The Congressional Super Committee. They got magic. They got poetry in their fingertips! (Thanks C.S.) I started writing this article with the intent to expose how ridiculous this Super Committee circus will be. Then I began thinking that this may be a setup to carve up the defense budget under the cover of dreaded gridlock. See, if the committee can’t agree on cuts (that’s a laugh, there will be no cuts), then automatic cuts will kick in according to the debt limit deal. These cuts will be quite real. Most of them directed at defense. You know defense, one of the few actual constitutional expenditures there are.

So I start thinking about connections. Ah yes, Leon Panetta. The newly confirmed Secretary of Defense. Formally the no-experience C.I.A. chief. But he was in the military in the 1960’s. Doesn’t that count for something? No. So was John Kerry. Why was he chosen to head defense? I heard that he was chosen specifically to gut the department. Cut us down to size. Absurd! Sounds like something a communist sympathizer would do. Looking into his background, I’m thinking if that’s not dead on, it’s real close. It all goes back to his ongoing friendship/relationship with Hugh DeLacy. Hugh was pen-pals with Leon. Hugh was also a known communist. He was a supporter of both the Chi-Coms & the Sandinistas. They both revealed, in their correspondences to one another, their shared belief of cutting the budgets of defense & foreign affairs as it relates to the spread of communism. By the way, at the time he (Panetta) was conversing with Delacy, Panetta was a member of Congress. One of the letters from Panetta was a non-public summary on U.S. military affairs. How odd. Evidently, none of this was of any concern prior to his confirmation to Sec-Def. That would be a red flag for me, but I’m not a public servant. What do I know.

I may be way wrong on this one, but I wouldn’t bet my lunch on it.

Marching for Jobs

On August 20th there will be a march against racial profiling in Detroit’s Clark Park. It’s called “The March without Fear”. The march was born from backlash of a raid on a school by I.C.E. for illegal aliens. Not immigrants, illegals. This, among other things, is a great example of how to control the debate by controlling the language. Lump illegal aliens in with all immigrants and voila, they are all just immigrants. Just like magic.

Detroit’s population has plummeted from 1.8 million in the 1950’s to around 713,000 today. That’s pitiful. A Detroit City Councilman claimed, “We need people”. What do you mean you need people? You can’t employ the ones you have now! What an idiotic statement. Michigan’s Governor stated, “We must embrace immigration.” He spoke of jobs that are created when people of different backgrounds work together. Governor Snyder said that the state republicans “anti-immigrant” bills were “unfortunate” and “created divisiveness”. There it is again. The bills are not anti-illegal alien (which they are) but just anti-immigrant. Peter Karmanos, Jr., chairman of Michigan based Compuware Corporation, speaking at a forum said, “both my parents were immigrants, it makes no sense.” I doubt they came here illegally Mr. Karmanos.

Here are some recent statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Michigan’s U-6 unemployment rate (the real rate) is about 21%. Bad enough but Detroit’s number is close to 45%. 45% unemployment? Are you kidding? The poverty rate for black & latino youths is 50% higher than whites & asians. Their unemployment rate is 60% higher. These poor black kids have no real skills or experience and now they have to compete with lower cost unskilled illegals. That’s compassionate. Still think they need people? They need companies to employ people. Naturally what will attract companies is more unskilled, non-english speaking illegal aliens. Makes perfect sense.

So march to your heart’s content. It won’t bring a single job to Detroit nor improve the city. But as long as it looks good and makes people feel better about themselves, that’s all that counts.

Barackalypse Now

Us.....................Black Hole....................Dead!

I Love the Smell of Financial collapse in the Morning! Well, is the country starting to melt down? I don’t know, but it doesn’t look good. We’ve been downgraded, the stock market is tanking, food is more expensive, fuel is more expensive. Your house isn’t worth crap. But hey, oil is way down. That’s good isn’t it? That’s great if it trickles down to us at the pump & if you don’t think about why it is. With the overall economy so bad, speculators are betting that no one will be able to afford to buy fuel. That will increase the supply, driving the price down. Great news for all you tree-hugging green marxists. Not for the lower price of fuel, but that we can’t afford to purchase it. But I digress.

There is one guy that may be quite happy about our collective financial woes. That’s the devil himself, George Soros. According to more than one, in-the-know source, Soros may have made a billion dollars off the recent U.S. downgrade. The sources include the ETF Daily News, The Money Morning & The Daily Mail. There are very few people or funds that could’ve or would’ve taken this risk (if it were actually a risk). With his long ties & deep penetration into the Obama administration, he is the likely choice. Couple that with the fact that he just took his hedge fund private so as to not have to disclose information as he used to. Maybe it’s not so much of a risk if you know ahead of time. Just sayin. If you search, you’ll find the rabbit hole runs very deep between him & the current administration. Many people have left this administration to go work for Soros funded groups. Conspiracy? Maybe. But is it really that far fetched? It’s not like he hasn’t done this type of thing before. Start stocking up on food!

