Macy’s Muslim Line

from the Blaze:

Macy’s launching Islam-friendly clothing line this month

Macy’s is offering a new Muslim-friendly fashion line that features hijabs and modest clothing, a move criticized by conservatives and women’s rights activists who say it promotes an oppressive culture.

Recent social media and news reports show Iranian women publicly removing their hijabs in protest of a law that requires them to wear headscarves. A woman who publicly removed her hijab during a protest in Tehran could face a prison term of up to 10 years, according to published reports. read more

High School Musical Canceled due to Whiteness

from Constitution.com:

New York High School Cancels Musical Because White Kid Earned the Lead Role

Ithaca High School in Ithaca, New York, has officially canceled its school musical because a white girl was “outrageously” awarded the role of a “character of color” in the production and student activists threatened the school with charges of “racism.”

Calling themselves “Students United Ithaca,” the group of students succeeded in shutting down the school’s production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” after a white girl was given the role of Esmeralda, the gypsy girl who becomes the love interest of the doomed Hunchback, Quasimodo. read more

VA Votes to Remain Gender Specific

The Episcopal Church votes to make God gender neutral, but the VA opts for their motto to remain. Good for the New VA.

U.S. Veterans Affairs headquarters refuses request to make its motto ‘gender neutral’

The Department of Veterans Affairs has denied a request to make its motto “gender neutral,” reports Stars and Stripes, a military newspaper.

For 59 years, the VA’s motto has read: “To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan.” The quote comes from Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural address in 1865, the same year Lincoln created the government’s institution for volunteer soldiers. read more

Video Podcast – The Shutdown – The Reality of Immigration – Democrat Infighting

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The dreaded government shutdown is upon us. Anyone notice? Not yet at least. But is the shutdown, that we well know is a mere slowdown, a real problem? Is it real or just imaginary? Is the angst everyone claims to be feeling over the shutdown psychosomatic – just a Pavlovian response?

Leftists in France are finding out first hand, the joys of being overrun with refugees and immigrants. Their quest for a truly diverse society that they so often claim to want is backfiring. The French are finding it difficult for their children to obtain a decent education, due to the sudden diverse nature of their schools.

The democrats may not have as easy a time in the mid-term elections as is being promoted by the left. Caustic infighting among the Hillary/Bernie factions continues to fracture the party. And it appears as if they will be hard-pressed to find common ground before November. Coupled with their hopeless lack of fundraising and it may be a recipe for disaster. read more

Minnesota’s Somali Problem

from Creeping Sharia:

Minnesota’s “Little Mogadishu” celebrated at Reason.com

Not all that many years ago, the worst things you could say about Minneapolis were that it was very cold in the winter and, for an American city of its size, it was somewhat dull. On the plus side, this traditionally Scandinavian-American burg was a model of safety and cleanliness.

Well, that’s ancient history. Minneapolis is now the world’s #2 capital of Somali Muslims. (#1 is Mogadishu.) In the Somali community, unemployment and welfare dependency rates are high. The city is a major recruiting center for ISIS. At least a couple of ISIS recruits have used taxpayer-funded student loans to fly to the Middle East to become jihadists; many other local Somalis are suspected of wiring welfare cash to terrorist groups. Violent crime is epidemic: as recently as December 13, a Somali Muslim immigrant stabbed a Minneapolis woman no fewer than fourteen times on her way home from work. read more

California History Textbooks Celebrate the LGBT Movement

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

It is being reported that, “the California board of education brought to an end a decades-long campaign to emphasize lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender historical figures in state social-studies / history textbooks, approving K-8 volumes that make identity politics of all kinds the core of the subject.”

So grades K-8 will now be learning alternative history, of all the significant achievements of America’s homosexuals and cross-dressers. As a parent, I can think of nothing more enlightening than to teach my five year old that Ralph down the street, who dresses like a woman, is historically significant.

California State Senator Mark Leno, who represents San Francisco (where else) says that, “Most textbooks don’t include any historical information about the LGBT movement, which has great significance to both California and U.S. history. We are censoring the history lessons,” denying students “the facts of the struggle for equal rights.” Really – name three. And the annual gay-pride parade doesn’t count as being historically significant.

