Soros is Busy Buying District Attorneys

Leftist kingmaker George Soros appears to understand how America really works.

While we are all wrapped up in the next midterm political election, Soros is doing something a bit different. And he’s been doing it for a few years now, and having some success.

Soros figured out who really runs the nation – who really wields the power – and it’s not the political class. In fact it’s what we conservatives have warned of for as long as I can remember.

It’s the judicial class who runs America – from the black-robed oligarchs at the supreme Court all the way down to local judges and prosecutors.

And that is where Soros is concentrating his fire, as it were. He’s pouring money into otherwise inconsequential State and local District Attorney races. read more

When Reporting on Candidates – Let’s Just Stick to the Facts

I think we would (and should) all agree that honest and accurate reporting of any subject is important, especially when it comes to which candidate to vote for in the next election. Sensationalism is great at all, if you’re the Hollywood Insider.

What we don’t need is innuendo, exaggeration and damnation by implication or association. That’s just shoddy journalism. An example might be that candidate A’s sister-in-law’s cousin’s son was just indicted on racketeering charges, so just what does this tell us about candidate A, hmmm?

It doesn’t tell a darn thing, but it places that little sliver of doubt in the minds of less informed voters, so the yellow journalist did his or her job.

And such is it, in my opinion, concerning democrat candidate, Jason Crow who is competing for a House seat in Colorado. He is a partner at the Denver law firm Holland & Hart. Assuming he makes it through the democrat primary, he will face off against Republican incumbent, Representative Mike Coffman.

Now Republican Coffman isn’t exactly what I’d call a conservative. His CR Liberty Score is an ‘F,’ at 44%. However Coffman has voted for the tax cut bill, voted to ban abortions after 20 weeks, cut the EPA budget, and voted to defund sanctuary cities. So he’s not all bad, and would be a darn sight better than any democrat. read more

Stunning: California Dems Reject Feinstein for Reelection

from Zero Hedge:

In Unexpected Snub, California Democrats Refuse To Endorse Feinstein For Reelection

In a stunning – if not altogether unexpected – blow to long-time California Senator Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the California state Democratic Party opted not to endorse their own senior senator as she prepares to start campaigning to defend her seat in the 2018 midterms.

Delegates to the state party convention instead favored progressive state Senate leader Kevin de León, over Feinstein by a 54% to 37% margin, according to results, which were announced early Sunday. And while neither candidate reached the 60% threshold required to receive the party endorsement outright for 2018, de Leon’s camp claimed it as a profound victory. read more

Dems May Regret not Voting for Tax Cuts

from IBD:

GOP Tax Cuts Are Turning Out To Be A Disaster … For Democrats

Not long ago, Democrats expected that the GOP tax cuts would be a political disaster for Republicans, just like ObamaCare was for Democrats in 2010. How’s that prediction working out?

Writing in the Atlantic in December, longtime political reporter Ron Brownstein argued that “President Trump and congressional Republicans have just taken the same leap of faith that Democrats did when they passed the Affordable Care Act.”

He went on to note that after Democrats passed ObamaCare in early 2010 — despite strong public opposition — the backlash from voters “helped propel Republicans to the biggest midterm gain in the House for either party since 1938 and gave them a majority in the chamber they still haven’t relinquished.” read more

Democrats are Using Our Youth

The democrat anti-gun parade (figuratively and literally) is well under way. And this time they’re leaving no stone unturned. They’ve enlisted the help of children. Although it’s more like the democrats have gotten these young skulls full of mush (h/t Rush) hooked on anti-gun crack and are now pimping them out to the main-stream leftist media.

Yet they want us to believe that it was the children who organized all these anti-gun rallies, marches and protests, rented the upscale busses, etc., all by themselves. Sure they did. The children certainly have not been coached and brainwashed to come out and argue against guns and our constitutionally protected rights – and they are definitely NOT being exploited for leftist political gain.

And by the way, lest someone mistake my claims for being heartless – I’m not making light of this latest tragedy. It is a tragedy – a senseless one. It’s the left’s choreographed response that bothers me – how they can get children to do their bidding, and no one seems to have a problem with it.

But what the children who have bought this gun control load of crap don’t comprehend is that the lying dems don’t want to actually do anything. How can I say such a think? We’ve all heard the heart-tugging speeches and interviews. The dems are serious this time! read more

Video Podcast – The Shutdown – The Reality of Immigration – Democrat Infighting

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The dreaded government shutdown is upon us. Anyone notice? Not yet at least. But is the shutdown, that we well know is a mere slowdown, a real problem? Is it real or just imaginary? Is the angst everyone claims to be feeling over the shutdown psychosomatic – just a Pavlovian response?

