Democrat Illegal Alien Platform

A couple of the many dems vying for the presidential nod are unveiling immigration platforms. Kamala Harris and Julian Castro try to outdo each other by pushing the ball further left.

Too Many Candidates

There are currently 25 to 30 democrats vying for the nomination for President. They can’t all think they can win, so why are they running? I discuss the possibly that some are just looking to capitalize on the title of former presidential candidate and parlay it into a second career. read more

MoveOn Protests to Demand Release of Unredacted Grand Jury Data

If you wish to know what the radical left is really up to, there’s no need to wonder. All one has to do is sign up for the MoveOn.org news-feed to be sent to the email address of your choosing.

For example, yesterday came an email alert of utmost importance. Of course every “alert” MoveOn sends is of the utmost importance.

In part it read:

“Dear MoveOn member,

Last night, Donald Trump’s hand-picked attorney general, William Barr, missed the deadline set by Congress to release the full Mueller report.

That’s why tomorrow, Thursday, April 4—at nearly 300 events around the country—the Nobody Is Above the Law coalition is joining together to demand that Barr immediately release the full report and supporting evidence.”

The Democrats are Doggedly Determined to Rid Us of the Electoral College

This past Sunday, my podcast explained the ins and outs of the Electoral College. Why it was developed and why it is as vitally important to our republic (no, we’re not a democracy) today as it was at our founding. Even more so. You may listen to it here.

And right on cue, the dems are starting the ball rolling.

from the Blaze:

Senate Democrats introduce constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College

A group of Senate Democrats say the Electoral College is an unfair system that needs to go and have introduced a constitutional amendment in order to have it abolished.

What are the details?

On Tuesday, the measure — sponsored by Democratic Sens. Dick Durbin (Ill.), Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), and Brian Schatz (Hawaii) — was officially introduced in the upper chamber, as companion legislation to a proposal already offered in the House.

According to CBS News, the campaign to get rid of the Electoral College gained steam among Democrats after the party’s 2000 and 2016 presidential nominees, Al Gore and Hillary Clinton, both lost White House bids despite garnering more of the popular vote than their Republican opponents.

Durbin issued a statement, saying, “Before the 2000 election, I introduced a bipartisan resolution to amend the Constitution and create a system of direct election for presidents. And I still believe today as I did then that the Electoral College is a relic from a shameful period in our nation’s history, and allows some votes to carry greater weight than others,” Fox News reported.

Podcast – The Electoral College – They Brought it Up – Not Us

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Okay – here we go again with the Electoral College. Why do we have to keep talking about the antiquated Electoral College?

But we on the right didn’t bring it up. The democrats continue to. I could be discussing other stuff, and really, who cares about the Electoral College. It’s dry and boring and does it really matter anyway?

Well, we better care and care a lot, because if the left wins the propaganda war and eventually somehow amends the Constitution or something, this country is finished. That’s not hyperbole – it’s cold hard fact.

If you want the Founders explanation of why it’s needed, read Federalist Paper, number 68, written by Alexander Hamilton.

I’m just doing it in modern day bad English.

So as long as the left keeps trying to ram pure democracy, mob rule, down our throats, we have to continue to at least try to educate those who might listen to the logic and beauty of our election system. read more

If You Don’t Support the Leftist Agenda – People Will Die

Yes, this video is almost two years old, but it’s as relevant today as it was then. And we still have the same cast of characters and the same silly issues the left continues to push. And with the 2020 presidential election heating up, you know the rhetoric will just become more hyperbolic as each candidate tries to push the envelope further to the radical left. As Rush Limbaugh says, it’s demonstrating absurdity by being absurd.

There is Tension in the Air over the Release of the Mueller Report

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

Oh the Muller Report! When will it be released to the public? Will it be released to the public? As of about 5:00 PM yesterday, the much anticipated report was in the hands of Attorney General William Barr and his Justice Department.

There hasn’t been this much buzz about a release of anything since the reintroduction of the Star Wars franchise.

But unlike Star Wars, which I love, the Mueller Report, at a total cost estimated to be north of $25 million, is going to be a total nothing burger. Nothing that was set out to be proven will even come close. That is, of course, Trump and Russia collusion.

And those who are touting it most are going to be the most disappointed.

Most have marveled at how tightly the Mueller team has kept this well-guarded report. In a town like D.C., that can’t keep a secret to save their lives, it is rather astounding that there have been few, if any, leaks. read more

Dems Not to Lose Strategy is a sure fire Win for Trump

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

A couple of days ago I ran across an article on the Atlantic website entitled, “How Not to Lose to Donald Trump,” by none other than Rahm Emanuel, current Mayor of Chicago, and former Chief of Staff/Consigliere to then president Barack Obama.

He is famous, or infamous, for the saying, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. … This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not before.”

And this, of course, goes for real and imagined or fabricated crises.

But coming from someone like Emanuel, I thought this strategy odd, that he would play not to lose instead of playing to win.

From the get-go, my first reaction was football. read more

WND Exclusive – DNC dumps Fox for Debates — will RNC act in Kind?

by Brent Smith for World Net Daily:

Well, isn’t this rich. I’d like to say it’s like the pot calling the kettle black, but I’d probably be accused of racism.

After all the years of conservatives complaining how the RNC just caves to the demands of the various leftist “news” networks, the DNC, for good or ill, steps up.

The Daily Caller writes that the head of the Democrat National Committee, Tom Perez, issued a statement that Fox News is “not in a position to host a fair and neutral [presidential candidates] debate.”

The DNC “announced Wednesday that they are not allowing Fox News to host any Democratic presidential debates this election cycle, citing the network’s alleged ‘inappropriate relationship’ with President Donald Trump.” read more

Just Let Everyone Vote, Why Don’t We

How much more radical can the democrats get? It’s no longer even a question as literally everything is now acceptable.

from Zero Hedge:

Democrats Vote To Give Illegal Immigrants The Right To Vote

House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice. As The Washington Times reports, the vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber – then under GOP control – voted to decry illegal immigrant voting.

“We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,” Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure.

Is This the Swan Song of the Electoral College?

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

For years, if not decades, the left has been attempting to rid the presidential election of the scourge of the Electoral College.

But despite their best efforts thus far, they’ve been unable to find a “loop hole” to exploit. It’s that darn Constitution’s fault. If we could just rewrite that, we’d be all set.

It’s just not fair, they say, that Hillary Clinton and Al Gore both won the popular vote, the vote of the people, the very underpinning of our democracy (which we are not), but were denied the presidency due to this arcane method of selection developed by a bunch of dead white racists some 250 years ago.

However, one progressive State may finally have found a long-dreamt-of solution? I guess time, and unfortunately the courts, will tell. I say unfortunately, because no matter how cut-and-dry a case may seem, the various brain-trusts in the courts could decide otherwise. Hello – ObamaCare. read more
