No, We don’t want Illegal Aliens Dumped in our Counties

Ain’t this is a funny old world. I discussed this very topic in my most recent video podcast. You may view it here.

from Conservative Review:

It turns out that keeping waves of illegal immigrants out of our communities is a bipartisan goal

In retrospect, Donald Trump locked up the Republican presidential nomination the day he announced his candidacy. In words that will forever be etched in the minds of voters who were captivated by his boldness, Trump came down the escalator at Trump Tower on June 16, 2015, and announced, “The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.” He spoke directly to the unspoken concern of millions of Americans when he declared, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” read more

Video Podcast – The Immigration Migration – The Great Abortion Debate

by Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist:

The federal government is planning on dumping up to 1,000 illegal immigrants in two Florida Counties every month. Governor Ron DeSantis had no idea this was going happen. He was given no warning.

I discuss just how wrong this is and how it can possibly still be happening under president Trump.

Democrats are in a panic over several recent State abortion restriction laws.

I discuss the nonsensical arguments of the dems and just why they are in such a panic over an issue they claim is a slam dunk for the left. read more

Supreme Court May Side with Trump Administration on Census

I guess we’ll find out in June. Heaven knows why it takes a month and a half to deliberate. Aren’t these 9 Justices supposed to know the Constitution back to front? And I take a bit of umbrage to calling them supreme Court “conservatives,” as if it’s just another political appointment.

from the Washington Examiner:

Supreme Court conservatives appear poised to support Trump administration in census dispute

An ideologically divided Supreme Court on Tuesday seemed likely to back the Trump administration’s efforts to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.

For roughly 80 minutes, the justices heard arguments in a challenge to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross’s decision to include a question about citizenship on the census form, which lower court judges have found to be a violation of federal law and the Constitution.

But the court’s five conservative justices appeared poised to allow the question to remain on the census and seemed sympathetic to the Trump administration’s argument that a citizenship question was needed to bolster enforcement of the Voting Rights Act read more

Video Podcast – Will Trump send Illegals to Sanctuary Cities

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Doubtless we’ve all heard of Trump’s threat to bus thousands of illegals and refugees to sanctuary cities and States. He says that they are always saying what a benefit to the community these “immigrants” are. Mayors and Governors alike claim that all should be welcome, without preconditions. The more the merrier. Immigrants are what make these cities great and all that clap-trap. The new mantra is “no human is illegal.”

So growing increasingly and understandably frustrated, Trump has decided to call the sanctuary cities on the insistence of their “come one, come all” policy.

And the left is utterly unhinged over Trump’s threat, which came without warning.

But is Trump serious about this, or is this just thrown out as a campaign issue, or other, to force the dems hand? read more

Video Podcast – Democrat Illegal Alien Platform – So Many Candidates

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Democrat Illegal Alien Platform

A couple of the many dems vying for the presidential nod are unveiling immigration platforms. Kamala Harris and Julian Castro try to outdo each other by pushing the ball further left.

Too Many Candidates

There are currently 25 to 30 democrats vying for the nomination for President. They can’t all think they can win, so why are they running? I discuss the possibly that some are just looking to capitalize on the title of former presidential candidate and parlay it into a second career. read more

Trump Needs to Explain what Shutting Down the Border Really Means

from Conservative Review:

We can keep the ports open to commerce, secure our borders, and eat our avocados tooImage result for suspend all immigration

There is a difference between shutting down the border for commerce and suspending all immigration at our border.

The good news is that the media are finally admitting that the president has the authority to close the border. The bad news is that they are obfuscating the distinction between shutting off the entire border for commerce and suspending immigration requests at the border. The Trump administration would be wise to push back against it immediately and clarify this distinction.

The media is in full meltdown mode over Trump’s threat to “shut down” the border, as they predict doom and gloom for our economy, loss of jobs, and loss of revenue. We might even face an avocado shortage, according to the New York Times! Imagine that.

Never mind that the cost of one year’s border flow could add up to at least $150 billion for taxpayers. read more

Damn the Torpedoes – Cut Foreign Aid

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

During a time of increased illegal immigration at the Southern border in the summer of 2014, democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein encouraged President Barack Obama to use his “very broad power” to limit immigration as he saw fit.

In a letter sent to Obama, Feinstein noted that she spoke with Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson about how to address the immigration “crisis.”

“There is also an argument that there is sufficient flexibility in current law for the government to respond to the current crisis and that further legislation is not needed,” Feinstein said.

She was referring to Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows the president to limit immigration that is “detrimental to the interests of the United States.”

Feinstein continued to argue that “no legislation is necessary to give your administration the tools it needs to respond to this crisis, and that any needed temporary measures can be implemented through presidential action.”

My how the democrats are singing a different tune less than five years later. Crisis then – no crisis now. I’m sure it can’t have anything to do with the fact that Donald Trump is now president. Or maybe it’s that Obama was just so darn successful at curtailing illegal crossings that the crisis simply is no more. Yeah, I’m sure that’s it. read more

Billions in Remittances Sent Back to Central America

from the Daily Caller:

CENTRAL AMERICAN MIGRANTS ARE SENDING BILLIONS BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRIES

Foreign nationals from three Central American countries that send some of the highest numbers of illegal immigrants to the U.S. are sending back a record amount of money to their home countries.

Immigrants from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras sent back a record $120 billion in remittances this decade, according to an immigration expert who spoke to the Washington Examiner using U.N. and Latin American banking statistics. The numbers are expected to keep rising, with immigrants from these three nations having sent $17 billion in 2018 alone, and Central American bank data indicates that the trend will keeping going. read more

WND Exclusive – WHY IMMIGRATION IS OUT OF CONTROL

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

The other day on Rush Limbaugh’s radio program, he was discussing with a caller how the flood of illegal aliens continues over the border, while we are all transfixed on other issues such as the Mueller probe report, the outcome of the Manafort conviction, or the Lisa Page testimony.

There are many shiny objects that distract us from the problems that continue at the border.

The caller said that this is exactly what the left is attempting to do – use sleight-of-hand tricks to distract us from the left’s plan to have illegals infiltrate red states and turn them blue. read more

Congress Must Act Against Lower Courts They Created

from Conservative Review:

While everyone sleeps, the courts are abolishing all immigration enforcement

Congress could never get away with creating constitutional rights for illegal aliens to remain here, yet a single lower court just did so on Thursday. And where Congress would face deep reprisal in the next election, faceless judges will never feel the heat.

Conservatives fear that extreme Democrats might actually abolish ICE and all immigration enforcement, but the lower courts are already systematically abolishing ICE’s authority, nullifying immigration enforcement statutes, violating separation of powers, and constantly increasing the wave of bogus asylum-seekers that they originally spawned with other radical rulings. The latest ruling from the Ninth Circuit demonstrates that unless Republicans and the president begin pushing back against these radical judges and delegitimizing their rulings, Democrats will get everything they want without ever facing electoral backlash or even the need to win elections. read more
