictures appearing last week, the NYT’s Adam Nossiter wrote “Wielding Whip and a Hard New Law, Nigeria Tries to ‘Sanitize’ Itself of Gays.”

While it’s all well and good to expose the persecution of any group, why does the NYT remain silent about the much more endemic and savage jihad to “sanitize” Nigeria of Christians—a jihad that has seen countless Christians butchered and countless churches destroyed?

A 2012 meeting of Nigerian church heads concluded that “the pattern of these killings [of Christians] does suggest to us a systematic ethnic and religious cleansing.”

Among other things in the group’s bid to cleanse the Muslim-majority north of all Christian presence, it has threatened to poison the food eaten by Christians and “to strike fear into the Christians of the power of Islam by kidnapping their women.” The group frequently storms areas where Christians and Muslims are intermingled—from villages to colleges—and singles the Christians out before slitting their throats. read more

Repeal and Replace Congress With Obama Boxes

by: the Common Constitutionalist

We’ve all heard the statement, that we are a nation of laws not men. For hundreds of years that has been true, until now. It seems we are now a nation of one man who makes law.

Obama’s defenders have, in lockstep, continued to state that, in fact, Obama has issued far fewer executive orders as have past presidents.

Now, any non-sycophantic thinking American would retort that it’s not the quantity but the quality, or in this case, the severity of the damage to the country and the Constitution.

But frankly, at this point he could say to his critics that he is willing, for the balance of his presidency, to issue but one more order and that will be to nullify the United States Constitution.

Now obviously that would be unreasonable, at least to some, but certainly not all.

Therefore, in lieu of that, I propose to dismantle the legislative branch of the government and replace the House and Senate with suggestion boxes. read more

Iran Airs Documentary Simulating Attack on U.S., Israel

A documentary aired on Iranian state TV Friday night featured threats from the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and computer-simulated attacks on American and Israeli targets.

The film (see below), titled “The Nightmare of Vultures, opens with a clip from Khamenei’s speech to the 2011 graduating class of a military academy where Khamenei warns, “Anybody who thinks of attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran should be prepared to receive strong slaps and iron fists from the Armed Forces. read more

Obama’s View On Terrorism

President Obama’s State of the Union gave us a look at the premises driving his foreign policy. It showed that he believes Islamic terrorists to be driven by frustration over perceived injustices at the hands of the West, rather than an ideology. It is because of this belief that he can promote the nuclear deal with Iran and depict the regime as a less threatening version of the Soviet Union.

Three key lines in the speech illustrated the fundamentals underlying the Obama Administration’s foreign policy.

First, Obama indicated that he sees terrorism-sponsoring Islamist regimes as comparable to the communists of the Cold War. Both are primarily motivated by power and wealth and are open to mutually-beneficial deals. He said:

“If John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan could negotiate with the Soviet Union, then surely a strong and confident America can negotiate with less powerful adversaries today.” read more

Mayor de Blasio Isn’t Socialist Enough

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Good news for those who live and work in New York City. Mayor de Blasio has been in office for just about a month and already things are changing.

The New York Post reported that the murder rate in New York City is up 33% in one month, since comrade de Blasio took office.

A source within the city’s police force told the Post, “This is the residual effect of de Blasio’s backlash against stop and frisk. Cops aren’t stopping people and taking guns off the street, which emboldens the criminals.”

However, the good news is that robberies are down 15%. Another police source explained that, “Robberies are down because it’s too damn cold to go out and rob someone. When it warms up, the number of robberies will go up too.” Ah, spring in New York City. Can’t wait!

Want more good news from the Big Apple? On Monday de Blasio declared that the city’s public schools will be closed for at least two Muslim holy days. Wonderful! And typical of liberal short-term thinking – I’m sure no thought was given to this decision – other than the feel-good political correctness of the gesture. read more

What I Learned While Watching the Superbowl

by: the Common Constitutionalist

I guess this really should be entitled, observations from the day of the Super Bowl.

Regarding the much ballyhooed interview of the President by Bill O’Reilly: If you didn’t see it, don’t bother. Obama didn’t say anything we didn’t expect him to. I’m not a big fan of Bill O’Reilly but I believe he did do his best in what was undoubtedly a very hostile environment. He had very little time to attempt to get some answers out of a soulless, unrepentant liar. I did hear rumors that there was a sniper trained on O’Reilly during the interview. Just kidding. Or am I?

