Shattering the Global Warming Myth

from the Daily Caller:

STUDY: Satellites Show No Acceleration In Global Warming For 23 Years

Global warming has not accelerated temperature rise in the bulk atmosphere in more than two decades, according to a new study funded by the Department of Energy.

University of Alabama-Huntsville climate scientists John Christy and Richard McNider found that by removing the climate effects of volcanic eruptions early on in the satellite temperature record it showed virtually no change in the rate of warming since the early 1990s.

“We indicated 23 years ago — in our 1994 Nature article — that climate models had the atmosphere’s sensitivity to CO2 much too high,” Christy said in a statement. “This recent paper bolsters that conclusion.”

Christy and McNider found the rate of warming has been 0.096 degrees Celsius per decade after “the removal of volcanic cooling in the early part of the record,” which “is essentially the same value we determined in 1994 … using only 15 years of data.” read more

Trump Should Reconsider Ethanol Mandate

This is honest reporting. Many sites on the right do nothing but promote everything Trump. I as well support the President’s policies, but when he makes a wrong decision, he should be called out. This is one of those times and it’s important to point it out.

from IBD:

This is one campaign promise we wish President Trump would break. But alas, he just told his EPA to give up any thought of cutting back on the federal government’s anti-consumer, anti-environment ethanol mandate. Sad.

The story begins in 2005, when President Bush approved the Renewable Fuel Standard program as part of an energy bill, which required oil refiners to blend in predetermined amounts of “biofuels” into their gasoline, starting at 4 billion gallons in 2006.

A revised version of the RFS, which Bush signed in 2007, expanding the program, requiring ethanol levels to climb steadily to 36 billion gallons by 2022. read more

Another Example of Eco-Duplicity

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Ahh – liberal hypocrisy.

We want green energy. We want to end the scourge of carbon pollution. We want it so bad that we’ll fly all over the world in our pollution-spewing private jets to advocate and raise awareness for solar and wind.

However, when you erect those enormous wind mills, just don’t install them in our back yards. Thus is the phony environmentalist refrain. Only this time a green-weenie, eco-celebrity (by marriage) isn’t necessarily complaining of the off-shore wind farm itself. He’s whining about how unsightly the underground cables carrying the much heralded eco-electricity are.

Singer Adele’s husband, Simon Konecki, multimillionaire founder of bottled water company Life Water, has hit out, as the Brits say, against German energy company E.ON corporation for their handling of the latest British off-shore £2 billion [$2.7 billion] wind farm installation.

Konecki, who claims to stand for everything green, is not against the Rampion offshore wind farm, but rather the cables that transfer power from the farm to land. read more

Regular readers are likely familiar with Vincent Callebaut Architectures. The Paris-based firm continues to refine its unique take on sustainable architecture with its latest concept, the Nautilus Eco-Resort. Envisioned for the Philippines, the ambitious project would include rotating buildings and enough sustainable technology to ensure a surplus of energy is produced.

The Nautilus Eco-Resort would be located in a bay in an unspecified location in the Philippines, in shallow, calm waters, and would be supported on telescopic piles. The buildings would arranged into a shape inspired by the Fibonacci sequence.

Sixteen years after a controversial biodegradation plan allowed 1,000 truckloads of orange peels to be unloaded onto a barren, deforested area of Costa Rican land, a team of Princeton researchers has discovered unexpectedly positive results. The area that was covered with orange waste is now a lush, overgrown forest with richer soil and more tree species than the adjacent land that was untreated. read more

Total Eclipse Proves what a Joke Solar Energy Is

by: the Common Constitutionalist

Mass produced solar energy is a joke and a scheme to prey on the ignorance of tree huggers and the political correctness of government officials. Today’s solar eclipse proves it.

I’m not bashing solar energy as a whole. If one chooses to install panels on your property to supplement your electricity usage – knock yourself out. If it doesn’t break my leg or pick my pocket, I don’t care how anyone spends their own money. In other words – if what you do doesn’t harm me or confiscate my money, why should I care?

But there in lies the problem. The solar energy scam does both. It harms us all by creating a fallacy that we are endangering the Earth by the use of fossil fuels and that the cure is “renewable” energy like solar. Then the creators of this hoax con governments into confiscating our tax dollars and redistributing them to the solar industry by way of subsidies. Actually they don’t even need to “con” governments, for many of the renewable energy wackos work in government.

The left is predictable in their response. Well, they say, big oil and gas also receive massive government subsidies – so there. This is a disingenuous argument at best. It’s comparing apples to oranges. read more

You May be a Conservative American if:

You are wealthy, unapologetic and not racked with guilt.

You don’t believe you gained your wealth on the backs of the poor.

You are not wealthy, but want to be and don’t wish to rob or scam anyone to get that way.

You don’t feel guilty about wanting to keep more of what you’ve earned.

You don’t hate or wish to punish the people who have more than you, simply because they have more.

You are not a racist, but the left says you are.

Surviving After All Else Dies

In about 5 billion years’ time, our Sun will use up its reserves of hydrogen and begin to cool down and expand, cooking the Earth in a miasma of heat and radiation. Given our current trajectory, humans will probably be long gone by then anyway, but at least one lifeform will likely still be plodding along: the utterly unkillable tardigrade. According to a new study from Harvard and Oxford, it’ll take nothing short of the death of the Sun to finally do the species in – which bodes well for the resilience of life as a whole. read more

Global Warming Science – It’s Settled – They Lied Again

by: the Common Constitutionalist

How many times would you put up with being cheated on in a relationship? How many times would you tolerate being lied to? Is it one and done? Or maybe 2 – 3 – a half a dozen?

Obviously, this is a loaded question. It would depend on a number of factors. Independence vs. interdependence – or maybe just how forgiving a person is. Maybe it’s a relationship of convenience – like the Clintons – more a business partnership than a personal, loving relationship.

But what if the relationship were between you and cause? A cause you felt so strongly for, people considered you “wedded” to it. A cause like…oh…I don’t know…Global Warming.

What if you were all-in on man caused global warming because, as experts have oft-repeated, the science of global warming is settled? But then you found out that the cause you’ve been wedded to is almost entirely a lie? What would you do? You just may have to reevaluate your loyalty. read more
