All White College Students Are Racist

I listen to Jay Severin at the Blaze Radio Network from time to time, although not as often as I used to. Back in the old (or at least older) days, Jay had his own show broadcast here in New England.

One of the catch phrases he used, when a college kid called into his program was, “best time of your life kid.” He still uses the phrase and for him, being an “older gentleman,” I’m sure that was true.

However, I don’t think he can necessarily say that and it be categorically so any longer, especially if you are white.

Many colleges today are discriminating against white students  and doing it outwardly and without shame – none more than Pomona College in Claremont, California.

Posters have been seen plastered all over the dorms entitled, “How to Be a (better) White Ally.” Reading the poster, I think it could have been crafted by the New Black Panther Party or Black Lives Matter. It is that offensive.

The poster should actually just read: “Whitey Go Home,” or “We Don’t Want Your Kind at This School.” And that’s not far from the truth, as “Pomona College had several events last year that white students were not allowed to attend.” read more

Building the University of Diversity

College may soon become like high school. All you have to do is show up and you’re accepted. How so, you may ask?

It seems many colleges and universities have begun dropping the SAT/ACT requirement for admission. And not just at no-name schools, like Muddy Water State (not a real school). No – major colleges like Columbia and George Washington University have joined over 850 colleges and universities who have curtailed the importance of or outright dropped these standardized tests.

These schools are instead taking a more “holistic” approach when screening students for admission. “When Columbia University took the plunge earlier this summer, dropping the SAT subject tests and SAT and ACT writing portions as application requirements starting next year, it became the first member of the Ivy League to do both.”

George Washington University has dropped testing for most freshman. This is great news for those in high school, no longer having to stress out over there SAT score, or pay again to take it over in an attempt to improve their scores.

But why abandon the time honored standardized test – why after all these years switch to the “holistic” approach? read more

Leftist Matt Damon still just a white guy

It’s not charitable to revel in another’s misery or take pleasure from a man’s misfortune or even bad press, but I make an exception when that someone is ultra-leftist hypocrite Matt Damon.

Damon spends his time on screen as tough guy Jason Bourne, whom I admittedly love. Quite the conundrum, I realize, but the Bourne movies are great.

Damon as Bourne travels the world using firearms to kill everything in sight, and those he doesn’t shoot he beats to a pulp. Ironic isn’t it, considering actor Matt Damon doesn’t think anyone should own a gun and that private gun owners are a menace and a bad influence. As a leftist, he fails to see the irony of his gun-wielding characters having a much bigger influence on people than you and I could ever hope to have. read more

We Must Have a Homosexual in Every Movie – at Least One

By: the Common Constitutionalist

Thank heavens for progressive Hollywood. Otherwise how would we know what to think about our culture, particularly the newest chic cause célèbre du jour, which is the LGBT movement?

Actually, let me reconsider that statement. It doesn’t matter what we think. We will be told by our statist overlords what to think, how to feel, what to accept and what and when to celebrate whatever new human right of their choosing. This of course is always done for our own good.

So, sorry Black and Hispanic actors and actresses – you’ve been displaced. Sure you’re people of color and all, but beyond that, you’re as passé as the rest of us heteros. There’s not much more advantage Hollywood can extract from your oppression, so they are moving on to the new frontier (pardon the pun) of jamming the LGBT agenda down the publics’ throat.

Case in point is the latest big-budget installment of the new Star Trek series of movies. Even if you’re not a Star Trek fan of old, you probably know, or would at least recognize, the actor George Takei who played Hikaru Sulu in the original 1960s television show. Takei has made cameo appearances in numerous television shows – the most recent of note is The Big Bang Theory. read more

Obama’s gay national monument

Congratulations, America – we now have our first homosexual national monument. While America and the world are all caught up in the drama that is Brexit, Obama has declared a gay bar in Greenwich Village, NYC, a national monument under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service.

Yep – tearing down our society one brick at a time.

The Stonewall Inn was a homosexual hangout in the ’60s. In 1969 police raided the joint, and riots ensued. From then on it has become known as the birthplace of the homosexual movement – as there was no LGBTQ back then. They were just cross-dressers and didn’t spend their time “questioning.” read more

Words May Wound but Islamists Will Kill

by: the Common Constitutionalist

On his June 16th radio show, Mark Levin said, “I made a suggestion to the gay community. I said you better exercise your second amendment rights while you still can. What did I mean by that,” asked Levin. “What I meant was that you need to acquire weapons to defend yourselves, because you’re being targeted by the Islamo-nazis.”

That’s a good piece of advice, as Levin is known to give. However, his advice runs up against the perceived reality of a lot of today’s youth. This reality is that for today’s youth, from 20-somethings (maybe older), all the way down to elementary school children, the fight instinct has been beaten out of them (figuratively speaking) with the bat of political correctness – leaving only the flight instinct.