That afternoon I learned that the actor Philip Seymour Hoffman had died. I guess technically that is true, he did die, but he should not be celebrated like the boy who ran into a burning home trying to save his uncle. Hoffman killed himself by the choice he made. He chose this fate. As far as we know, it wasn’t forced upon him. He apparently made the choice to leave behind his three children who now have no father. And don’t give me the, drug addiction is a disease argument. It isn’t. You can choose to stop or get help to do so. You may not choose to not get cancer or muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis, etc. It is a big difference.

Regarding the Super Bowl coin toss: Joe Namath may be over the hill, but he was not at fault. It was the referee who was at fault. He said it was, “my honor to have him tossed the coin”, and then just handed it to Joe. Everyone got a laugh at Namath’s expense. He is, or at least was, an easy target – but not this time. Watch the video:

I stand in support of Scarlett Johansson, a woman (hot as she may be) I most likely disagree with on every aspect of life. She has become an overnight Hollywood outcast because she dared to do a commercial for Sodastream. Sodastream, as most are well aware, is an evil Israeli company. So of course, anyone who promotes their product is an enemy of the Palestinian people, Islam and the wacky Hollywood left. I’ve also heard that she just did it for the money. That somehow that is bad. Although, I guess it’s only bad if it promotes evil, in the eyes of the left, like Israel. Well hooray for her ! Oh, and Roger Waters is an @&*hole.

And now the Piece de Resistance – the Super Bowl Coca-Cola ad and their celebration of leftist multiculturalism.

The Huffington Post reported that it simply and innocently “Reflects the reality of a multilingual America”. They also reported that 60 million “people” speak a language other than English. Notice they wrote “people”, not citizens. But I’m sure that was simply an oversight. Right!

Huff Po continued with a fun fact that, “America was multilingual long before English was spoken here”. Oh, you mean before we were a country that needed a common language in order to effectively communicate with each other without a Star Trek language translator?

The article also cited that, “Many of the founding fathers were multilingual”. Of course they were multilingual. Most of these men were highly educated and traveled abroad as ambassadors, so it was imperative to know at least one other language. She did however neglect to add that all the founding fathers had a perfect command of the English language.

Is the writer, Nataly Kelly really this stupid? Does she not know that English is the language of not only domestic but international commerce? That’s possible. Could it be she is simply a mindless tool for the multicultural left? Or maybe she knows exactly what she’s doing – making obvious but specious arguments to advance the cause that has proven throughout history to be counterintuitive to a functional society and nation.

At least the game turned out the way I wished.

al Qaeda’s First U.S. Cell

from The Clarion Project:

At least a dozen terror-linked individuals have been tied to the Islamic Center of Tucson (ICT). The mosque and the state of Arizona are mentioned 59 times in the 9/11 Commission Report.[1] The mosque is considered to be “basically the first cell of al Qaeda in the United States.”[2]

The mosque also has significant links to the Muslim Brotherhood

Is Obama’s Brother Pro-Terrorist?

Malik Obama, the president’s Kenyan half brother, was photographed in 2010 at a public event in Yemen wearing a ‘keffiyeh’ – a special scarf – bearing two anti-Israel slogans of the terror group Hamas, it emerged today.

‘Jerusalem is ours – WE ARE COMING,’ reads one saying. ‘From the river to the sea,’ says the other statement.

That rallying cry refers to Palestinian militants’ belief that the territory representing Israel, with the Jordan River to the east and the Mediterranean Sea to the west, rightfully belongs to them – and Israel should not exist.

Holder To Ban Religion In Terror Probes

While reading the following article, ask yourself why? What could be the administration’s possible motivation? Is it just political correctness gone amuck, the obvious affection for the Muslim Brotherhood or something else – something far worse? Something like the want to invoke Martial Law if another attack occurs. Whatever the motivation, it appears the administration is inviting another attack.

from IBD: According to NBC News, the Justice Department will soon prohibit religious profiling in terror cases. The move, if true, would completely blind federal law enforcement to the threat from Islamic extremism.

Already, the department has forced the FBI to bleach references to “Islam” and “jihad” from its counterterrorism training materials. It’s also made it harder for agents to infiltrate radical mosques.

But Attorney General Eric Holder reportedly now wants to make it illegal for agents to even consider religion in their investigations.

Democrats on the Hill are cheering the changes, along with the ACLU and radical Muslim Brotherhood front groups, who have all lobbied the administration for them. The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which has seen several of its officials jailed on terror-related charges, calls it “a step in the right direction.”

Appearing before the Democrat-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee in 2012, CAIR demanded the administration remove religion as a factor in terrorism investigations, even though just four years earlier Justice had named CAIR an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator. read more