Why I’m Depressed

Why I’m Depressed

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel , “Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land.”

Nearly 75 years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, “Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land.”

Today, the government has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the economy, the wars, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement funds, and everything…

I called a Suicide Hotline. I had to press 1 for English.

I was connected to a call center…in Pakistan . I told them I was suicidal. They got excited and asked if I could drive a truck.

Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?

This morning I was reading a New York Times article online (I surprise myself sometime) regarding the recent S&P downgrade of the U.S. credit rating. They actually did a pretty fair job of it. What I found fascinating is not the downgrade itself but that S&P, in my opinion, appears to be becoming politicized. I don’t know why, but I just assumed a rating agency would & should have no bias. How naïve of me.

I first suspected it to be so when S&P & Moody’s began pressuring Congress to do a deal. I thought, why would they care? Then I recalled a quote I had seen. “What we’re looking for is a raising of the (debt) limit. It doesn’t matter the process that they get there,” Steven Hess, the senior credit officer at Moody’s in New York, said in a telephone interview.

Well, that’s odd. They should only care about our credit worthiness, not how we achieve it. Why wouldn’t he say, “ We’re looking for real spending cuts. I don’t care the process”? I was starting to surmise, the fix was in. This was another created crisis (tarp, stimulus) designed for us to succumb to evermore spending. Why not keep going to the well? It seems to work every time.

S&P defended their downgrade decision, calling the bitter stand-off between President Obama and Congress over raising the debt ceiling a “debacle,” (poll tested word, no doubt) and warning that further downgrades may lie ahead.

Once again, why would they care about the process. Their one & only job (I thought) is to judge the outcome. That would be like Transunion calling you & saying they are going to lower your credit score if you don’t ask your boss for a raise. Then there is the statement, “The debacle (that word again) over the debt ceiling continued until almost the midnight hour,” said John B. Chambers, chairman of S&P’s sovereign ratings committee. Again, who cares! How is it their business?

I think the fix is indeed in. I believe the rating agencies are aligning with big spenders in Washington from both parties & are going to push until they get what they want, “a balanced approach” (another poll tested statement). That means tax increases now & spending cuts later never. It’s an upside down world when communist China, the largest holder of United States debt seems to be the only voice of reason. Go figure. They said on Saturday that Washington needed to “cure its addiction to debts” and “live within its means,” just hours after the S&P downgrade. What a concept.

Senator Kerry, The Ass

At least John Kerry is smart enough to know what he can get away with. One of the most harebrained statements I’ve heard in a bit. I was going to say in a long time, but it hasn’t been. The good Senator said. “And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media’s got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual. It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything’s put into this tit for tat equal battle and America’s losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t.” He was referring to the media covering the Tea Party. There will be no public outrage. I am not offended. maybe I should be. I would fully expect an autocrat to say it and if they could force us all to comply, they would. Could you imagine if Rand Paul proclaimed for us to no longer listen to the black caucus? Holy Crap! He’d be run out town at the very least. Probably be arrested for a hate speech crime. It’s the dumbest thing since Hillary said to watch Al Jazeera because it’s the most honest, real news out there. That wasn’t that long ago.

Stop the Presses, Carney is Honest

Jay Carney, White House press secretary, has kind of stepped in it. “The White House doesn’t create jobs,” Carney said, adding “the government, together — White House, Congress — creates policies that allow for greater job creation.” Yeah, ok. What’s all the uproar? We all know what he meant. True, but for ever we hear the left say the opposite & appear to mean it. Take credit when we can, dodge & deflect when we have to. I don’t want to hear, Republicans do it too. No, they don’t. Progressives, of which there are a majority on both sides do. Nancy Bella Pelosi, (must say the following like Dracula) I vant to suck you vallet (thanks Jay), said, “More jobs were created” in one year of Obama than in eight years of Bush. She also said that Obama has been a job creator from day one. Words mean things. The strategic use of the language is meant to confuse & sway people. I just thought this one moment of honesty was funny. He (Carney) will be taken to the woodshed for a little debrief. By the way. The slightly positive jobs number released today will be, as always, quietely revised down. Also, teachers are going to start being rehired this month. That will count toward this months phony number.

Latest Signings & Moves

So whiny Braylon Edwards lands in San Fran. I doubt he’ll be a positive. Jets didn’t think you were all that & a bag of chips. I believe they’re right. Bo Scaife of Tennessee hasn’t signed with anyone yet. He’ll visit the Bengals & Rams. Why would anyone want to go to the Bengals? Kevin Boss, TE for the Giants will work out for the Raiders. Giants should have found a way to keep him. The Law Firm, aka BenJarvis Green-Ellis resigns with the Pats. We now have about 600 running backs. I’m surprised they brought back Sammy Morris. Pre-Season starts next week. Can’t wait although it may be ugly. I predict a lot of injuries this year due to lack of practice & conditioning time. All for now.
