Illegals Get to Stay Which Makes ThinkProgress Happy

by: the Common Constitutionalist

The ultra-leftist site ThinkProgress is happier today. And why are they happier? Well, once again, liberal open-boarders politics may trump what is right and what is the law.

“A federal appeals court handed down a very brief, two paragraph order  on Monday that represents good news for the tens of thousands of immigrants currently subject to a campaign of intimidation from a trial judge,” they write.

Of course they aren’t talking about “immigrants.” They are referring to illegal aliens who were/are allowed to stay in the U.S. under the President’s also illegal “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) decree.

It is interesting and infinitely predictable, the metamorphosis of the term – from illegal alien, to illegal immigrant, to undocumented immigrant to now just immigrant, making the law breakers completely indistinguishable from those saps who chose to enter legally and play by the rules.

And what has federal Judge Andrew Hanen of the Southern District of Texas done that was so intimidating and egregious? He insisted that Obama Department of Justice lawyers act ethically in his courtroom and not lie to his face. The nerve of some judges. read more

Mexican Team Gets Home Field Advantage in America

By: the Common Constitutionalist

Anyone who has ever played a sport, or even attended a game understands how important having a home field advantage is. For example, my New England Patriots are virtually unbeatable at home. In fact most teams fare better at home. The players don’t have to interrupt their normal routines and can sleep in their own beds, etc.

But it is the fans which really seem to make the biggest difference. There is nothing more energizing to a player than to have 10’s of thousands of screaming fans on your side – and against the visitors. Just ask the Seattle Seahawks, who fare virtually as well as do the Patriots in their home stadium. Seattle has even coined the phrase, “The Twelve Man,” to pay homage to their fan-base.

There are still other teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers who have both a large traveling fan-base and also, like the Dallas Cowboys, have thousands of converted fans all over the nation.

There is another team however who enjoys an even larger home away from home fan advantage and that is the Mexican National Soccer (futbol) Team. read more

Podcast – Terrorist Smuggled into U.S. – Zika Baby Born in America – Trump May get a Windfall of Sympathy

In this episode I discuss an Afghan man with ties to the Taliban who was smuggled into the United States after traveling through 10 separate countries to get here. He was apprehended by 5 Pakistani men who accompanied were given asylum.

Segment two the discussion turns to the first Zika baby born in the New York tri-state area and the mother was from Honduras, possibly getting here on a tourist visa, expressly to have her child in America.

Segment three: The Donald may actually win the general election, thanks in part due to violent anti-Trump protests repeatedly caught on video for undecided voters to see. He may actually get the sympathy vote from people outraged by anti-Trump violence.

Podcast – HuffPo Loves Government Mandated Overtime – Congresswoman Suffers Swatting Hoax – Zika is Spreading in America

A writer at the Huffington Post is hailing Obama’s latest control issue – mandatory government decreed overtime pay for the private sector. He says it will likely benefit 12 million American families. I disagree.

I speak in segment two of a computer generating swatting hoax perpetrated on a Massachusetts Congresswoman in retaliation for a bill she introduced to prevent online harassment.

The Zika Virus has hit America, but don’t worry – it has nothing at all to do with the huge influx of immigrants streaming across our border. The CDC assures of that. Coincidently, I disagree with this also. read more

We Must Change Park Ranger Uniforms to Make Illegal Aliens Feel Better

by: the Common Constitutionalist

National Parks, originally known as Federal Reserves, have been in existence for well over 100 years with the first recognized in 1872 – that being Yellowstone, or Jellystone for you Yogi and Boo Boo enthusiasts. Back then there was really no one to look after the park – no National Park Service – no Park Rangers.

In 1886 Congress decided to charge the military with the task of overlooking and protecting Yellowstone, but they were not really equipped or trained to do the job properly. Park service demanded a different set of skills and knowledge that soldiers did not possess, not to mention that it took away from the military training these soldiers actually needed.

On August 25, 1916, the Park Ranger Service was born, which means their centennial is just around the corner. Prior to the military influence, 1872 -1886, those who loosely patrolled Yellowstone dressed in civilian attire, but since 1886, those who have looked after our National Parks have always been in uniform. And up until recently, this has been just fine.