Coincidently, Leno is running for Mayor of San Francisco, but I’m sure this has nothing to do with his most recent push for LGBT significance. And last I checked, everyone in this country already has equal rights. Not special rights – just equal rights. read more

Podcast – The Sugar Tax – A Study of Cartoon Dialect

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The city of Seattle Washington has just instituted a massive tax on sugary beverages that is already hitting consumers hard. The tax is almost doubling the cost of sugary drinks. Consumers and small businesses are upset by it, but matters not to the Nanny State politicians and egg heads who are doing this for our own good.

Two academics have taken it upon themselves to study the dialects of childrens’ cartoon characters, and have found something both startling and apparently disturbing. Virtually all good guys (and girls) portrayed in cartoons have American accents, but villains are predominantly represented with English accents. This, they say, is a problem, because, as we know, Americans, particularly white Americans, are not supposed to be the good guys. read more

Be Prepared to be Peppered with Questions on Your Next Date

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

On Monday, Jeff Fisher, Jeffy, was filling in for Pat Gray on his Blaze Radio program. He spoke on many topics. One that interested me, because of the absurdity, was an article written by a radical feminist and posted on the website, “Wear Your Voice.”

The article was entitled, “10 THINGS EVERY INTERSECTIONAL FEMINIST SHOULD ASK ON A FIRST DATE.”

This person, who describes herself as a, “queer femme of color,” made an actual list of the 10 things everyone, or every radical leftist, should ask of a prospective friend, date or suitor, whether they be heterosexual, homosexual, or any of a dozen or so other classifications.

She says that she keeps, “close relationships with people who go beyond allyship; they’re true accomplices in the fight against white supremacy, queerphobia and misogyny. If you’re not going to support marginalized folks, then we can’t be friends, let alone date. The personal is political.”

Well I give her credit for one thing. She, unlike many leftists, at least admits that everything boils down to politics for those on the left. They seem to have nothing else. But what do I know. I’m a heterosexual Christian White guy who’s never been oppressed. Everything I am screams oppressor. read more

British Elite Special Forces to Allow Women

by: Brent Smith at the Common Constitutionalist

The British Special Air Service, or SAS, is the effective forerunner for American Special Forces. They rival American operators in skill and toughness.

The elite SAS was founded in 1941, for the North Africa campaign against the Nazis. This was six months prior to the Americans entering the war. Two years later, in 1943, began what we know today as the Navy SEALs. When they began, the SEALs were known as the Naval Combat Demolition Unit, or NCDU, and worked exclusive in the water.

For almost three quarters of a century, the British SAS, SEALs, SWCC, Army Rangers, Delta, Green Berets, Marine Corps Special Operations Command, or MARSOC, and Air Force Special Operations Squadrons, or AFSOC, have been male only.

Then President “Feminizer” Obama was elected and things began to change – for the worse. The era of politically correct military social experimentation was on. And what a perfect group of test subjects – ones who can’t quit or merely walk out. Soldiers, sailors, airman and Marines were trapped and forced to put up with new military P.C. directives. read more

LGBTTQQIP2SAATRSQ

What if someday, I decide I’m sick of the grind. I’m tried of working and earning a living. I just want to be taken care of. Heck, at this point I’m even too lazy to go to the welfare office and fill out all that paperwork in order to collect free stuff. I’m just done with all the responsibility of being a societal human.

May I then self identify as some sort of unique zoo animal? What animal? I don’t know – I’m questioning. But I will get a place to sleep, three squares a day, and my very own habitat to stretch my legs, should I desire. I mean – why the heck not? Of course this sounds completely ridiculous, or it would have maybe a decade or so ago. Now, I’m thinking it doesn’t sound that far-fetched.

After all, we humans are now able to run the gamut of self-identification. It started simply enough. We were male or female. But that was too simplistic. Then we expanded to heterosexual and homosexual. Still not good enough. If you are a homosexual female you’re not just homosexual, but lesbian. And because homosexual developed a negative connotation, it was changed to gay. I guess because homosexual men are also happy people. I don’t know.

Still, this did not define us all, so the acronym LGBT was coined. A person could comfortably identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. However, some in our society still felt left out – and we sure can’t have that. So the letter scramble continues, giving us the most inclusive acronym to date – LGBTTQQIP2SAA. read more