Along the same vein as Levin’s advice, I wrote a piece  the other day calling for more Americans, particularly millennials, to fight back, become sheepdogs and stop acting like sheep, so when the wolves come calling, as one did in Orlando, you can and will stand up and protect the innocent.

Sadly, far too many young men and women (and other) have been conditioned to hide or flee, rather than fight. Obviously the parents bear some of the blame, but our education system, such that it is, also bears a great deal. read more

Dem platform 2012: How’d donkey party do?

On June 8 and 9, the Democrats had there first in a series of meetings to discuss their 2016 election platform. On their Facebook page, they described it as “the first in a series of regional events designed to engage every voice in the party.”

This two-day gathering could have taken place in Flint, Michigan (water crisis), Ferguson, Missouri (racial unrest) or Charlotte, North Carolina (transgender), but instead, it took place in Washington, D.C., in order to – you know – engage “every” voice in the party, because that’s where the little people whom leadership claim to represent would surely be. It certainly had nothing to do with the concentration of lobbyists, Big Education and labor union thugs and other assorted cronies who just happen to reside in D.C.

Because the process has just begun, there are no details to report as to specific platform agenda items. However, on Friday, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) did change their official convention banner. It’s quite lovely and tells us of at least one of their major platform issues at the 2016 convention. read more

Useless Departments and Programs Drive Up College Tuition

By: the Common Constitutionalist

Have you noticed that higher education is the only industry in America, other than maybe the “renewable energy” industry, that never gets any cheaper? Businesses in every other industry must compete for customers by cost cutting and innovating, allowing them to often offer a better product for less money.

Yet big education can continue to raise the cost of a college education almost recklessly without incurring the wrath of either their patrons or the unwashed 99%, who protest the runaway cost of every other “big” industry.

Ever wonder why that is and why the 99% unwashed protest class leaves them alone?

Well, for starters, the left understands that virtually all colleges and universities are themselves run by leftists, where the leadership of the protest class more than likely received their training on how to become a radical. It would therefore be a bit unseemly to bite off the hand that fed you, as it were.

Then there is the relatively new found mission of big education, which is the want to recruit more and more “low income” students, who they say, would never have the opportunity to go to college. And because low income students, they say,
“fear debt and have much less experience with debt than middle and upper income families. What little experience they have with debt is much more likely to be negative.” Yes, because debt for middle and upper class is such a positive experience. read more

Muslims vs Christians – Round Whatever

by: the Common Constitutionalist

It’s been the same old song for centuries – Muslims versus Christians. Actually, I suppose more accurately put would be Muslims versus – well, everyone else – Christians, Jews, Hindus, atheists – everyone. No other religion or community can coexist with adherent Muslims.

But more and more it is the Christians who incur the wrath of Muslims worldwide. It’s almost as if Muslims are trying to purge Christians from the world, particularly the Middle East and the surrounding regions.

Take Pakistan for example. There is a village in that country where the Muslim leadership has issued an ultimatum to all Christians living in Manta Bahauddin’s Chak 44. Heck of a name for a village, I know. And to make matters worse, if that’s possible, the Muslim majority has demanded the immediate surrender of a Christian for the horrific crime of watching a blasphemous video on his phone.

Naturally the child will stand trial and if found guilty, the youth will be forced to pay a fine and maybe do some community service. To us this still doesn’t exactly sound like reasonable punishment for simply viewing what the Muslim majority deemed as “blasphemous,” but it’s not terrible. True enough – if that’s what is planned for the young man. read more

Being American is a Microaggression

By: the Common Constitutionalist

On college campuses, it’s evidently a “microaggression” to call yourself an American.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult not to offend the poor little snot-nosed whiners who call themselves college students. Almost everything is an affront to their fragile sensibilities. What ever happened to Universities challenging convention and the ability and freedom on campus for free expression?

Unfortunately things have come full circle where there is no free thought or expression and the convention is hyper-sensitivity.

Now, I may be out of touch with current politically correct vernacular, but isn’t the term “Queer” considered derogatory to homosexuals? I thought it was, yet at the University of Virginia (UVA) there is a student organization which calls itself the “Queer Student Union” (QSU). Huh.

They describe themselves thusly: “The Queer Student Union at the University of Virginia is Charlottesville’s oldest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals. As such, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and confidential environment for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and queer individuals in the community. We also organize services, activities, and social programs for the student population at UVA, with an emphasis on queer culture and social thought. As the largest LGBTQ group on Grounds, we work to represent and advocate LGBTQ students’ concerns to the University’s administration, alumni/ae, and the local government.” read more