But then again, many things have been just fine until the relatively recent rise of blubbering, over-sensitive leftism. Nowadays, there is almost nothing that won’t somehow offend a helpless liberal flower or a protected group – and it seems the Park Rangers have done just that. read more

One Way for an Illegal Alien to Come Out of the Shadows

by: the Common Constitutionalist

We’ve all heard the identity theft commercials from companies like LifeLock. When you pull up their site, you are treated to the following: “1 in 4 People Have Experienced Identity Theft.”

And they ain’t just whistling Dixie. Several years ago, I too was one of the unfortunate 1 in 4 Identity theft victims. I guess, I should be more specific. Thankfully my identity wasn’t stolen, but one of my bank accounts was hacked and virtually cleaned out in short order. I felt very angry and violated. I still don’t how it occurred, but thank heavens it hasn’t happened again.

So I feel for anyone else who has experienced it. But that was really nothing compared to a true identity theft. Identity theft is as the name describes, where someone can literally become you, for all intents and purposes. And it’s becoming much more common, which is why companies like LifeLock are in demand.

In cases of true identity theft , it can take years, even decades to clear your name completely and in some cases it never happens.

One such hard-case is that of a clean cut, model American citizen from Grand Prairie Texas, Marcus Calvillo who was in his early 20s when his problems began. He is now 46. read more

Illegal Alien Gets a Free Education

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Short of buying a house, paying for college is the number one expense any American will incur in our lifetimes. And today some Ivy League and specialty universities can run well above what the average home might cost.

I have a personal friend whose son is attending one of these universities which cater to a special type of science and engineering for which the tab is around $70,000 per year. This poor kid will be paying off his student loans until he retires. This may be a slight exaggeration, but only slight.

Sure, he was able to apply for and receive some assistance in the form of grants through the school, but it doesn’t amount to much, relative to the overall expense.

So when I read this, I about fell out of my seat. CNS reports that, “Sarah Espinoza Salamanca found it hard to find money for college after graduating from North Hollywood high school in Southern California. She was brought to the state illegally from Mexico by her parents when she was four, but following a free K-12 education, she faced paying tuition for college – something she could not afford.” read more

A Poorly Designed Fence Certainly Can’t Keep Them Out

By: the Common Constitutionalist

You may recall almost exactly three years ago, four politicians, two republicans and two democrats, departed Washington D.C. and headed to Arizona. The four ventured to the Southwest to tour the Mexico/Arizona border.

As Senators John McCain, Chuck Schumer, Jeff Flake and Michael Bennett walked a section of the 18 foot high fence, they witnessed something rather astonishing (at least to them).

No one would have believed it except that Senator McCain tweeted, “Just witnessed a woman successfully climb an 18 ft bollard fence a few yards from us in #Nogales.”

He added: “Border Patrol successfully apprehended her, but incident is reminder that threats to our border security are real.” You don’t say John. Maybe she was just coming over to do a job that an American won’t. Now, who once said that? Oh, that’s right – it was you Johnny.

Still, you’d like to think an incident like that would have had enough of an effect on even the most hardcore democrat to at least cause them to question their pro-illegal stance. But no – not even this harsh reality could convince them we have a “border security” problem. read more

Ted Cruz Was Right to Suggest Patrols of Muslim Enclaves

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Remember when Ted Cruz posted to his Facebook page the now infamous statement regarding Muslim neighborhoods? “We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized,” he wrote on the 22nd of March.

Later the same day, due to backlash from the spineless set on the left and right, the Cruz campaign clarified his position. It read: “We know what is happening with these isolated Muslim neighborhoods in Europe. If we want to prevent it from happening here, it is going to require an empowered, visible law enforcement presence that will both identify problem spots and partner with non-radical Americans who want to protect their homes.”

Personally I don’t think there was any need for further clarity, but we who are more informed about everything Islam would of course need no explanation. This was not for us, nor was it for the denialist left or the spineless right who fear upsetting everyone and anyone by speaking the truth. This post was no doubt intended for the less informed “security” voter. read more

What The Left Doesn’t Get About Deportation

A few days ago I read an article on the lefty website The Nation. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, but it’s good to keep up with what the enemy is thinking from time to time. And believe you me – today’s left is our enemy.

The article was entitled, “How Many Presidents Does It Take to Deport 11 Million People?”

I thought, gee, whatever can this be about? Leftist rag plus illegal aliens – couldn’t have anything to do with the Trump and Cruz proposals to deport all illegals, can it? Well, son of a gun – lucky guess, because, sure enough, the subtitle said it all: “There’s nothing realistic about the deportation fantasies of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. But that doesn’t make them any less terrifying.” read more