Leftists in France are finding out first hand, the joys of being overrun with refugees and immigrants. Their quest for a truly diverse society that they so often claim to want is backfiring. The French are finding it difficult for their children to obtain a decent education, due to the sudden diverse nature of their schools.

The democrats may not have as easy a time in the mid-term elections as is being promoted by the left. Caustic infighting among the Hillary/Bernie factions continues to fracture the party. And it appears as if they will be hard-pressed to find common ground before November. Coupled with their hopeless lack of fundraising and it may be a recipe for disaster. read more

Oprah is No Moderate

I take issue with some on the right believing that Oprah might turn out to be some sort of Joe Manchin-type democrat centrist. I’m not even sure Joe Manchin is any longer a Joe Manchin-type centrist democrat.

That right-wing sooth-sayer Bill Kristol, republican establishment hack and never-Trumper, who predicted that the Arab Spring would work out great, and has pretty much been wrong about everything else, believes The Oprah may be some sort of closet moderate.

He also believes she could win the democrat nomination and could make a better president than Trump. Wow – that’s a pretty bold statement for someone who knows nothing of Oprah’s actual politics, couldn’t have done even cursory research on her, but still claims that, “if she runs, couldn’t she win the Democratic nomination and the general election? And wouldn’t she be a better president than Trump?” read more

WND Exclusive – Out With the Old, In With the Old

After 113 years in the U.S. Senate, Orrin Hatch is finally calling it quits – assuming he actually will leave office this time around. OK, maybe it hasn’t been 113 years – just a mere four decades. It just feels that long.

Hatch may have once been a solid conservative, but like everyone else who has spent that much time inside the beltway, or the devil’s playground, he long ago became just another high-powered sell-out in the Republican machine. He has stuck around this long because of the awesome power he wields. And many in the party have asked him to stick around due to his senior status. It doesn’t matter that he is an establishment hack with a conservative Liberty Score of “F” (29 percent). It’s the power, control and the ability to arm twist they wish to maintain. read more

Should We Defend Roy Moore or Not

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

I’m no great supporter of Judge Roy Moore. Heck – I was a Mo Brooks guy. He’s looking pretty good right about now – isn’t he?

It seems few are coming to Moore’s defense. Everyone is so afraid to even go near the guy for fear that if the allegations of sexual misconduct are true, anyone who once defended him would also go down in flames.

Well, I’m going to defend him and assume he’s innocent until I discover otherwise. That’s called – you got it – the American way. Some of us still believe in the arcane principle of innocent until proven guilty. You don’t have to support or even like the guy to uphold this ideal.

I will because A: These are so far just uncorroborated and baseless accusations B: At least one accuser worked for both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and is campaigning for Moore’s democrat opponent. C: Indications are that Corfman, the main accuser, has claimed several pastors at various churches made sexual advances at her. D: “Former Secret Service agent Doug Lewis has made an [as yet] unsubstantiated claim that a WaPo reporter named “Beth” offered a family friend $1000 to accuse Roy Moore, and that a tape of the offer is in the hands of the DA.” Lewis claims the WaPo reporter lives right outside D.C. and donated to Hillary and the DNC in 2016. read more

Roy Moore is Tried and Convicted in the Court of Public Opinion

Did Alabama Senate candidate, Republican Roy Moore do it or not? Did he do what the woman, Leigh Corfman, accused him of doing some 38 years ago? Is he guilty of sexual misconduct with a minor or not?

Well, I don’t know, and neither does anyone else, save for Moore and Corfman.

But reading Corfman’s account of the events struck me as odd, as did the timing.

The girl says that Moore met her and her mother on a bench outside a courtroom one day in 1979 – a mere 38 years ago.

“He struck up a conversation, Corfman and her mother say, and offered to watch the girl while her mother went inside for a child custody hearing,” writes the Washington Post. “He said, ‘Oh, you don’t want her to go in there and hear all that. I’ll stay out here with her,’ ” says Corfman’s mother, Nancy Wells, 71. “I thought, how nice for him to want to take care of my little girl.”

A man that neither of them knows strikes up a conversation with Leigh and her mother outside a courtroom, offers to watch the daughter and the mother thinks nothing of it? I’m sorry, but even in 1979 this seems a little strange, not to mention the detail of what was said almost 40 years later. read more
